Tour Messina , Taormina And Isola Bella (Beach)

Our day with Sicily Tour by Coppola and our guide Salvatore was outstanding. Salvatore made us feel at home and took the time to explain the history of Taormina and La Isola Bella as well as many of the beautiful churches we were able to visit. He went out of his way to make us feel welcome. At the end of the tour, Coppola Tours invited us to a cafe to have a farewell granita and cannoli, ending a perfect day with a sweet treat. Highly recommend!!

If you are on a cruise ship, want flexibility around pick up and return to Taormina then this is for you. Salvo’s perfect English and careful driving glued the day together, he was waiting for us at Gate 5 as we got off and in around 30mins dropped off at the main gate of Taormina. After a couple of hours exploring we visited the beach for a quick relax and dip before heading back to Messina sites - all with the confident of an on time return. Great day packed with a variety of experiences. Not cheap but well worth the spend

What an awesome experience! Salvatore is a great guide. He took pride about giving us information about his home. Very knowledgeable and really good at telling us the history of the areas we visited. Would highly recommend!!

Tour guides gave great information while traveling to and from places but left you plenty of time on your own to explore. They were attentive to our needs and anticipated what those needs would be. They extremely friendly and you could imagine sharing a meal with them in other circumstances. Would highly highly recommend them .

We are a family of four with two children, aged 15 and 12. This was a private tour and provided lots of free time for shopping and food. The tour was a bit pricey however the guide was knowledgable and the service was top-notch. We enjoyed our swim at Isola Bella, something that everyone should experience when visiting Italy. The guy took us to beautiful viewpoint and took family photos.

Everything was great! Very professional. Definitely recommend.

Great tour with beautiful views!

First, our driver was exceptional. He had great contact with us in the days leading up the tour and he met us right at the port. We were extremely thankful for him and his kindness. We really enjoyed shopping and eating lunch in Taormina. The beach was beautiful and the water was clear and cool. However, you need water shoes as the rocks are hot and sharp on your feet. We enjoyed the granita at the end of the tour- go for the chocolate it is the best. We ended looking at a church in the town square that was beautiful. Our actual tour guide knew a lot of history but her English was hard to follow, that is the only reason for 4 stars. Great trip.

Hana and Alberto are a fabulous duo!! They showed us some beautiful sights, gave us a thorough history of the place, and got us to all the places safely. They even ended the tour with local treats...a cannoli and granita. I would highly recommend this tour and this team. We enjoyed our day with these two! Grazie!! We had a bit of a hiccup and had to cancel the tour. They could have kept our money and stopped responding, but instead they kept in touch and were able to accommodate the changes in our schedule. We ultimately made it to Taormina, which is now one of our favorite places we’ve ever visited!

This tour was professionally handled in a great manner. From pre trip communication to meeting at the port to the tour and drop off back at port, this was a great experience. Lilllo was early to pick us up ( we were early too as the pick up was right as we disembarked!). He shared historical, cultural and fun information as we went along the tour. Due to weather, the itinerary was adjusted and we visited unexpected places for a fun treat. He gave us choices and ample time to explore Taormina and Castlemola with a view of Isola Bella. He pointed out fun facts and locations about White Lotus and The Godfather. We chose not to go to the beach because of rain. Transportation was totally comfortable and, on the return to Messina, we were treated with REAL gelato and cannoli’s. The church there was spectacular inside. Our group of 7 had a great experience and much thanks to Lillo for taking us around and teaching us about this lovely place.

Unfortunately the day we arrived it was raining, however Silvia made our time the best. Great English speaking. She showed us the great places to go to. She told us all about the area. Even though the trip wasn’t what we had hoped for due to the rain, it was such a beautiful place to visit with amazing food. We would definitely come back and do this tour again!

Excellent tour. We rented a private bus for 8 and it was wonderful. They’ll take you where you want and operate on your schedule. To top it off they treated us to canoli and espresso.

We loved the city of Taormina and could have stayed there all day. The beach was beautiful but the shore was rocky and hard to walk on, but that is typical from what I understand. Our guide Sylvia and our driver Salvo could not have been better. They were patient and answered all of our questions and even helped us find our cell phone that we accidentally left behind. It was a great day!

What an experience! I can’t find any fault with our day. Our guide, Silvia, and our driver, Salvo, were wonderful. You only have a short time in Messina, so pick a perfect tour like this one!

It was such a wonderful day to have Nicola drive us and Bahar share information about the area as we drove to Taormina and spent time at the beach at Isola Bella. Nicola was an expert at getting us around and had cold water waiting for us after each stop. Bahar was very knowledgeable about the Sicilian history and so helpful in guiding us through Taormina. It was a lovely day. We would do it again!

This tour was a highlight of our 10 day Mediterranean cruise for sure. Taormina and Isola Bella were beautiful places that we enjoyed visiting very much. Our tour guide Oleksandra was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We learned a lot about the history and culture of Sicily during our time with her. We loved trying the granita and cannolis at the end of the tour in Messina. Every place we visited was lots of fun. We would recommend this tour to anyone.

Wonderful day spent with a wonderful driver and guide! We learned about Taormina, took memorable pictures with the stunning views as our background and then cooled off with a nice swim at the beach. We traveled with our 4 teenage boys and 2 elderly parents. The parents did not want to go to the beach so they were taken to a nearby restaurant where they said they had the best meal of their trip. Highly recommend this tour!!

We were picked up at time right at the cruise terminal exit by the owner, Nicola., joined by guide Silvia. We wanted the flexibility of a private tour, and we got it. We decided at the last minute we wanted to see Savoca( Godfather Bar Vitelli). We headed there straight away: wonderful hilltop town! Silvia helped us order cappuccinos and pastries. Off we went to Taormina….which absolutely lives up to the hype. Silvie stayed with us in town, and was most helpful and informative! She recommended a wonderful sandwich place for lunch. Unfortunately the 130 stairs to the Isola Beach were going to be a challenge for me with my broken foot in a boot… saw it from a picturesque overlook: guess I will have to go back! We headed back to Messina and stopped at the beautiful cathedral and clock tower before ending our tour tasting granitas and cannolis at a quiet bistro near the port. Highly recommend this tour !

We had the best day with Nicola and Silvia….. we are a family of 8, and our entire day was personalized to the specific sites and activities that we were most interested in! Perfect guides and spectacular tour! A MUST DO….HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

We were on a cruise and only had a few hours in Messina. We booked this tour last minute 2 days prior to arriving. Communication via whatsapp was great. They took us to Taormina which is a great town for shopping & restaurants. You can easily spend 2-3 hours of free time there. On the way back he took us to a quick stop to get more pictures of beautiful views and then to Isola Beach. We ate at an amazing restaurant - Ristorante de Giovanni - it was quiet and had beautiful view of Isola Beach. Isola Beach has big rocks and very busy (take water shoes). There is a private beach club there where you will spend $150 for 2 chairs and an umbrella for 2 people (if more than 2 - $300+). We could only get an umbrella for $10 which was fine because we only had an before heading back to the cruise port. They do have a restaurant at the beach. Be prepared to go down alot of steps and then back up for pickup up. This is not the kind of tour that will give you history facts. Overall a good day.

Clean air-conditioned Mercedes van made for an easy tour around Sicily! Silvi and Nichola were great! Very flexible with timing and quick with communication. They even dropped some of our party off at the beach and took my mother to a cafe so she could rest out of the sun.

This was a fantastic private Tour! This is the only way to travel and explore. Our driver Lillo, was exceptional! He drove us to all the views for pictures, gave us time to explore and shop around. And then recommend the most amazing lunch at the top of the mountain. Great experience and one my family will remember. Thank You

This was not a private tour. It felt very uncomfortable. I would not recommend this. I'm sure it would be better for me to provide more detail, but I am just too tired. I would not recommend this for the price. Taormina is a must see, but there are less expensive options where you won't feel like a burden and an afterthought.

Silvia and Nicola gave us a lovely and perfect day! Pre-arrival Silvia reached out and provided helpful information and details — excellent communication. Our greeting was on time, warm and friendly, we felt like family from the start. As per the itinerary we went first to Taormina — beautiful town, gardens, shops and atmosphere and views! Silvia provided recommendations and maps and just the right amount of information and historical context. Nicola safely and expertly navigated the awkward and tight spots driving. We then were free to explore and they met us promptly as planned. We spent the afternoon at gorgeous Isola Bella beach. It is a rocky and a little bit slippery-getting-into-the water beach, but we snorkelled from the beach and saw lots of fish. Beautiful views — you can’t believe you are there — amazing location. We ended the day back in Messina with a hilltop stop, and stop to see the famous clock tower and were treated to authentic Sicilian Cannolas and gelato — light, crisp, sweet and delicious! A wonderful day to remember with beautiful vistas and kind, friendly and professional hosts.

Wonderful day- met new friends! Wanted to see and learn a little about Sicily, and taste of the local foods. Great to be in a small group. Silvia was an amazing guide and helpful with getting around Taormina & Isola Bella. Water was cold but beautiful! Definitely would come back and go with Messina Tours by Coppola!

Sylvia and Nicola were an incredible pair of guides. They were super informative and very warm at the same time. We felt like part of their family as we explored so many beautiful places. The Bar of Fertility, while shocking for some Americans, was one of the most entertaining highlights!

We spent a wonderful day on a customized tour of Taormina, and Catania, Sicily with a very knowledgeable and friendly guide, Maria, and our excellent driver, Nichola. They listened to our interests and preferences, and took our mobility limitations into consideration's to provide a very easy to manage but exciting tour. We we able to view Mt. Etna, and stopped at several points along our route to Taormina for beautiful views and photo opportunities. Then we spent the day at the top of the most beautiful part of the town, where we enjoyed lunch from a balcony, high above the stunning sea and the view of the Taormina Beach and the Straights of Messina. We were given terrific information about the history, culture and points of interest throughout our tour. On the way back to our ship, they were able to fit in an additional stop at the city square in Catania that was an unexpected pleasure. We had so much fun chatting and learning about life in Sicily with Taria, whose English was excellent, and cannot thank the two of them enough for a delightful experience. We highly recommend using their services and Viator for helping us find the right service provider in Sicily.

We had so much fun! Coppola was great very kind and friendly!!! Gave us cold bottles of water, umbrellas for the beach 🏖️ great and spacious van, took us to all the places we wanted and at the end gave us yummy granita and cannoli🤗 Definitely recommended!

Our trip to Taormina was amazing. The driver was so nice and accommodating. The tour guide Yana was great. She was so friendly and knowledgeable. Taormina was beautiful and the beach was a great way to relax and cool off on a hot day. I couldn’t say enough good things about this day. This is definitely the way you should visit Taormina.
