Itinerary
The Church of the Holy Souls in Purgatory (Chiesa delle Anime Sante del Purgatorio) in Trapani, Sicily, is a Baroque-style church built in the 17th century. It is best known for housing the Mysteries of Trapani, a series of 18 wooden sculptures depicting the Passion of Christ, carried in procession on Good Friday.
The Cathedral of St. Lawrence (Cattedrale di San Lorenzo) is a historic church originally built in the 14th century and later remodeled in the Baroque style. Located in the heart of the city, the cathedral features an elegant façade with a mix of Baroque and Neoclassical elements. Inside, it houses valuable artworks, including paintings by the famous Sicilian artist Vito D’Anna.
The Porta Oscura and Clock Tower (Porta Oscura / Torre dell'Orologio) in Trapani, Sicily, is one of the city's oldest landmarks, dating back to the medieval era. Porta Oscura is the oldest surviving city gate, once part of the ancient fortifications. Above it stands the Clock Tower, which houses one of Europe's oldest astronomical clocks, dating from the 17th century. The clock’s intricate mechanism displays the lunar phases and zodiac signs. This historic site is a testament to Trapani’s rich past and architectural heritage.
The Church of St. Peter (Chiesa di San Pietro) is a historic church with origins dating back to the early Christian era, though its current structure reflects Baroque and Neoclassical influences.
The Milo Palace (Palazzo Milo), is a historic noble residence dating back to the 17th century. This elegant building showcases a blend of Baroque and Neoclassical architectural elements, with an impressive façade featuring ornate balconies and decorative details.
Beautiful and historic public space that once served as the city's main fish market. Built in the 19th century, the square features a neoclassical colonnade that adds elegance to its open design.
What a beautiful promenade! An ancient fortifications that once protected the city from attacks by sea. Originally built during the medieval period and later reinforced by the Spanish in the 16th century, they extend along the northern coastline, offering stunning views of the Mediterranean.
Small historic church with deep local religious significance. Though less known than other churches in the city, it reflects the rich spiritual heritage of Trapani.
The Civic Museum - Torre di Ligny is housed in a 17th-century coastal watchtower built by the Spaniards to defend the city from pirate attacks. Perched on a rocky promontory, the tower offers breathtaking sea views.

This was the first time that I did a Walking Tour with earbuds, but it was quite informative. I must say I didn’t get to the last stop as it was quite hot in Trapani. My only concern was had a bit of difficulty logging on initially and when one would tap the button for the directions to the next location, it seemed as though I had to start from the beginning from the text that the provider had sent me to follow the next site to see otherwise quite enjoyable and innovative.
Great way to see a city. The app has the maps and directions and also is full of information.
Unfortunately we walked on a Monday so all the churches etc were closed. But it was still a nice route through town and good to hear the stories behind each site.
Some information, better read than staccato delivery. We were not informed that everything is shut on a Monday.
It was a dark and stormy day and sailings to favignana had been cancelled. Bummer. So what's a guy to do when his plans are scuppered? Do a walking tour. Downloaded the tour and off I went. Very educational, saw things I wouldn't have known about and all done at my own pace. And all for a few euro. Fantastico!
Fine. Good balance content/price. No rush, good walk, main sites im city. Good sugestions on food. Recomend this for all.
V handy tour. Covered main sights. Good detail. The map is v good and information provided is good. I found it easy to use and would recommend.
Wow, what a great walking tour! Don't miss this great tour of the city! We really enjoyed learning about the history. The English was exceptional and the stories were very informative and interesting. Thank you. We will be using your great services again!
This was a great way to see the city and get some exercise while learning a lot. I truly enjoyed the experience. I got to explore a lot more of Trapani than I would have ever seen otherwise
The audio walking tour in Trapani exceeded my expectations. The audio system worked perfectly and was very easy to use, making the experience smooth from start to finish. One of the highlights was the integration with Google Maps — the link provided was incredibly convenient and helped guide the route effortlessly. The content itself was clear, engaging, and informative. I learned a great deal about Trapani’s rich history and culture, all presented in a way that was both accessible and insightful. The narration was professional and easy to follow, making it a pleasure to explore the city at my own pace. Overall, this audio tour is well worth the price. It’s a fantastic way to discover Trapani, especially for those who enjoy learning as they explore. Highly recommended!
Thank heavens for this walking guide! It took us on a really interesting walk through the streets of Trapani to places we would never have found without it. The links to Google maps was really helpful. If only every city offered something like this!
Excellent solution for having a guide available.
Effective, efficient, easy, valid product for arousing a desire for a visit and further study
Well-done tour.... thank goodness, however, that we had two cell phones because mine could not change language... too bad
Excellent experience, very easy to use
A nice experience around Trapani. The perfect guide, you won't get bored because it gives you the most important information.
Very practical and at the same time informative system (without excessive details reserved for experts/passionate about art history). Unfortunately, however, needing to use it on Monday for transportation needs, I found various "attractions" closed (particularly the churches) and one under restoration. Fortunately, they moved the statues of the "mysteries" to the nearby church of the Jesuit College, and I was able to appreciate them.
Unfortunately, we found it bad, it seems that the audio guide is in Italian but it IS not.You should just read, for us very useless. We're sorry, it should be clearer. Cordiality
At first a bit of a mess, but then great, I had a hard time situating myself, once there everything was sewing and singing, I recommend it, economic
