What a highlight for our trip. The cooking class was wonderful. Annalisa is a modern, intelligent, amusing and interesting Sicilian woman. You get the best cooking experience, but you also get the best experience in being with a genuine Sicilian woman who makes you feel welcome in her home. Our time together will not be forgotten.

Annalisa was a great tour guide and the cooking class was a blast! Made our own pasta and tiramisu which we ate for lunch. A little wine to go along with everything, livened the party.
Our cooking class with Annalisa exceeded our expectations! Annalisa is such a lovely person and a superb teacher and cook. She greeted us with her homemade limoncello in her beautiful home, and made us feel extremely comfortable. The menu was perfecto! We learned how to make pasta the healthy Sicilian way using only semolina wheat, finished with local fava beans that we peeled and cooked with onion, then mixed with sheep’s ricotta cheese. And if that was not enough, we also made stuffed calamari! Tremendous! It is Easter week so for dessert we learned how to make the traditional pascal lamb. So much fun to eat our meal with Annalisa and the local wine she serves with the meal went perfectly. We highly recommend this 5 star experience!!!
There is not so much to describe. She is doing this at her home. You get the best one authentically view into the sicily home kitchen. You will be provided through all steps necessary to prepare a real sicily meal. Annalisa is really very communicative and friendly person. So anytime I would do that again and again.
My pals and I had a blast in this cooking class in Annalisa’s charming apartment. She’s a charming host and great teacher
Great host and excellent cooking class, we learned, had fun and eat delicious. Worth the experience!
Annalisa is many wonderful things- a host, a cooking teacher, an entertainer and a wonderful person. She welcomed us outside her flat and gave us a short story about herself and Favara. Then she welcomed us into her home and it is a home. We had a relaxed atmosphere, learned how to prepare and then cooked pasta with an incredible pesto m, tiramisu and swordfish involtini. It was all delicious. The local wine was outstanding as well as her father’s olive oil and limoncello. Do it!
My adult daughter and I visited Sicily to retrace our roots. Taking this class was a lot more like visiting family. We were welcomed into her home like old friends. We stood around the kitchen counter cooking and talking like I would have done if I were visiting my family. Then we all sat down to dinner, we ate drank wine and laughed again so different then the typical tourist attraction. I felt like I belonged there. I highly recommend this experience.
Annalisa and Go Sicily are amazing. The tour and cooking class were one of the highlights of my trip in Sicily, and I had an amazing trip! Annalisa is so warm, friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. Her food is delicious! The time with her gave an authentic glimpse into an amazing culture. My mouth is watering just writing this review.
Annalisa is a lovely local which takes you through her village to her own house where we had our cooking class. We cooked some vegetarian dishes (which we asked before if possible) .The food was amazing and we had a great time. We did enjoy our couple of hours with her and would highly recommend this experience to everyone who wants to learn some delicious Sicilian dishes.
Annalisa was delightful. She met us in the marketplace, took us to a bakery for fresh bread, then onto her personal kitchen to make homemade pasta, a meat dish and an almond nougat dessert. Delicious! She is super friendly and made us feel warm and welcome. She was patient, great with hands on demonstrations and we felt like we were friends afterwards. Planning to bring a big family group next time with Annalisa! BRAVO! A+++
On our trip rhrough Sicily I definitively wanted to have a genuine cooking experience. And that's what I found with Annalisa. At first she showed me and my husband her beloved Favara, we had coffee and a tastfull canolo and after shopping bread and veggies at the local stores we went to her appartment to cook. We made ourselves - at request - a vegetarian lunch: homemade pasta and caponata, the Sicilian way. Annalisa showed herself an enthousiastic guide, host and cooking teacher. She is full of knowledge about the Sicilian kitchen and culture. We keep remembering the good food and her warmheartedness. Grazzi assai Annalisa :) Caroline & Jan, Holland
We met Annalisa through our hotel. Favara, with its unique art district is amazing. But spending the evening at Annalisa's beautiful home, learning to make some great Sicilian dishes while learning about Sicilian food and culture while enjoying local wine and cheeses is about as good as it gets.
Highly recommended experience. Both of us were not familiar with Cisilian cousine, but thanks to Annalisa, now we absolutely in love with it. The tour has started in the local market, where we chose local ingredients and were able to speak with the farmers. Annalisa gave us valuable insights regarding the products, as well as arranged some local products tasting. The next stop was 100 years old pastry shop where we learned canolli preparation process as well as filled our own canolli. After that we’ve landed by Annalisa’s house and cooked 3 courses, including pasta, second plate and a dessert. We have never thought that cooking these complex dishes could be so easy. Annalisa made us feel at home, and it’s been like seeing and cooking with and old friend. We are totally happy with an experience and would definitely do it again!
At 10 am we were welcomed by Annalisa, our heart-warming hostess for the next few hours, we had booked a Sicilian cooking workshop with her. In a homely environment, she has adapted her interior to the time when her “nonna” cooked, so back in time, great. Under the guidance of Annalisa, we made delicious pasta sauce, pasta, a stuffed fish (including raisins, pine nuts, garlic) and a delicious almond nougat. After the fun and educational cooking workshop, we enjoyed a delicious meal with the results of our cooking skills while enjoying a delicious wine and Annalisa's stories. This activity, which takes about 4 hours, is an absolute recommendation for travelers who have Favare within traveling distance, an unforgettable experience of Italian cuisine.
The service was wonderful, we enjoyed the essence of Sicilian food, learned original dishes and cooked together with the chef. A unique experience!!
Looking for authentic Sicilian cuisine, you should definitely visit Annalisa. She welcomed us the day before the Cooking Class with a message so you immediately feel a positive connection. The day itself you will get a full experience from your meeting to the departure. (Even Maserati drivers get them “Calmo” 😆) Describing Annalisa in one word is difficult: passionate, passionate, proud of Sicily and Sicilian cuisine, good chef,... Her smooth interested dealings make you feel like you are cooking with a good friend. Annalisa you're doing a great job. Good luck with realizing your dream!
Annalisa is an explosive bomb. Good communicator. Good cook. And its products like those it sponsors are excellent. Go there.
