The Godfather Movie Tour

Carmelo is an excellent guide. I learned a ton of facts I hadn’t known about The Godfather and he did a great job of putting everything in context with video clips from the movies. We had a great group of people too.

Peter was a wonderful guide on our journey through the Sicilian countryside. Taking us to 3 iconic locations used for filming the Godfather trilogy, he expertly navigated the winding roads while we enjoyed the scenery. He shared trivia on how the locations were used, how locals took part in creative ways, and how the locations have changed as a result of the notariety. We had a great time getting to know the other people in the group. We highly recommend this tour!

Wonderful tour.. not touristy at all. Lots of wonderful information and beautiful towns. Peter our guide was so informative and made the tour come alive.

As a huge fan of The Godfather movies, I had high expectations for this tour... and I have to say, it was worth of every penny! Our driver and guide Peter, was punctual and extremely knowledgeable and it was clear that he truly likes what he does. All three stops (Castello degli Schiavo, Forza d'Agro and Savoca) were well worth the visit and the lunch we enjoyed along the way was delicious. Although the tour lasted nearly nine hours(from Catania and back), the time flew by and both my wife and I were thoroughly pleased. I highly recommend it!

This is a beautiful tour. The small towns and locations of the films are well described and the film shots are explained as to where you are. The drive, the towns, the views are outstanding!! Our guide was Carmelo, and he was the BEST guide. Very informative, friendly and fun. Excellent!!! Even if you are not a Godfather film fan, the towns and scenery are fantastic!!! Towns are still in their 1950s era, and have not changed. Bar Vitelli is lovely!

Carmelo was a great guide. The tour was great. It was well worth it. We would have never found these places by ourselves.

Carmelo is excellent! I've been to many countries and taken multiple tours but he is hands down the best guide I've ever met. Very knowledgeable about the tour but ,in addition, went about and beyond to help us find distilled water for my husband's CPAP machine. By the end of the tour, he was like family.

A great tour with our guide Isabelle. Unfortunately we did opt to pay an extra EU$25 per person to visit the famous Villa which really should have been included in the tour given how famous it is in the movies.

Peter was the best guide. Detailed knowledge of every scene shot in every town. Presented in a humorous and entertaining way! Do not miss the visit to the house where Apollonia died in the car bomb.

A wonderfully friendly atmosphere from the very beginning. Our guide, Allesio, introduced us during the tour and listened with interest to our story. Alessio is incredibly knowledgeable and was full of interesting facts about the production of The Godfather. We managed to tour the estate (unfortunately, this isn't always possible), where we were greeted by the lovely owner. The estate itself was a fascinating attraction, from Sicily related items, to various materials from the filming period, to the opportunity to take photos on the balcony. In Savoca, thanks to the guide's contacts, we were able to get into the movie bar without staying in line. In Forza d'Agrò, a place was already reserved for us, where we could enjoy a delicious dinner in a delightful Sicilian atmosphere. From the beginning to the end of the tour (even while saying goodbye), we could feel the experience and positive emotions radiating from Allesio. If you're interested in a Godfather - themed tour, this is the best option for you.

Be punctual as it is a full on and thoroughly enjoyable day. There is a coffee break at Vito’s cafe and lunch stop. Our guide explained everything so well coupled to great insight as to what went on during filming.

Wonderful and full of information about the movies setup and cast. Alessio was so informative and made the trip so much fun.

Peter did a wonderful job on this tour. He made sure to show us movie clips from the movie at all the spots where the movie was filmed and was part of the tour. He was very well mannered,knowledgeable and took very good care of us . The visit to Castello de Schiavi and meeting the owner of the house who was only 28 when the Godfather 1 was filmed. A must see for all the fans of the movie when you are in Catania.

It was such a surreal and unforgettable experience touring the filming locations. I appreciated the convenience of the pick-up / drop-up off close to my hotel. Peter was a wonderful guide, very pleasant and friendly. He's very knowledgeable about the film and told us some interesting behind the scenes stories and anecdotes about the making of the film. The pace of the tour was relaxed and enjoyable. There was plenty of time to take it all in and take photos. I find Savoca and Forza d' Agro stunning and I immensely enjoyed the time at Castello degli Schiavi and meeting the Baron who was very welcoming. Thank you Peter and team for the wonderful and memorable experience! I highly recommend this tour and if you're a fan, you don't want to miss this!

It was as good as advertised and even better. Carmelo was and is the best tour guide. He taught me a few things about the Godfather, and I thought I knew it all! We met the owner of the mansion Michael hid out at in Sicily and he made the tour that much better. Barone was beyond welcoming, he made our day. I would strongly recommend the private tour. We saw everything as promised and got to go to Taormina for lunch as well. We got back to our boat perfectly on time! I can't recommend this tour enough. Ask for Carmelo! My god the tour was surreal, it took us sometime to unwind and get grounded. Our guide Peter was an absolute wonder. He literally took us into the life of Michael Corleone and we lived the movie. The tour was great, a dream come true but peter added so much value. So much passion for his job. We wish him well.

This is an excellent tour and the add on of Castillo degli Schiavi is well worth it. Carmelo, our guide is a gem !

We had a wonderful tour with Peter seeing both towns where The Godfather was filmed, as well as the private house in the countryside. It was a very special experience and a lovely day. Excellent tour, Peter was a fantastic guide, so knowledgeable, it was great that he showed us the movie clips which were relating to the different filming locations we were visiting. It was well worth the extra cost to go to the mansion, the Baron is such a character and so enthusiastic. I would certainly recommend this tour to any Godfather fan, but if even if you're not the scenery and places visited are so beautiful and well worth going to.

A really good day seeing the sites and history behind the movie

We had Carmelo as our guide and I thought he was superb. I loved the whole experience seeing all the filming locations and Carmelo was so knowledgeable and passionate. It was great watching little clips of the movies while at the locations. Superb day. Thank you Carmelo!

This tour is great for Godfather lovers but also great views for a significant other that might not love the movie as much. If you want to visit the church where the marriage took place it’s an extra 2 euros and to visit the mansion it was also an extra cost. You stop in Savoca where Bar Vitelli is located. It looks different from the movie because there’s all greenery outside it now. You can have a drink in there but prices were more than two times the surrounding locations. Our tour guide was very informative.

Loved this! Peter was an amazing guide and we really went everywhere which was appreciated. Definitely recommend this if you've seen the movies even just once.

We had Peter as our guide for the day and honestly what a lovely man and very knowledgeable! We were collected from our hotel in Giardini Naxos and went firstly to Castello degli schiavi which is well worth the extra €25! Then we headed to Forza de Agro and had lunch in a lovely little restaurant and finally finished the day off in Savoca I mean €16.50 for a bottle of beer in Bar Vitelli was a bit pricey but it’s one drink and you are most likely not going to be going again. It was a really enjoyable day specially for my husband who is a big Godfather fan, I couldn’t recommend this trip enough.

We had the most amazing day on the Godfather tour. Our driver, Peter, was fantastic and we can’t praise him and this trip enough. Worth every penny. A fully immersive Godfather experience, but also lovely to see and eat in other areas of Sicily. Also enjoyed the small group, just 6 of us tourists, and nice to spend the day with them too Thank you Peter, we can’t thank you enough 🙏 See you next year!

Great time, fun experience. Our driver Carmelo was great straight from pickup in Catania. He is very knowledgeable of the entire area on the ride out and pointing areas out to us. When we met up with another tour guide Peter, both Carmelo and Peter knew everything and anything about the towns we visited and the Godfather movie. Enjoyed all the sites visited and even our stop for a great lunch at a local pizza place in town.

Fantastic tour, a must for any Godfather fan, but to be honest it's worth the trip anyway just to see another side of Sicily. Our guide Peter was extremely knowledgeable and made the trip very relaxing.

Peter was our tour guide for this trip, and I can honestly say that the day couldn't have gone any better - he's an exceptional communicator, has a great foundation of knowledge on all that is associated with the Godfather trilogy, and is wonderfully personable/friendly. His passion really shines through. Pickup was arranged to be at our hotel in Giardini Naxos, which was very much welcomed given the personal requirements of my mom. Peter was also able to take us to a great restaurant where he could help us navigate choosing a suitable meal given the food requirements of my mom, to avoid gluten. The trip was incredibly well organised, allowing to us to see Forza d Agro, Savoca and Castello degli Schiavi. The former two were amazingly authentic villages, that even someone who is not into Godfather would benefit from seeing, for how picturesque and slow paced they are. The Castello is also incredibly beautiful and of course a staple for any godfather enthusiast. The baron is incredibly passionate, and quite the character! The whole trip was well worth the price, and I would heavily recommend going with Peter for the best experience - one that feels personal, authentic and filled with great information throughout! Loved the personal touch of him sharing some of his favourite Italian music on the return journey to our hotel! Thank you for the great trip!

An excellent tour one of the best that I’ve been on and one of the highlights was visiting Castello Delle Schiavi. This was where Apollonia was killed in the car and where Michael Corleone died outside the castle on a chair. Carmelo was our driver and guide for the day. He was excellent in informing us of certain scenes and areas that were used during the filming.

This tour was AMAZING! We all thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. Peter, our tour guide was fantastic. Highlight of the tour for us was visiting castello degli schiavi. Highly recommend.

Allessio provided us with a private Godfather tour on our trip to Sicily. The experience was great from start to finish, the tour was very informative and expertly carried out. There were traffic issues on the day but they did not affect our tour at all as with a few tweaks Alessio made sure we got the full experience. The cost of the tour was high, because I asked for a private tour for my Wife and I but the value was in the expert manner in which the tour was carried out. Alessio gave us every penny of the money paid with a detailed and enjoyable tour taking in all of the main points of the Godfather film locations. He is well respected by all locals in the areas we visited and this just added tonthe whole experience. We had extended time with our guide on the day due to traffic which I was impressed with and we weren't rushed at all in the day as we took it all in. His expertise on the subject matter is superb and as a big movie fan I even learnt things I never knew. This man is highly recommended and if you can stretch tona private tour it is well worth the extra money spent. Grazie Mille Allesio.

This tour was absolutely amazing and our guide Alessio could not have been better!!! He was extremely knowledgeable about the film, super friendly, and easy to talk to!!! He answered all of our questions with ease. We visited several locations and were in awe each place we went. Beautiful scenery and wonderful way to make the connections between scenes from the movie and on site locations. Highly recommend!!!

Carmelo the tour guide was absolutely brilliant. His knowledge of the film is incredible. He even tells you why they chose the locations and little tricks they used to shoot the scene. He introduced us to the Baron at the house and when we got to Bar Vitelli there was a table waiting for us. He even shows you a clip from the film at every location on his phone. I can't thank him enough for a fabulous day and if I could have I would have done it again the next day. Thank you Carmelo for making a Godfather fan a very happy man.

Our guide Alessis was very knowledgeable and he showed and told us some things about the Godfather. Movie that were unknown to me, and I thought I was an expert. He is truly an asset to your company. One of the BEST guides I’ve had. And I’ve been doing Tours for over 25 years.

Our guide Peter was AMAZING! Ask for Peter! He had a very good knowledge of the Godfather films and history. He had several movie scene clips he showed us at several points during the tour. The visit to the Castello degli Schiavi is a 18th-century Sicilian Baroque villa in Fiumefreddo di Sicilia where they filmed several scenes and is owner occupied by the 88year old Baron Platania who was 28 when the first movie was filmed. He charges 25euro cash per person for the tour and WELL WORTH IT!! We even had a picture with him!! We then visited the town where the house is that was supposed to be where Don Corleone grew up and where they held the Puppet Show! We stopped for lunch at a fabulous restaurant Antichi Muri that had delicious food at excellent prices and Peter treated us to a fresh Canolli😋 Francis Ford Coppola needed an old bicycle for a scene where a priest gives Diane Keaton a bouquet of flowers as he rides by and he just happened to have an old bike in his garage!! Then onto Bar Vitelli where the scene of making Appolonia’s father a deal he can’t refuse 🤣 To go into the bar and take pictures the prices are steep!! 7.50Euro for water 😳 We then drove back along the beaches and listened to lovely music!! We had a great group and Peter is the best tall Dude!! Highly recommended!!

Be prepared to walk up hills and in hot heat. It was a fun tour though. Drive to the towns was pretty and our driver guide was very nice & knew his stuff!
