The Original Ortigia Street Food And Market Tour (All-inclusive)

This is very easy review to write. This was the best food tour I've ever taken. Giuseppe was a fantastic tour guide. All the food choices were great. The amount of food was more than I could eat. Make sure you're hungry before the tour starts. I can't recommend this tour enough. When I booked with Streaty they had nothing but five star reviews. Now I know why.

So, one of the things my wife and I do almost everywhere we travel is a small group walking tour (preferably with local food). Our time with Giuseppe was the BEST food tour we have ever taken! He was beyond amazing. Of course the food wasn’t bad either. Not only did he take us around Ortigia, he personally knew the family-run businesses we visited. We could see he had a connection that went beyond a tourist transaction. We left the tour knowing much more about the culture and how the BnB street food represented that culture. He even helped us get a seat at one crowded spot the next day when we ran into him in the market.

Giuseppe was an incredible tour guide through the beautiful city of Ortigia! Extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and knowledgeable. He showed us hidden gems that we could have never found ourselves. Best Sicilian street food I’ve ever had. 10/10 experience!

My husband and I really enjoyed our tour with Giuseppe! We learned so much about Sicily, Siracusa, and Ortigia through him. We enjoyed the local market and visited local family owned businesses. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The food was amazing! There were so many options and all were delicious. We had a small group of five so we met lovely people. I highly recommend Giuseppe and have to say this was by far the best tour we’ve had!

We've enjoyed food tours in other citied but this Siracusa Ortigia evening tour rates the highest. The vendors were very unique and our guide Giuseppe introduced us to foods we would have never tried. He was very personable and had a great rapport with the vendors. As an added bonus, Guiseppe provided a great historical backdrop to this city. This was a highlight of our visit.

We had a wonderful food tour with Giuseppe around Ortigia. He was warm, friendly, fun and spoke excellent English. Giuseppe took us to truly authentic food experiences, some with families producing their specialties for three generations. One in particular was a family that made cheese, the first in Sicily to produce baked ricotta, a truly wonderful experience.

Superb tour covering some of the incredible history and culture of Ortigia and Sicily. The food itself was wonderful and strongly recommend this tour. Thank you Giuseppe for a great time, I intend rlfo revisit all of the places you took us to. Grazzi.

Alessandro was a great tour guide! He obviously loves his job and that shows. He provided a lot of great history along the tour and accommodated my vegetarian needs. There is authentic Palermo food so be prepared for some intestines and spleen if you do eat meat! Ended with a quaint gelato shop.

We had a fantastic afternoon with Giuseppe, who was extremely knowledgeable and informative on our afternoon street food tour. We got to try numerous foods and drink several glasses of wine over the 3 hours. By the end of the tour we were extremely full. I'd highly recommend booking your tour with Giuseppe!

We enjoyed this street food tour with Giuseppe Giammanco as our guide. He did an exceptional job of introducing us to a variety of food vendors and tastes of Ortigia. He provided us with interesting information on the food items and vendors, as well as history of the small town, and of Sicily. We could not have been more pleased. There were only two couples on the tour, so we had a very personalized tour. We left full, happy, and having a better knowledge of what foods we wanted to "continue" enjoying while in Ortigia.

We followed the street food tour with Giuseppe and it was simply amazing. Not only did he tell everything about the food and its origins and link to Sicily, he also told us about the people we met and the sights we saw. The best to start your stay at Syracuse/Ortigia.

Giuseppe was great, actually told us the local history and about the people and food itself. Honestly a very good activity and you will get to see some very nice food spots.

Super fun food tour with a nice guide who spoke passionately about the food and also about Ortega

If you are passing through Ortigia, you absolutely must take this food and wine tour. Our guide, Giuseppe, makes all the difference: a super easygoing, friendly guy who knows his land like few others. It is not the usual boring tourist tour where they take you to tourist spots. With Giuseppe, it was a true experience to be lived with someone who really knows the place. He accompanied us through the alleys and market stalls, letting us taste the real Sicily. The thing that struck us most was the authenticity of the products: everything very fresh, genuine, and of the highest quality, from the arancini to the seafood specialties, to the cannoli and the granita. Giuseppe had us chat directly with the local vendors and we felt part of the neighborhood life, not just passing visitors. In the end, we were very full and happy. If you are looking for something authentic and want to discover the real Ortigia, try to take the tour with Giuseppe. Highly recommended!
