Syracuse, Ortigia And Noto Walking Tour From Catania

Excellent timing for pickup and return, talented driver on narrow streets, very knowledgeable on all topics, great value for a day trip!

Long day — much traffic into and out of Catania. Driver is very knowledgeable of crazy city streets, 4 languages, volcanoes/craters, history, varied stops — tastings, churchs, ruins. We enjoyed Noto, Ortigia, & Siracusa, would visit each again at length. This tour was a good introduction.

A god tour to see Syracuse and Noto with lots packed into the day. Our guide Giuseppe was helpful and also gave us a good amount of time to explore including a great last stop of the Neapolis archeological park with its Greek theatre and Roman amphitheatre.

We had a great day. The drive was just the right amount between stops. Nando was excellent I would recommend this day trip.

Nando was exceptional and provided much history and useful information for our trip. Tour was well organized and great tips on food choices.

This tour gave us a good chance to explore these cities. Giusseppe was a great guide, with a lot of knowledge of the area. He communicated well while we were on our own walking through the cities. He offered to take photos of us and arranged for tastings of local food and drink. Doing all three cities in one day did mean that we did not have a lot of time in any one place to explore, so if you want more time in any one city, you should take that into account. Overall, a very good introduction to the cities.

We were fortunate to have an excellent tour guide like Nando and to have some respite from the heat and sun! We were picked up at our hotel, driven to -- and guided through -- Siracusa, Noto, and Ortigia (beautiful!) and had adequate time to see the highlights, plus time for a sit down lunch on the water in Ortigia. Would definitely recommend this tour for those who haven't seen the area and want to maximize the number of sights seen in a one-day outing.

This tour was very interesting and our guide Lory did everything she could to make the trip as good as possible. The only thing I thought that could be better was the short time in Noto but it is understandable in the whole day plan.

Our day exploring southeastern Sicily with Andrea was exceptional from start to finish. He picked us up at our accommodations and was a wealth of knowledge from start to finish. Andrea brought the deep, layered history of Syracuse to life, making the ancient ruins and the winding, sun-drenched streets of Ortygia feel vivid and accessible. His pacing was relaxed yet thorough, leaving plenty of time to soak in the coastal views, admire the piazza, and grab a quick bite without feeling rushed. Andrea was engaging, professional, and full of great local insight. It was the perfect introduction to the region, and we couldn't have asked for a better guide.

Our guide Nando from Etnatribe was fabulous despite Viator’s not accurate description of the tour or their communication of where we were meeting. Otherwise, we had a wonderful day with Nando. I tried to book directly with Etnatribe because my experience with Viator as a third-party has never really worked well for me and now I know I will never do it again. Book direct with Etnatribe for this tour and ask for Nando, and you won’t be disappointed.

Excellent trip. Aided by Salvo the guide who was cheerful, friendly and importantly full of knowledge about the places and happy to answer questions. The small party is much better and the transport was comfortable. If you want a day getting to know thos area you can't get better value for money.

We had a days tour with Salvatori who was brilliant! He remembered our names throughout the day (nice personal touch) and brought the places to life and was very knowledgeable and accommodating. He made the tour fun and we thought he was the most excellent! And perfect guide! The places were beautiful- we enjoyed this so much!

Good day out seeing 3 different areas. Noto was lovely but it has to be a quick trek round if you want to see all the churches. Guide Salvatore pointed out best ones to save some time. Then we headed to Ortiga the old town of Syracuse…. Lovely walk with guide then free time to explore. Finally the archeological site in Syracuse… giant ear was amazing and Greek theatre. Was really too hot to explore any further.

The tour guide didn't provide as much information as I wanted - just a few minute of explanation when we arrived at a site and then we had time to explore on our own. I ended up trying to listen in on other tour groups that provided additional information. Our guide also reacted surprisingly negatively to certain questions as if he didn't want his authority questioned, which wasn't what we intended by the questions we just wanted more information. For the price it was definitely a disappointment - I really regret not just figuring out public transit to the locations given that the value of the tour mostly just provided transportation and not guided explanation.

Lovely tour with Salvo! Very nice that we were picked up and dropped off at our hotel. Our group of 8 English speakers were very comfortable in the luxury van. Salvo is very knowledgeable and friendly. It was nice to have a review of each location and them Freedom to explore on our own.

I had a pleasure to use the Etna Tribe company for my excursions while in Catania. All very well planned and great organisation of all the logistics. The tour itself was great with Ortigia and Noto as the highlights with all the magnificent baroque architecture, simply stunning. Salvotore was our guide. He was very friendly and knowledgeable and very keen on answering all the questions which was appreciated.

The journey was a great experience with much of the credit going to our host Simone. He brought considerable knowledge and historical background to the areas we visited. While the drive was fairly long to get to our destinations, Simone’s ability to use the time to provide expectations and insight to our experience was invaluable and made the time pass relatively quickly. He added great vibe and energy to the adventure. It made our visiting each site that much more meaningful. The sites are worth visiting even if one had a less enthusiastic host as you learn and see what history brought the areas thousands of years ago.

Salvatore was an excellent guide. He has a great personality, was funny, entertaining and very knowledgeable. He taught us a lot about Sicilian history as well as Noto, Syracuse, and Ortigia. Fernando was great. Good pace and not rushed. Please realize in Noto and at Neapolis Archaeological Park you are given time to go at your own pace without a tour guide. That is not bad, just realize whether you prefer 100% tour guide next to you or like to explore yourself.

Cities visited are beautiful! We had wonderful weather and Salvatore our bilingual guide kept us all informed and on track for our busy day. He was very knowledgeable and outgoing. This tour is a smart way to see a lot of Sicily in a day.

Nando was a great guide! We were only a group of 6 and we had a very good time and would recommend this tour! Nando was patient and gave us a few tips and tricks around the cities we visited. I just wished we had more free time; 1h20m in each city was limit.

It was a good trip. Noto was ok. Archaeological park Syracuse was a bit of a letdown, but as an archaeologist my standards and expectations are probably a bit out of the ordinary. Salvatore was great. At Ortiga he knew a lot about history of Temple of Apollo and Minerva sites and how rhey developed through the ages. Very insightful and made the trip a better experience.

Salvatore was a great tour guide and storyteller. He was very patient and allowed us to explore on our own after giving us a tour of all the places at each stop.

The tour was amazing, educational and Simone made it a lot of fun too! The archeological sites are a must see and the town of Noto is simply stunning. We highly recommend this tour!
