Sunset Tour Of The Valley Of The Temples

It had just rained so it was a cloudy tour but you can’t control the weather! The tour guide and the tour was great and we really enjoyed it. They lit up one of the temples so that was really cool. Don’t miss it!

First of all, our guide Sabrina was masterful. With her words, she painted a picture of ancient life in the valley of Temples that is unforgettable. Her knowledge was most impressive and her passion for the history was infectious. I came away from this tour with a profound insight that was quite unexpected. I hope she is being paid handsomely, she certainly deserves it. I will add that I was surprised that an additional entrance fee to the park of €17 pp was required. Also, advanced notice for the amount of walking over uneven ground after dark was not given prior. It was 11,000 steps over a period of 2 hours, the last half hour was spent walking back and it was completely dark and took over 20 minutes! I hope most of the $ for this tour went to Sabrina because Viator added minimal value.

The temples at sunset are breathtaking! Sabrina was fantastic! One of the best tour guides we’ve encountered. She was extremely knowledgeable and presented in a way that was interesting and fun.

Our group of 4 adults and 3 children had Alessio as our guide for the sunset tour. He made sure that each one of us enjoyed the experience. Sunset was the perfect time to visit this stunning site and Alessio was the perfect person to show us around.

The tour was really interesting. Our guide Sabrina was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. She kindly answered all kinds of questions. The sunset tour was great - it was much cooler, there were no bus tours around, and not that many other people (early October). I think the tour really enhanced our enjoyment of the park. Highly recommend.

This was an excellent guided tour. Our guide Alessio was fantastic. Great English, very knowledgeable and passionate about the historical significance of the ruins. We would highly recommend Alessio as a guide.

I cannot recommend this tour highly enough, I would give it a six star out of five rating. Sunset is the best time to see the temples, specially when it gets dark and lights illuminate the temples. Alesso was the perfect guide: knowledgeable, charming and so in love with the incredible history of his city.

The tour and the tour guide were both very good. But there were two major issues that you need to be aware of: (1.) mush of the tour occurs after dark, and the paths are rocky, uneven ground with very poor lighting - the lights are in your face, not illuminating the path, making it easy to trip; (2.) our tour ran a few minutes late, and by the time we got to the parking lot all of the taxis were gone. We could not get a taxi or an Uber to come get us. Fortunately a passing driver stopped and offered us a ride, saving us from a two-mile uphill walk on dark roads. It was a harrowing adventure, and one to be avoided.

Sabrina was fabulous! Knowledgeable, entertaining and informative. Good pacing. Highly recommend!!

A fantastic tour walking through the Valley of the Temples as the sunset over Agrigento. Our guide Sabrina made the experience more special with her knowledge and engaging personality. She brought the history of the temples to life. Very much recommended.

The sunset tour was the best. Seeing the park at sunset and at night was a treat. Even better was our guide, Alessio. His personal insights enhanced our tour.

Ilaria gave a wonderful presentation of the Valley of the temples. Sunset was the perfect time to go, it was a 2 hour tour. Bring water, wear solid walking shoes.

I highly recommend this tour. The time of day made the experience more enjoyable. The setting sun made for some very pretty views. The lights at Concordia are spectacular. The best part of the tour was guide, Sabrina. Sabrina was incredibly knowledgeable with visual material to help make her point. My family and I received lesson in both classics and history from a very fun teacher.

Alessio was warm, welcoming, organised and passionate guide. The group was varied ages and kept all members engaged including the bright spark 10 year old.

Trip advisor never advised me via their app Viator that my tickets were sent to an old email they had on file. Was unable to attend the tour as Trip Advisor nor their app Viator showed my tickets on the app nor the payment they charged my card. Lesson learned not to trust Trip Advisor nor Viator.

Sunset is definitely the best time to go. Very knowledgeable tour guide that really helped bring it all to life for us. Stunning scenery - well worth a visit.

This site is spectacular! Not to be missed. One of the temples is incredibly week-preserved and rivals what I saw in Greece. Our guide was knowledgeable and kept the pace just right without overloading us with information. I was so thankful I chose the sunset tour as it made the heat more bearable (in late August). Once the sun set, the temples and ruins are well lit and the moon rise made for spectacular photo opportunities. Excellent experience!

We opted for the evening tour, which actually began at 6:00 pm, to escape the worst of the Sicilian summer heat. Our guide, Alessio, was outstanding. He was incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about the history of the site, bringing every story to life with his own insights and perspective. Rather than simply reciting dates and facts, he painted vivid pictures of what life was like, explaining how one historical event flowed into the next and shaped the world that followed. It was one of those tours where you walked away not just having seen the site, but truly understanding it.

Informal, relaxed, informative trip back in time Alessio gave us a flavour of times gone by, drawing the group together , easy to imagine what life would have been like,a wonderful joint experience.

Very cool experience and guide! Impressive amount of info and a funny approach from our guide! I forgot his name but he is from Agrigento, and lvied in Australia for a short time! Definetly wear sport shoes and bring more than 500ml of water pp during summer.

Sabrina was amazing. One of the more informative and enlightening historical tours that I’ve been on in a long time.

An enlightened look at these outstanding edifices from the Roman Empire . We thought it value for money to really understand the life that was going on in these temples and surrounding area . Assio our guide was so passionate and enthralling we lost all sense of time and found ourselves spending more time there than we had expected .

Our best tour and tour guide in Italy! He was so passionate about the history and his love for Sicily-he really drew everyone in. We have had lots of tours and while educated, other tours felt stale. Highly recommend this tour.

We booked this tour directly with Michael Gallo Sunset Tours. During our stay in Agrigento we had a car and were fortunate that the parking lot/meeting point was only a few minutes from our apartment. We paid 5 euros for parking and also had to pay for the entrance fee which was separate from the tour cost. Alessio, our guide explained what we would experience on the tour before we started with the small group. As others have said, everything about this tour was magical. Alessio was so deeply proud and passionate as he guided us through the grounds. He brought history to life and we were enthralled listening to him. The temples were glowing at this time in the early evening light and commanded reverence. This tour was one of our highlights during a two week trip to Sicily.
