We usually don’t do tours, but I’m so glad we did this one. It was the perfect mix of history, legends, and free time to explore. Taormina is just beautiful. Our guide Sonia was so helpful on finding a resturant and the perfect place to eat cannoli.

We had a wonderful day while in the port of Messina! Our host, Sonia provided us with a great overview of the area while driving to Taormina where we all enjoyed some shopping and a true Italian meal! Sonia made sure to ask about our interests for the day and adjusted the schedule to make sure we experienced all we wanted to. After finding out that I had a tree nut allergy, she sent me a text in Italian that I could show at any eatery to make sure I was able to accurately convey what I couldn’t eat. Our driver expertly maneuvered the narrow streets where we felt safe and comfortable. We enjoyed visiting several key sites in the city with Sonia expertly conveying their history and significance to the area. We ended the day with a delicious cannoli. Highly recommend this experience for any family with teens or young adult children (ours were 19 and 21) as there’s a little bit for everyone! We will fondly remember our time here!

We had a truly memorable day exploring Sicily on our tour, and our guide Sonia was absolutely wonderful and driver was super efficient. Sonia was welcoming, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. In Taormina, Sonia gave us helpful tips so we could make the most of our free time. We walked the charming streets of Corso Umberto, enjoyed incredible views from Piazza IX Aprile, and had a delicious granita and brioche at the famous Bam Bar — a real highlight! After Taormina, we stopped at a the Cathedral of Messina to see the incredible astronomical clock and fountain. We ended the tour with a perfect final stop — authentic Sicilian cannoli at a local pastry shop. Sonia was organized, upbeat, and passionate about sharing her culture and history. We're so glad we had her as our guide and would highly recommend this tour to others visiting Sicily!

Our group of five took this tour from our cruise ship in Messina. Our guides were Filippo and Serena, with Filippo driving while Serena talked about the sights we would be seeing and the background of the area. We meet at the terminal at 8:30 and returned to the ship by 4:30 for our 5 pm departure. Upon our arrival, we walked through an entrance to the walled city. We made plans to meet Serena at the other city gate and we were on our own. First we visited the Roman theater, which is still in operation and is available to see for a small fee. After that we took our time strolling through the beautiful streets of Taormina, shopping, and enjoying some gelato. We had a delicious lunch of pasta at a small restaurant outside the walled city, which Serena had recommended. Before leaving, Serena took us inside a small museum, explaining some of the artifacts there, and pointed out a couple other places we may have missed. When we returned to Messina we made three stops, one was to see the Messina Cathedral. Serena had attended a school nearby so she enjoyed telling our group about the cathedral with its intricately painted ceilings and the nearby bell tower. Our last stop was to taste the best cannoli you can imagine. One of our group has Italian heritage and had tasted many a cannoli. Even he thought this was the best ever. It was the perfect ending to a very special day. We thanked our hosts for the day, Serena and Filippo, and said our goodbyes at the ship terminal. This excursion fits well with a day at port. We had enough time to enjoy Taormina without feeling rushed and still have enough time for a few sights in Messina. I highly recommend this tour.

Our private tour of Savoca, Messina, Castelmola, and Taormina with Erika and Filippo was truly a wonderful experience! We saw such amazing sights and tasted excellent wine and cannolis. Erika gave us great insights to the history and culture and guided us to places we would never would find on our own. Filippo drove expertly through the narrow lanes and mountain curves. A wonderful way to see this part of Sicily!

Our guide Serena was wonderful and our driver Francesco was excellent, we spent the day seeing many beautiful sights of Taormina and Messina, including Isolabella. It was a wonderful day.

Our group of 9, ages 9-69, really enjoyed this tour. Our guide, Filipo, met us right at the port; it could not have been easier to find him! He was very personable with excellent English and a comfortable van. We enjoyed his information as we drove to Taormina and also enjoyed the free time to explore (and eat!) in Taormina on our own. And the cannoli! None of us were cannoli fans heading in to the tour but these were nothing like the ones we'd had back home-- so delicious! A wonderful way to explore the Messina area for the day.

This was one of the best tours of our vacation! Sonia was amazing! She told us all about the history and interesting information about everything we saw. Such a neat place to visit! I can't remember the driver's name but we felt very safe the whole time. Oh and the cannolis were amazing!!

Erika set the standard for tour guides! She truly loves her town which was demonstrated in her knowledge & story telling. Sharing local customs, traditions brought Taormina & Messina closer to my group of 11. Everything went smoothly. We enjoyed Erika! Highly recommend.

This tour was one of the highlights of our 12 day Celebrity cruise. Filippo and Erika picked us up at the port. We visited Messina, Castelmola and our very favorite Taormina. This was my daughter and daughter’s in laws first trip to Sicily and they have fell in love with the beauty of this place. Erika and Filippo went over and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful day. This is the second time I have used them when visiting Sicily. They are like visiting old friends.

The cannoli was scrumptious! Driver was personable and informative : ) He was quite accommodating and took some nice photos of our group of 8 ladies, ages 29 to 75!

This tour was wonderful thanks to Sonia, our tour guide and Massimilliano, our driver. They showed us the beauty of Isola Bella Island, let us roam Porta Catania di Taormina (quaint plazas with so many picturesque spots), recommended an authentic Italian restaurant for our lunch with yummy food, took us to see a view of our cruise ship in the Strait of Messina and to a cathedral, and ended with stuffing and eating yummy cannolis. Sonia was so friendly and knowledgeable. Taormina and Messina was beautiful! Highly recommend this excursion.

Absolutely the best tour ever. Erika and Massimo met us at the port entrance (in the rain!) and gave us the most incredible day! They had a planned schedule, but I let Erika know that we would love for them to take us wherever they thought was best. That’s the way to go. They drove us up the mountains to Taormina — but along the way, Erika gave us the legends/stories behind everything we were seeing. The joy she had while sharing her hometown with us was contagious. Massimo was such a careful and safe driver (which is definitely important along the narrow mountain roads) — both made sure every minute of our tour was enjoyable and fun. Erika took us to her favorite spots and treated us like friends/family visiting. She recommended a restaurant for lunch that overlooked Mt Etna that served ‘true’ Italian specialties. Delish!!! We stopped to take pictures looking out over the mountain/sea. We spent time in Taormina’s old town. At each stop, Erika pointed out key points of interest we should experience. This was definitely a day that will bring a smile whenever I think about it. If you have the chance, this is the way to go if you come in on a cruise! Oh, and the cannoli was incredible!

Sicily is gorgeous!!!! And this tour lets you see and experience its beauty. We had Sonia as our tour guide and Massimilliano as our driver. They were fabulous! There are so many photo opportunities. The meal we had was one of my favorites, and that restaurant was recommended by the tour company. The clock tower was incredible! The tour ended with us not only eating a delicious cannoli, but we got to make our own as well. (That could be because there was only two of us.) I highly recommend this tour and the tour company! The communication was top notch!

We did a private tour from the cruise ship dock with Sicily-Best-Tour.com. We had 6 adults and had a wonderful day with Erika. She is very knowledgeable and passionate about her home land...told many historical stories and just made the day special. Our tour started in Messina, then included Taormina and Castelmola. She found a great restaurant and then an even better bar for "cocktails" and a wonderful scenic view. It was a great day.....thank you Fillipo and Erika!

We had the best tour in Sicily with Erika and Filippo. The tour of Taormina and Castelmola with cannolo tasting in Messina. Then stops to some historical highlights of Messina centre was a great private tour. Erika was so delightful and made our day wonderful. She also planned a wonderful lunch that we enjoyed. Filippo was a great driver. Together they are a great team. We where on a 12 day cruise and this was one of our favorites! The Mississippi ladies.

We had a beautiful day in Messina, Taormina, Castelmola and many other stops. Filippo and Erika were amazing. They were waiting for us when we got off the cruise ship and took us everywhere we wanted to go, plus a few other places they thought we would enjoy. Filippo surprised us with the most delicious cannoli and pastries......it was such a treat! They both love their home so much and shared so many wonderful stories with us. We had a private tour from Messina featuring Taormina and Castelmola. A number of years in the making as we had booked this originally in 2020, then again 2021, and now finally we were able to use Filippo August 31, 2022. Outstanding guide, treated to fresh cannoli that were to die for. I appreciate Filippo being able to work with us and being flexible with last minute changes. You won't go wrong

What a great tour! Filippo was waiting for us as soon as we got off the ship. He took us to his van which was immaculate. Then he drove us to Taormina which took about 45 minutes. Along the way he told us about the history of Sicily. We stopped in Taormina for a great photo opportunity. Then he let us loose for about two hours to shop. We had a wonderful time. When we finished he was waiting for us and we began the ride back to Messina. We we got back to town we stopped for another photo op. Then we went into town and visited a Cathedral. Finally we stopped at a patisserie for some authentic cannolis. They were outstanding. I highly recommend this tour with Filippo.

Just returned from a day spent in Taormina and Messina centre. We arrived at the port of Messina with the MSC ship, here Filippo welcomed us with an 8-seater van. First positive note: very spacious and very comfortable van (having 3 small children and as many strollers this was not a given). Filippo was very kind and very punctual. First we made a quick stop in Isola Bella, then we visited Taormina which, also thanks to Filippo's instructions, we found truly extraordinary. Afterwards we quickly visited Messina center. To end our day we enjoyed some good Sicilian arancini and truly superlative cannoli. If I could give more stars to this service I would... everything was truly perfect! Thank you!!

I went on holiday to messina, and looking on tripvisor I found Sicily best tour, the truth is that I really liked the Service the car was very comfortable, the Service was very good, Filipino was very nice and took us, taormina and volcano etna specular places that we will never forget.
