Siracusa - Ortigia & Noto Tour

Awesome experience. Martino was an excellent driver and tour guide. He was very knowledgeable, funny, and kind. He also kept us well hydrated in the heat! Would highly recommend! Absolutely beautiful areas of Sicily rich in history.

Terrible tour. We travel extensively and this was one of the worst guides we’ve ever encountered. Why you say??? Well HE WAS NOT A GUIDE! He was simply a driver taking us to each location. A simple drop off and time to meet up again. No info, no detail, absolutely nothing. BUYER BEWARE! Do not get stuck hiring these people who have little to no experience with the locations and are simply acting as drivers. Very dissatisfied!

I was a little concerned before the tour because the day-of ended up being quite hot and we had our 5-month old baby. Martino was our driver and he made it a 10/10 experience. He dropped us off in areas where we could minimize too much time in the direct heat and was very mindful of helping us feel comfortable and have what we needed. He really went above and beyond. Outside of that, the tour was great. Martino was a great driver, the car was clean and he gave us great information at each stop so we knew what to look for. He also was personable and enjoyable to spend the day with while we were driving. This is a great tour if you’re looking for a knowledgeable driver who will give you great information and then you do the actual exploring on your own and meet him back when you’re ready for the next stop. A great way to see these beautiful cities!!

We had an excellent driver and tour guide, Martino. The town was so charming and the ancient ruins at the archeological park were amazing. It was super hot so the driver did his best to always keep us hydrated and cool.

If you are looking for a driver with minimal information this experience is for you. He would take us to major attractions and give us directions where to walk and stay with his car until we exited. Previous experiences with guides have been them accompanying us into the site/place with a lot of factual information and pointing out pertinent features. Ricardo was very pleasant and courteous. Overall a disappointing experience

Our driver for this adventure was Ricardo. He was wonderful! He picked us up on time at our hotel in a very clean black Mercedes van. We drove to Noto, Isola di Ortigia and Parco Archeologico della Neapolis in Syracusa. Along the way, Ricardo explained where we were going, the significance and history, information about local traditions and celebrations and so much more. By having a private driver, we could finish early if we wanted and go to the next site. If we wanted to spend extra time somewhere, that was fine. Ricardo spoke excellent English and was a very safe, conscientious driver. I highly recommend Ricardo and Taxi Catania NCC.

Riccardo was super great and explained us a lot about all of our stops! He waited us in every stop we did and gave us many recommendations to take the best of our tour.

Our driver Martino was simply the best. We were fortunate enough to only be two of us on our tour. Martino was so friendly. We exchanged stories and interesting facts, discussed movies that we all like, he even got his mother to give me her recipe for ricotta cheese! It was like we spent the day with a friend not just a tour guide!

Wow what an amazing day. Small groups are the best and our driver Martino made it even better. He was extremely professional and knowledgeable. His knowledge of the region was very informative. If you like to get a taste of different towns in a day this excursion is for you. The architecture of the region is beautiful. We visited a number of churches in the towns that gives you a nice snapshot of the area history. The time is not rushed and we feel we had time to see what we wanted. Views are amazing and this time of year the crowds are very manageable. Again a shout out to Martino who made it an amazing day. We highly recommend this tour.

We had an amazing day with Ricardo. He was much more than a driver, and explained many things during the entire tour. He also helped guide us through different areas to ensure we knew where we were going before he left us with time to explore. We particularly enjoyed the archaeological park. We did that first and it was really nice to see before the crowds descended.

While the driver was friendly he was not engaged in telling us what we were seeing or any information about the area unless specifically asked. Not being from here we were relying on our driver to be more engaged and informative

Our driver Martino arrived on time and the car was very comfortable. We had a very pleasant day checking out the sites. Martino was very helpful by explaining where to go and how long it may take to explore. We highly recommend this private tour.

Private driver with nice air conditioned vehicle. Ricardo was so helpful with tips and suggestions at each spot, he went above and beyond the “driver” duties. He walked us into each town and helped us buy tickets when needed. Throughout the drive we could Also ask questions about the towns and Sicily in general. Highly recommend!

Not what was advertised. Interesting sights but difficult to climb hills in cities. Guides communication skills need some improvement. We appreciated his efforts.

Giuseppe was our guide and he was very knowledgeable and very friendly. He explained what we were seeing and spoke good English. This is not a fully guided tour he drives you and gives you some history and you do some of your own exploring. This was a perfect tour for us and I would highly recommend.

Beware this is NOT a tour it is a cab ride to each town. You then will self guide yourself the rest of the way. That being said our DRIVER was great very professional. Along the ride he gave us some info. My wife and I enjoy wondering around towns and discovering what they have to offer. So this worked out for us. But I can't get past how much a ride costed us. $$$.

This was a great tour given by Giuseppe plus he was very knowledgeable of the area. I would recommend this tour especially if you’re just looking for something easy to do - not a lot of walking. Walking and time at each place will be up to you.

We had a wonderful day exploring Noto and Ortigia on a private tour from Catania. Our driver, Martino, was absolutely excellent—professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly accommodating. He went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience, sharing fascinating insights and adjusting the itinerary to suit our needs. Unfortunately, the archaeological park in Siracusa was closed due to its switch to the winter timetable, which was disappointing. However, Martino quickly adapted, bringing us to the San Giovanni catacombs instead—a fascinating and stop we enjoyed. The gorgeous weather was the cherry on top, allowing us to fully appreciate the stunning Baroque architecture of Noto and the charm of Ortigia’s streets and waterfront. A suggestion for fellow travelers: check the opening times of attractions, especially if traveling in the off-season.

Our experience on this tour was fantastic. MARTINO picked us up at our hotel at the appointed time and our journey began in Noto. MARTINO explained the history of Noto walked with us and pointed out places of interest explaining the architecture. He walked with us a little further to point out another church and then agreed to meet in an hour where he dropped us off. Our next stop was the archeological park in Siracusa. Again, MARTINO explained everything to us walked us to the entrance and made sure we knew where to purchase the tickets. The archaeological park is beautiful and it it is well planned with explanations in English. We spent under 2 hours walking the site and thoroughly enjoyed the beauty and serenity of the park. We met with MARTINO again and then he took us into Ortigia. He suggested sites and areas to have lunch. Ortigia is very pretty and we decided on a cafe across from the Cathedral. We ordered pizza which was delicious. If you decide to take this tour and you can request a driver and guide it should be MARTINO. He was excellent and made this tour very personal for us. He is professional, friendly , knowledgeable and a very safe driver. We enjoyed the entire day and feel so much of our wonderful experience was because of MARTINO.

Great day trip to Noto and Siracusa. Very informative and a great driver. Traffic was pretty heavy both going south and our return, but our driver did a great job. He had great knowledge about Noto and also about what to see in both Noto and the archaeological park in Siracusa - and also where to eat and see (definitely the Duomo Piazza) on the island of Ortygia. Highly recommended.

I would highly recommend this trip. The locations were spectacular and very interesting. The architecture was exceptional. The transport was very comfortable and clean, and we couldn’t have wished for a better driver in Martino, who was very friendly and informative and helped make for a very memorable occasion.

This is our 2nd private tour. Our tour guide Martino showed on time with nice and clean car. Martino is very polite, thoughtful, and helpful. We like him and we enjoyed the whole tour very much.

Our driver, Martino, was delightful with perfect English. He was punctual, patient and thoughtful. Notto is well worth a morning’s visit but the stars are Ortigia and Syracuse. We suggest a two day stay in Ortigia.

The beauty and charm of Ortigia and Noto were magnificent. Our private driver Martino was amazing! He was very helpful and accommodating. His knowledge of the area was great as it provided us with some background of the regions which helped us appreciate it a lot more. Would highly recommend this excursion.

The Architectural park was interesting in Siracusa. Late July is very hot. We tagged on a trip before a wedding in Palermo but I would avoid July and August.

The entire day was a joy!! Richard, our driver/guide was fabulous! His knowledge about all of the areas was amazing. He was right on time to pick us up and was right nearby if we needed him. His knowledge about all of Sicily has definitely got us wanting to return to experience more of this beautiful island. Richard is a delightful person to spend the day with and is an excellent driver!!

We had a very knowledgeable & friendly driver called Martino who pointed out both interesting & quirky facts. All 3 places on this tour were amazing but our favourite was the Baroque town of Noto

The places are Beautiful, but this is not a guided tour our driver did not even speak English. He simply drove us and said the name of the place , and told us “he wait here.”

Our driver Joseph was great. This was a self-guided tour and was taken at our pace. It was very pleasant.

If you come from cruise, don't book from this website. They will still charge you in full, even you inform them the cruise ship cancel the docking cause of the weather conditions. Sure they 24hrs hours cancellation policy. But the cruse docking can not be sure even it is went to the last minute. This time I got inform by the captain of the cruise ship in the evening, so I contact this operator right away to cancel the next day tour. They insisted that is in 24hrs can not cancel the tour. So they just got the easy money with no any service provided! I wrote here, hope you will not get into the same situation.
