Tuk Tuk Ride, Ape Car

Ape vehicle was fun. Getting from church to palace, etc. made it easy. Our understanding was the guide spoke English. He did somewhat but utilized a translation app to share what he knew of things around the city of Palermo. It was challenging when we asked questions about something and needing to utilize the translation app ourselves. Francesco was very nice, but I believe we would have gotten more out of the Ape/Tuk Tuk tour if he was more fluent in English.

Great 1 hour journey around Palermo’s main sites with time to stop off at several points to view and take photos. We had commentary in English from very knowledgeable driver. Would absolutely recommend. We are on a cruise and they picked us up and dropped us back 5 mins from the port. It was very hot the day we visited and would not have covered the area on foot.

It was a once in a lifetime experience to discover Palermo through a “Lamborghini” ape tour. Francesco was an excellent guide that knows everyone in Palermo and all the best places to visit. He is the best! Money well spent!

The tuc tuc was not there at the port as requested. Another tuc tuc driver helped us and made contact. The tuc tuc eventually arrived. I don’t think the driver was very pleased

Blatant dishonesty and thievery!! I booked t he Tour Gold - 4 hours for 290 euros. Martino the driver picked us up at the hotel at 10.00am He took us to a number sites in Palermo, some of which we chose not to go into to visit.He recommended a good restaurant for lunch and waited whist we ate. Then at 1.50pm we decided to finish the tour and he dropped us off in the city centre At which point he demanded 480 euros, which I paid thinking it seemed very high, but maybe I had misread the quote When I returned to the Hotel I checked the booking to find that the quote was 290 euros. I had the hotel call the company and demand why I had been overcharged. The lame excuse was that we had customised the tour to suit ourselves so there was an extra cost. As a gesture they agreed to refund 100 euros which they dropped around to the hotel in cash. These people and their driver are not to be trusted

Francesco è molto simpatico! We got to see the streets of Palermo in a way our tired legs wouldn’t have been able to. Francesco was very kind and is truly ‘il papa di Palermo’ !!!

A rip off! Guide had very poor English…told us we’d paid for only one hour when we’d paid for three…got a lot more money and we got basically nothing…

Avoid Giovani who ripped us off . We originally agreed a price of 35 euros each for four of us . We drove 5 minutes to the street market where we walked up and down the market back to to pick up point . We were the driven another 5 minutes to the church where we were told we had a “special deal “ with reduced entrance . We were in the church for about 15 minutes when Giovani came to the exit to say we had taken a long time . When exiting the church we were told that we had to split into 2 tactics but not told why . The second driver eventually explained that the police were around and that Giovani was “breaking the rules” by having 4 people in the tuctuc. We stopped at the corner of the 4 statues and were told the time was up but we could e tend the time by paying a total of 100 euros each , we reluctantly agreed and were driven to the next stop , a small park with the giant fig tree where we had 5 minutes . We were then driven 5 minutes to the cathedral which was closed and told time was up ! At this point we were asked for 120 euros each ! We argued with Giovani but at this point several other tuctuc started to gather and as two of our party were female we ended up paying . Please avoid .

A fantastic tour of Palermo if you have small children who can’t walk the distance. There was a recent negative review and I believe you should ignore it. Francesco was great and used google translate to explain sites to us in English. This is a must do if you’d like a quick tour of all the key spots in Palermo. Thank you

Terrible ride, Don't waste your money on this tour unless you want to see back alleys in a "TapeCul" in the back alleys of Palermo. Picked up outside the Palermo port, by our Tapecul driver, Francesco. We had asked for a French-speaking driver when I asked him if he spoke French or English his answer was a little. I would say a few words in each language maximum The first stop was in the port, in front of the marina. The driver points to the port and says this is the port no comment. We then start cruising through the back alleys where he then points to a church, then a few more turns and points out to another church. The other back alleys and we stop at a church, he sends us inside to see the nice sculpted columns and walls of the church, but the driver always stays outside, with no comment. We then cross the old city center and the driver offers to leave us there so we could come back to the port by taxi, we declinde and then he drives us back to the port and says that's it all in 45 minutes. I tell him we paid for an hour tour and he tells me it's because we haven't visited the churches long enough. I PAID FOR A ONE-HOUR TOUR... Needless to say, he didn't get any tips. Very bad experience, at 93 $us, a total Ripoff.

We didi a super city tour with an Ape. Our driver was super friendly, professional and calm. Highly reccomended to pay a little xtra - and have a GOOD experience ! And NB! We speak Italian - so just saying.

Our tour guide was Vicenzo and the 1 hour ride was a great way to get to feel the smells and colors of the city. We got to see some most important points of the city which with a toddler can be difficult by foot. So a great solution for couples with small kids. Vicenzo let us hop out of the tuktuk and take a look at some churches, take a stroll in a garden which was quite nice. We enjoyed it very much, he was really friendly and for every spot we visited he always explained what we were seeing. All in all, a great experience! Thanks Vicenzo :)

Pro: The driver was on time Con: The ride was bumby AF, one door did not close correct, no seat belts (had a 5 y.o. with me) the driver spoke (almost) no english, he hardly said a word during the trip and then tried to CHEAT me into paying A LOT more than agreed. When looking at the website for this company, it DOES NOT compare to reality in the slightest. €80 for one hour is so not worth it, I dont even know quite where to start - I may come from a wealthy country, but I still know the value of money. I do not pay this amount for bad service, an absent driver and the finishing touch of the driver, trying to pressure me into paying even more. Absurdly overpriced, absurdly overrated, absurdly underwhelming. This left a bad mark on my holiday in Palermo. Never again!

We were hesitant to trust them, but then Doriuccio convinced us. We spent 250 euros under the table (in 2026 this is unacceptable), for an experience that the girls will certainly remember with a beautiful memory. As an adult, in hindsight, apart from the site of the Borsellino bombing, the spots were all easily reachable on foot. Since he does this for a living, it would have been nice to have received some slightly more detailed information compared to what we got. Overall, however, I judge the experience to be positive, also for the time that Doriuccio dedicated to us and for his kindness with the children.

We met Francesco by chance and it was our luck! A beautiful tour to discover Palermo and many things that we would have definitely missed without the expert, cheerful and friendly guide of Francesco. A recommended ride absolutely of which our children also went crazy. Not to be missed.

We started in 5... and we came back in 5, but with faces distorted with laughter! The tour in Ape through the streets of Palermo was an epic experience: we looked like a band of tourists unleashed on three wheels, including horns, selfies and “ooooh” at every corner! The guide was a myth: nice, prepared and with the joke always ready. We discovered corners of the city that not even Palermo people know... and all without ever getting off the Apecalessino (except to capture the group with 100 photos!). A burst of energy, culture, good humor and history, all in a carefree and cheerful atmosphere. If you are looking for an original experience to have with friends, this is THE choice. The idea itself is a great pity that the "guide" did not spend 1 word to describe what surrounded us .. his only thought was to greet all those who crossed .. bad experience in addition to the fact that I was not given any receipt of the 150 € spent ... true Vincenzo???

Literally amazing experience! Randomly found on Google, we were greeted by the kindness, sympathy and professionalism of a boy "one" who loves his city! We tasted and smelled Palermo in a tour that won us over: the street food, the beautiful old town, Ballarò (wow!) but thanks to Francesco we could visit corners of this wonderful city that we tourists do not know! I could continue but I leave now the curiosity to call him directly!!!

Welcome to my Lamborghini.. So our tour with Francesco started. This was an unforgettable experience. Of course Palermo is beautiful and Francesco takes you past all the sights, but anyone could. What made this tour unforgettable was Francesco himself. With his 'Lamborghini' he tears through the narrow streets meanwhile telling about the city. Highlight was meal at street food restaurant and the drive back to our garage.

See Palermo with a guide like Francesco is priceless! Thanks to his little bee we were able to see very characteristic alleys in addition to all the most important monuments, he accompanied us to a pastry shop where we ate irises and cannoli that alone were worth the trip! Excellent quality / price. Really recommended!

Fantastic experiences, we were in Palermo on a crissboard and they came to pick us up from the port! A very nice person, kind as ever, we were amche for more than 1 hour and left us where we wanted... I absolutely recommend to do the tour with them. I can't wait to come back ❤️

Bad experience, one that ruins a wonderful holiday! On the last day, around the city, we were offered this sightseeing tour by a certain Nino, which should last about 1 hour and 15 minutes. We were promised the sightseeing tour of the most significant places and also Mondello. The price started from 120 euros to 80. We were told that at the end of the route he would take us where we wanted, even at our hotel. The tour actually lasted less than 50 minutes, with various stops at the end of which we had to wait for the driver who was doing his business. We didn't even see Mondello through binoculars. Nino, since he was kind and helpful, has become grumpy and rude. He left us in front of the cathedral and our request to take us to the hotel answered that it was 200 meters.... We actually walked for a kilometer and 800 meters. A really bad experience... A real scam!!!

Recommended experience especially if you have children following. The children had a lot of fun exploring the city with the nice bee car. But also for adults it was an opportunity to see a real palermo sneaking into all the alleys of the center and receiving explanations and listening to anecdotes and curiosities about the hidden treasures of the city. Great value for money. Our Guide was also very kind and also did us photo shoot. To be repeated!
