Sicilian Food Tour And Wine Tasting In Ortigia In Syracuse

Our Sicilian food tour exceeded our expectations. Our guide Samuele was delightful, knowledgeable, and kind. He gave us many recommendations for our travel in Ortigia. We would highly recommend this tour.

We had a wonderful experience with Samuele for this tour! He was on-time (even a bit early which was much appreciated) at the meeting location and the tour group was small so we had good communication and conversation with him. The meeting location was easy to find with the directions provided by the agency. The food and wine were great! We stopped at 3 different locations and had several tastings at each - true and traditional Sicilian food with 3 great wine choices. Samuele was a very friendly and super knowledgeable guide! Since he's from Siracusa he has a great understanding of the history and events of the area. We would highly recommend this tour!

Samuele is a very knowledgeable guide, he took us to some interesting places and described the local, Sicilian foods, answered any questions we had. He had plenty of knowledge to share about other things our group might be interested in seeing in the Syracuse area during our stay.

Samuele was pleasant, patient and engaging. We were joined by one other couple and so the small group size made it easy to ask questions. We walked the market and stopped at 3 places. The food was very good and portions exceeded my appetite. I recommend this tour to anyone curious about Sicilian food.

Samuele was outstanding. Very friendly, informative, pleasantly animated, inclusive and patient. My only complaint is that he doesn't get to enjoy the food and drink with us; Working hours misfortune. I highly recommend the tour with Samuele. The food and drink were super delicious and more than we could consume.

This was such an amazing experience! Erika was hands down the best tour guide we could have asked for! So knowledgeable and the food was amazing! We will be asking for her the next time we come back to Siracusa.

Excellent tour with Vicenzo. Highly recommend! Between authentic meals, we walked through the alleys and piazzas of Ortigia. Which was also a great way to get familiar with the area. Our guide encouraged us to talk about our homes and travels, and we all left as friends.

This tour was fabulous. Our guide, Yolanda, was fun, energetic and knowledgeable . The foods and wine was simply outstanding. Go very, very hungry!

Ericka was a very friendly guide. She made us feel comfortable and shared an extensive breadth of knowledge with us. She knew recent and ancient history, and could answer all of our questions with ease. She knew many people we encountered and had a vast knowledge of the food and wines we tasted. The food and wine tour was excellent and our tour guide Sebastian was very friendly and knowledgeable. We had a wonderful time meandering through the narrow streets and pathway on Ortega Island. All of the food was delicious and very plentiful as was the wine. I entirely recommend this tour to anyone who loves to learn about Sicilian food and culture.

We had a wonderful time experiencing the history, culture and foods of Ortiz’s and Sicily. Our guide, Sebastian, was outstanding! He is very knowledgeable about all aspects of the tour and could not have been more accommodating to make the tour pleasurable and memorable for us. The food was a generous array of local dishes and was delicious! We could not eat it all at the time but certainly enjoyed it later. My daughter and I loved the food tour and highly recommend it. If you are fortunate enough to have Sebastian as your guide, you will not be disappointed. He was simply the best!!!

This is a walking tour of Ortygia with three stops for food. The first is antipasto in the town market, which was excellent. The second was rather repetitive and not as good. The final stop, for sweets, was also excellent. Our guide did a good job of pointing out sights along with the food.

It was only a friend and myself, and we were so fortunate to have Sebastiano as our guide. It could have just been sampling food and wine and chatting for a couple minutes about what the food and wine were all about. But Sebastiano was a wealth of knowledge about Sicily and Syracuse, and we had a simply fabulous time learning about the history, the culture, even the origin of streets and buildings. He was not only highly knowledgeable, but also extremely personable and accessible for all our questions and thoughts. The sampling of foods were very nice as were the wines. But it truly was walking the streets and learning about the history that made it a most memorable experience. Sebastiano is to be commended, and he truly made the entire tour enjoyable, and memorable.

We had the most wonderful afternoon being shown around Ortigia by Sebi, the perfect host. As well as explaining the cuisine & culture we heard about the lifestyle and history of this exceptional island. We had 3 stops in total with a lot of food & delicious local wines. If you are coming to Syracuse, and have a few free hours, it’s a huge treat to book this tour!!

We were looking forward to this experience as we booked it on-line from Canada - And it did not disappoint. The tour was well organized and Iolanda at the tour office in Syracuse was exceptionally helpful and friendly. The tour guide Pietro was equally engaged and full of information and very friendly. The tour took us through the market in Ortigya and the food stops that were organized gave us the opportunity of sampling great local food. This tour was a very enjoyable experience for us - we were a group of six, and everyone had a good time. We highly recommend this tour to anyone wishing for an authentic Sicilian experience of food and wine !!

We really enjoyed our experience tasting Sicilian Street Food. The tour exposed us to different dishes and tastes that we are anxious to try at home. Pietro was our guide. He was very knowledgeable and a very nice young man.

We had a great time on this food tour! Not only did we enjoy all the food we tasted but we loved getting to know Iolanda and learning more about life in Ortigia. She is a lovely person, very easy to talk with interesting answers to all of our questions. We found the street food tour to be a real treat!
