Even before we arrived in Siem Reap, I felt we were in good hands. My communication with Bunleat was excellent. Not only did he promptly answer my seemingly endless questions, but he also provided thoughtful suggestions for activities and sights that enhanced our trip. Bunleat took care of our family over multiple days in Siem Reap, and having him as both our driver and guide made the entire experience great! Everything was seamless and stress-free. The day before our arrival, he confirmed our airport pickup time and met us promptly in his spacious and comfortable SUV. After we arrived, we discussed a strategy for our sunrise visit to Angkor Wat the next morning. Our time there was amazing. Bunleat provided detailed explanations of the history and culture and somehow made it engaging even for our teenage son. Beyond Angkor Wat, he helped us plan our itinerary and suggested additional temples that we had not considered, including Banteay Srei, which ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. He also pointed out excellent photo opportunities throughout our visit. Bunleat consistently went above and beyond. When my son's stomach was upset, he took us to a pharmacy to get medicine. When he developed a large mosquito bite, he immediately produced a Band-Aid to protect it. He always seemed to be prepared for everything. He had an endless supply of cold water and chilled towels to help us cool down in the heat, and when it started to rain, umbrellas appeared. Even on our departure day, Bunleat knew shortcuts that got us to the airport quickly and without stress. By the end of our stay, Bunleat felt less like a guide and more like a friend who genuinely cared about making sure our family had the best possible experience in Cambodia. Thanks to Bunleat, our time in Cambodia was truly memorable. I would recommend him without hesitation to anyone visiting Siem Reap.

We booked our tour with Bunleat who was recommended by our son and daughter in law. They had toured with Bunleat approximately 15 years ago. We wanted to travel by road 1 way from Phonm Penh to Siem Reap by car and Bunleat arranged a private taxi for 3 of us. Bunleat is a very experienced guide and has lots of patience and does not rush. Took us around lots of places and at the end of 2nd day tour, he drove us to the airport which was very kind of him. His car was in clean and provided with ice cold water and wet towels. I would strongly recommend to book tours with Bunleat.

Bunleat is a fabulous guide. His English is excellent and he really knows his facts, but doesn't overload you. He gives you the right amount of information for each temple visited. He is also very patient with enthusiastic photographers who slow down the pace. 😁 Highly recommend him. He carried plenty of cold water, is prompt and the cold menthol infused towels to wipe down are a nice touch.

Outstanding private tour and guide. Bunchhoub our guide was very knowledgeable and proud about the history of Cambodia, has a good command of the English language and was very well spoken.

My father and I did the two day tour with Bunleat. The tour was very interesting, and the perfect mix of information and free space to explore. Bunleat was able to answer all of our questions, and was not overbearing with information. Having a car with ac and wet towels and water was a life saver in the hot May environment. Angkor Wat and the surrounding temples are truly a most see and I would recommend the tour we did.

Amazing tour overall! Our guide was really knowledgeable and in two days he took us to see 8-9 temples, also taking amazing pictures of us. As we are travelling with 3 and 4 years old children he paid a lot of care and attention to their needs.

Bunleat was amazing! He took care of all the details in advance so everywhere we went it was smooth. Fun to be with and very knowledgeable about the temples. Offered in depth information about the construction and history. We requested to change the schedule slightly and see some local art in addition. My friend and I did the 2 day Happy Angkor Wat Tour with Bunleat Horng and his wonderful driver whose name I am sorry I can't right now remember. Bunleat treated us to many stories of the temples, the history, the carvings, the meaning of the places and moments memorialized that we were experiencing. He was relaxed and yet kept us on schedule which is not always an easy thing to do for a guide. When he realized we weren't 'selfie types' he just pointed out places for a good view and let us explore. Lunches at local restaurants were excellent. Two stops on the second day at artist studios were perfect for us - both artists and natural dye enthusiasts. Each time we returned to the tuk tuk our driver immediately provided cold water and cold lemongrass scented towels to wash our faces, hands, and necks. It was divine! He was an excellent, careful driver and we always felt safe.

Our guide, Bunleat, was marvelous and fell of interesting stories and facts. He is funny, attentive to his guests welfare, and very knowledgeable The tour is amazing, and we saw many temples, each with a unique history and legend. We did a private tour with Bunleat and it was perfect for us older folks.

We went with Bunleat the guide for Happy Anghor Wat Tour. Bunleat is the most knowledgeable guide who shares an abundance of detail about the temples. He is polite and has a great sense of humor, as well as being an excellent photographer for us. We enjoyed exciting stories and historical information throughout the tour. Most importantly, Bunleat looked after our comfort and welfare through his attention to our wants and needs. A special shout out to our awesome driver!

Mr. Bunleat was a great experience. His knowledgement in history is excellent and he told us in a funny way so intereresting stories about all the different kings and gods so we have a chance to remember all these things. He knows very good photo-spots and took us always to quiet and not crowded placed and always walked around the temples to give us different views. So we highly recomend the tours with him. He is very friendly, funny and absolutly reliable.

This was a great way to get around and go to select temples if you don’t want to go to all of them and get lost or spend too much time wandering. There are so many temples with so much history, it’s so easy to get lost. It was great having our guide Borey explain everything. It was clear he was passionate about history and the city/country, which we really appreciated. Borey was down to earth and really flexible and accommodating. If you’re going when it’s hot, definitely be prepared to drink a lot of water and have sun protection. You’re in some of the temple areas for a bit, so it’s smart to carry a light water bottle with you. If you’re doing the sunrise tour, definitely ask your hotel (if applicable) to pack you a lunch and eat some before entering the temple if you can. You won’t eat for a couple hours after entering and I found I got hungry!

I had Sovandy as a tour guide for a two day temple tour and have nothing but fantastic things to say about the whole experience. He was extremely knowledgeable and able to answer all of my questions with ease, plus he's a 3-in-1 package (guide/driver/photographer)! He took me to all of the best photo locations at just the right time of day, and patiently waited for others to clear away for a more memorable photo. I wanted to move quickly as I had such a short time in Siem Reap, and Sovandy went out of his way to modify the itinerary to add a few more stops into my trip. This is the best time to visit Angkor Wat and other temples right now because we have had a quiet time to see all temples. Most of them were quiet and we could have peaceful time for ourselves. Under the recommendation of a friend, I booked a tour with Happy Angkor Wat Tour. After a bit of back and forth, I decided on doing the two day tour with Sunrise. It was well worth the journey to get to Angkor Wat. My guide, Borey, made it an incredibly enjoyable journey by shuttling me between the temples safely, showing me all of the sights while teaching me of all of the interesting tidbits of history (how it was built, the stories and religions they were meant to represent, why certain things were missing, and so much more). I cannot stress how good Borey was. He was so incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and thoughtful. A vivid storyteller, a resposible guide looking out for you, and a funny guy to boot. Last but not least, the Sunrise is worth all the pain and effort to get up at whatever crazy hour it may be at. It's a truly gorgeous sight that I personally will never forget (though I was told I was very lucky that it was unusually clear sky). So book this tour, you will not regret it.

Absolutely amazing, Hang was a fabulous guide that really took us to the most amazing temples, he was so knowledgeable and really took the time to explain everything to us. It is our second time using Happy Angkor Tours and they have been incredible both times!!

We were so blessed to do this tour with Borey Hang as our guide. Borey was a sensational guide and mentor to assist us in exploring the temples in Angkor over two days . He was informative, knowledgeable and thoughtful and demonstrated immense respect for the environment we were visiting as well as remaining very respectful of us and our needs. We are both nearly 70 and fairly fit but this was a rigorous few days with lots of climbing and walking (and incredible heat and humidity) but Borey allowed us to rest as we needed to at times with great regard whilst at the same time commenting on our stamina and determination. He responded to all our questions and we walked away not only with a deep appreciation of the temples but also increased knowledge and respect for the Cambodian people and community . We feel we gained a friend on this visit and hope to stay in contact with Borey along our life journey. Borey also assisted us with finding a driver to take us from Siem Reap to Phnom Phenh who was also a wonderful young man and a very good driver (Sophal) who we loved travelling with and loved sharing his story.

The tour was fantastic and extremely flexible. We went to all the main temples, did sunrise and sunset and went to other temples. Our tour guide Samath was fantastic and would adjust the tour with what we wanted and shift depending on the weather, etc. Our driver Srieng was great too! He was always on time, would offer waters and cold towels every time we went to the van. He always had a smile and was willing to help.

We took this tour with our guide Vanny and it was awesome! We came to Cambodia mainly for Angkor Wat and Vanny's really deep knowledge gave us tons of context about the history as well as the Buddhist/Hindu imagery. It is insanely hot in Cambodia, but they had a van with AC and our driver Ang always had cold hand towels and water waiting for us, a true life saver. Their route allowed us to avoid the busiest crowds and/or get there before most of the crowds so we actually had quite a lot of the sites almost entirely to ourselves. Very amazing, thanks Vanny and Ang!

We just finished an incredible 2 day tour of the temples in Siem Reap. Our tour guide, Vanny, was knowledgeable, funny, passionate, and a big Game of Thrones fan! He knew so much history of Cambodia and the temples and he had a lot of background knowledge about Hinduism and Buddhism - he told us Hindu mythology stories with a huge smile on his face! The tour is set up to go to temples when they are the quietest and least busy. Vanny knew all the right spots to take us to have a quiet experience - many times we had the temple almost entirely to ourselves! Vanny also loves to find the best spots to take the perfect photo for you. He has suggestions of where to stand to get the perfect backdrop and he is happy to take endless photos for your group. Our driver, Dara, was excellent as well! Every time we got back to the car, he was waiting for us with cold water and often had a cold towel to help us cool down. I highly recommend this tour company and Vanny and Dara in particular! Request them when booking for unforgettable stories, laughs, and pictures!

From the enquiry and organisation through payment and delivery this was a well organised tour. We spent a Wonderful 2 days touring a number of the temples with sunrise over Angkor Wat and sunset over lake Sras Srang. Narith our tour guide for the two days shared his knowledge and love for Angkor in a way that was catching, he showed us the best of the temples and how to take great photos.. even stepping in as photographer when we needed. He made sure we had the right amount of time at each site and we never felt rushed. Narith was an excellent guide who I’d recommend to anyone that wants an informative relaxed tour. Ang our driver made sure we reached each temple as planned and gave us iced water and towels after each visit to help us recover from the heat of the day. We were here during March and experienced the only good effect of the Coronavirus which was a visit without queues and hordes of people. A bucket list item that got ticked off the list in the best way.

A fantastic 2 day tour with expert guidance and care. We were taken to the best places, avoided the crowds and got great photos. Vanny is an amazing guide - very knowledgeable and passionate about the history and architecture. His English is good and we understood everything. He took a lot of photos that we would not have got with other guides or on our own. The driver was great too - offering us cold cloths and iced bottled water throughout. Had a great 2-day tour with Mr. Sovandy tbrough Angkor Wat. He had an answer to every question my friend and I had about the tour. Would highly recommend choosing Mr. Sovandy as your guide. He is very personable, and is also a professional photographer if you are alone and need some help taking pics. Can’t explain how much we appreciated his service. Will be back someday.

Mr. Sokkung was a great tour guide. He knows all the great photo spots, short cuts, and times to avoid the crowds (believe me - you'll see a LOT of people around the special temples). Sokkung was very knowledgeable with history of each temple, who/when it was built and also explained significance of certain structures (like the pond, library, etc). He made it fun by sharing stories from recent times to help me get an idea about Cambodia as people know it today. Overall, a great experience. Solo travellers pay a premium but you get a dedicated vehicle and not clubbed with a group. Sunrise day was spectacular and planned well to beat the crowds.

Though I’m sure other tours are also fantastic, there are several reasons that make this one stand out above the rest: First of all, Vanny is the name of the guide to ask for. We saw 14 temples in two days. He and his driver Ang Chong were very punctual, well prepared, and organized. Vanny knows all the best spots to see in each temple, spots we would have never found ourselves. He is kind, has a good sense of humor, is patient, speaks fantastic English, and is trustworthy. We felt very comfortable with him right away. Learning more about the temple is something Vanny is clearly passionate about and does on his own time. He knows a lot about the history, religion, and culture of the temples. He pointed out details we would have never known about. Vanny explained centuries of history in a way that was understandable and entertaining. I was blown away by how much knowledge he has - even about various plants or animals we casually passed by. He is also passionate about photography. He took numerous pictures of us, in very clever places and angles in relation to temple structures. Never did we have to ask for more pictures, Vanny took several each temple. We will cherish them forever. They are really amazing shots. After each temple Ang Chong was friendly, greeting us with a cool towel and water. This was so refreshing and exactly what we needed after being in the heat. We can’t recommend him highly enough. An absolutely amazing tour organized by Happy Angkor Wat tour. Everything worked out exceptionally well: we were picked up from the hotel on time, the tour guide was extraordinary knowledgeable and took us to all known and less known, but equally beautiful, places. The car they used was a Lexus RX300 which contributed to the overall comfort of the tour. Now a special word about our amazing tour guide: Remi. For all photographers out there, professional, amateur or somewhere in-between: if you want to come back home with a set of temple pictures unmatched in angles, light and composition, ensure you ask for Remi to be your tour guide. This guy knows every single temple like his own pocket. He will show you angles of shooting that are not immediately noticeable and therefore not crowded and above all unique. All in one, we finished the tour with very happy memories and a set of pictures in our cameras that are second to none.

We have the greatest time with Vanny! Would absolutely recommend booking him for a tour. We did the two day tour of Angkor Wat and it was perfect. We saw over 10 temples, learned about the religions and history, and took incredible pictures. Vanny was awesome in showing us all of the best spots for photos, and sequenced our day to avoid the crowds. He really brought the history to life!

There are not enough good things to say about Vanny: his English was perfect, he was knowledgeable, he was friendly, he helped us throughout the tour and with meals. Happy Angkor WAT Tour is worth every penny. I just enjoyed a two-day tour with a sunrise on the second day and would do it again in a heartbeat. Vanny was an amazing guide and took us to countless temples including the well known spots and many less touristed places. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history, architecture, and mythology and shared the information with great enthusiasm and humor. To our pleasant surprise, he also was an incredible photographer and offered to take pictures of us in all the most beautiful spots we never would have found on our own, and in various places where movies were filmed or celebrity visitors were spotted. He enhanced our temple experience immeasurably. Our driver Bong Ang was also wonderful! He provided chilled water bottles and cold towels every time we reentered the air-conditioned van. These items were necessary in the heat and helped us stay comfortable and engaged throughout the days. The sunrise was also lovely and I recommend adding it to your trip package. This was a fantastic experience. Our tour guide Vanny, spoke great English and was clearly passionate about the temples, history and culture. Him and the driver Mr Ang were on time and professional throughout. I felt like we got so much more out of the experience doing it this way- from the order in which we went to the temples that avoided all the crowds, to the cool smaller temples we wouldn’t have seen, to Vanny’s stories and photo op spots. The two days we spent touring with our tour guide Bunhak and our driver Bong Ang were so wonderful. They were both so kind and made our time in Cambodia so memorable. Bunhak taught us so much about the history of Cambodia but made it interesting for both the adults and children in our group. Our driver was so kind and took such good care of us and always provided us with cold refreshing towels and water, as well as interjected with interesting stories and points of interest. Our Guide Buhak was so knowledgeable about the history of his country and surrounding countries. We learned so much from his. He also knew how to navigate the masses of people at the temples, exactly when to go where to avoid the crowds, we really showed of everywhere at the most perfect times, sometimes as if we had the whole place to ourselves. Not to mention his photography skills... he took the most amazing photographs for us throughout the day.. constantly pointing out places that would make beautiful photographs. I wholeheartedly recommend Happy Angkor Was Tour, from the beginning they were way to deal with, and perhaps you will be lucky enough to get Mr. Buhnak and Mr. Bong Ang to spend your days with. We had a wonderful time with our guide Narith and driver Mr. Ang. They were so knowledgeable about the temples, Cambodian history and every day life in Angkor Wat. Narith was a good conversationalist, a great photographer and a nice man. One of our party has Celiac disease and one is vegetarian and they were so helpful in helping us negotiate during our food allergies and preferences. We traveled with a list of things we could not eat and Narith made sure the restaurants understood our needs. I highly recommend using Happy Angkor Wat Tours and asking for Narith and Mr. Ang. (There are many companies with similar names so watch out!!)

We went for a tour of the temples over two days with one sunrise at Angkor Wat. The tour guide company provided us with a driver, Mr Bong Ang and a tour guide, Mr Buhnak, during these two days. They were waiting for us at our hotel lobby right on time on both days. With the weather being extremely hot, we were provided with cold towels and cold water after each excursion to a temple or place of interest for which we are more grateful for than we can say. Our driver and tour guide were both very accommodating and friendly and were always ready to offer assistance for whatever we needed. A special shout out to our tour guide, Mr Buhnak, a humble and kind person, who was exceptional in his duties. He knew when we should visit different places to avoid large crowds and he knew all the spots for getting good pictures. On top of that, he was very gracious in offering to take our pictures for us, and the credit for most of our beautiful pictures goes to him. Mr, Buhnak is also very knowledgeable about the history and details of each and every place that we visited. There was no question he couldn't answer and we learnt a lot just by listening to him. His explanations made our excursions to these beautiful ancient sites so much more interesting and meaningful. We highly recommend Happy Angkor Wat Tour to everyone. You can rest easy knowing you will be well taken care of.

This tour was absolutely fantastic. Thanks to Vanny we got so much more out of our visit than we would have had we tried to go around by ourselves. In excellent English he taught us about Hinduism, Buddhism, art, architecture and history. His itinerary took us through 15 temples, ordered so as to avoid the crowds (hitting Angkor Wat first thing in the morning, for example). Our driver was always ready with a bottle of water and a cold towel and, when needed, an umbrella, and it was very effortless getting around the different sites.
