An amazing experience with a very knowledgeable guide. We learnt everything about Marsala salt and wine followed by a lagoon boat trip learning about local history. The guide accompanied us for the whole 4 hour trip, also allowing us to stop in Marsala to visit the town and cathedral, making us feel really looked after. Would thoroughly recommend.

Francesco was truly a delight, and we loved his sense of humor and expertise regarding the salt flats region, history; Marsala and its wine making history as well. I highly recommend this tour!

The experience with Alessio was wonderful. My husband was unwell so it ended up being just me. The tour covered the Florio Winery and some of the Trapani salt pans, both absolutely fascinating and such important parts of Sicily’s history. Alessio was full of information, very personable, responsive and punctual. He indulged my flamingo chasing desires by stopping at little points to let me try to take photos. He also gave us great recommendations for Trapani and Erice. Highly recommend this experience. Just want to come back to western Sicily immediately— still so much to see!

An unforgettable experience! Alessio’s Mothia lagoon tour was rich with history and fascinating insights into traditional salt making. Following this, Alessio took us to the Pellegrino winery in Marsala. This experience was equally superb, with excellent wines and expert explanations by the winery’s host. Alessio’s knowledge, warmth, and attention to detail made this a truly exceptional day. Highly recommended!

We toured w/Alessio of Trapani Emotions on a lovely Saturday afternoon . We went on the Lagoon & Marsala Wine Tasting tour. We were met in Trapani and transported by comfortable van to see the salt pans ,and then onto a boat for a tour of the lagoon. From there we went to Marsala,and the Pelligrino Marsala wine tasting. Alessio was very knowledgeable and engaging; his van was comfortable ,clean ,and cool. We enjoyed every aspect of the tour and would recommend it!

Wonderful afternoon with Alessio. Great salt tour and boat tour in Marsala and he was extremely knowledgeable. We had also a tour at Florio that was presented by someone from the winery. Very interesting on the history of the winery but that was very expeditious.

We had the best time with Alessio. He picked us up from the airport and immediately took us out for a wonderful and knowledgable tour of the salt pans outside Trapani and the oldest winery in Marsala. At the end, he dropped us at our hotel and had some wonderful restaurant recommendations in town as well. If you are visiting Trapani, definitely book a tour with Trapani Emotions! P.S. we thought two nights would be enough, but wish we stayed another day just to keep eating!

Alessio was very knowledge about the area, and really accommodating of our needs, especially my elderly mom. The weather was rough but the salt flats were fascinating and the Marsala wine tasting excellent!

Excursion was really great. Alessio showed and told us more than expected. As we had previously already visited salt fields, he slightly changed course and we had more time to walk around Marsala old town. Visiting lagoon Alessio told us facts, that were not mentioned by boat tour guide. Although it was 40+ outside, our van was always cooled and nice to travel. If you want to enjoy your tour, book it by Alessio, we really reccomend them to everyone. Ou, almost forgot winery - it was very nice and different from others visited before and wine was excellent!

A really incredible experience! We were able to tack on the salt pans as well. Highly recommend. The wine tasting was informative and delicious. The boat tour of Mothia (Phoenician ruins) was fascinating and our guide added to the experience immeasurably with some pictures of digital reconstructions of what it once looked like. The salt pans were fascinating, seeing the process and the Archimedes screws still in use, a design from thousands of years ago! Got to taste the salt too, which was fun. If you book this tour, all you need to do is ask to add the salt portion as well if you want to do that too (though it will be extra, about 30 USD per person... Worth it! Fascinating insights). Highly recommend all of it. We even got to forage for some wild garbanzos, yum!

Alessio was an amazing host. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, funny and laid back. Communication was excellent from the start of the booking until the taxi that he organised to the airport on our way home. We had a guided tour of the salt pans and then a 45 minute boat trip and finally a tour of a local Winery. He even went out of his way to show us some Pink Flamingos. Couldn't recommend this company and Alessio more A+++++

Informative and beautiful tour. I enjoyed learning more about what is involved in harvesting sea salt, it's minersl value for health as well as the beautiful scenery and boat ride through the lagoon. Our guide, Alessio, was knowledgeable and clearly interested in giving us an experience to remember with this tour. I took the tour in the morning. It was beautiful. I would love to take it at sunset!!! Maybe, next visit.

We had a very nice tour, with interesting aspects. We saw flamingo’s, we toured thru the lagune of mothia which was a spectacular experience with beautiful scenery. Definitely highlight of our trip! We had so full and exciting day with Alessio. It was obvious that he loves his job and stories he are telling. He was really friendly and flexible - to weather and our wishes. He changed a plan little bit as we really wanted to taste not just wine but also salt, it was amazing. Perfectly organized trip to Marsala for wine tasting and visit of the salt fields in front of Mothia. In between interesting and entertaining conversations with the guide Alessio. Very friendly, accommodating and speaks good English > only recommended 👍☺️ We even made an unscheduled stop in the old town of Marsala before the wine tasting and continued the tour a bit after finishing the planned 4h.

Just what you require from an organized tour. Alessio, the guide (if we can call it that, because he can be a nutritionist, a history teacher, a promoter, an entertainer and if you stayed a few more days he would become a friend) is a person in love with his work and territory and transmits it to anyone in what he does. Very lightly it was a day of history, culture and exploration of what you wanted to visit. Tour well organized in the manner and timing. Flew 5 pleasant hours.. In the area I would always rely on their tours!!!
