Shared Tour By Minivan Or Car From Syracuse To Ragusa, Noto And Modica

This was a fantastic tour! Ragusa, Modica, and Noto are breathtaking, and the pre-trip background info helped us make the most of every site. The time spent in each city was perfectly balanced, and our driver, Claudio, was wonderful, professional, and attentive. Highly recommended!

This tour was a great experience if you are interested in touring all 3 cities in one day. Just an FYI this isn’t a guided tour but it didn’t bother us since we like going on our own pace. We were provided with audios to follow and a booklet with descriptions of the cities and things to see. We were given a hr and half to see each city and we believed it was enough time. I would def recommend to family and friends :)

Fantastic day out. We had a great time, it was all very straight forward and a great way to see the area in a day. The best part was our driver Luca, who is very professional and offers local insights.

Driver and itinerary was very good. Unfortunately the car was too small for 5 adults to travel all day long in. 3 adults had to sit squished together in the back seat. This is why I only gave this 3 stars as I was uncomfortable sitting squished together all day with someone I didn't know.

Good tour, driver was nice, drove well, just couldn't hear anything he said whilst in the back of the vehicle - we did tell him but nothing really changed. He was nice and friendly, I also had difficulties with his accent but this my issue not his

Luca was the best guide we had on our trip! He was very fun, personable and knowledgeable about the area. He had great recommendations for food, drinks and shopping. I highly recommend this trip to other travelers

We had a wonderful trip and Luca was a very good driver and host. We enjoyed each town and loved the garden in Ragusa.

We were on the tour to Ragusa Ibla, Modica and Noto. Ragusa Ibla and Noto are stunning. Our driver Luca was great, very knowledgeable and entertaining.

This was a wonderful tour. While it sounds like only a ride with drop off, our guide Luca went above and beyond to make it more of a tour than just that. He was informative along the drive, knowledgeable about the towns and a very safe driver. We had roughly 90 minutes in each town which was more than enough to explore, buy souvenirs, have a bite to eat. It was lovely seeing the other towns and experiencing the Italian life.

Luka was the best guide - very informative and passionate about Sicily and its history. Also a very safe driver! This was such a good way to experience the Baroque cities.

I was able to experience Ragusa, Modica and Noto with a small group in an air-conditioned van (nice & clean) and Luca gave us so many tidbits on how to best explore each place in the allotted time we had for an enriching experience. Luca was our driver and was a lot of fun and very passionate about his homeland and the area itself. It's great to get a little piece of the different towns. I would recommend the little train ride through Noto. It's a long day but worth it.

This tour met our needs perfectly. It goes to the three cities but with no guided tours. The driver though was very helpful and provided us with useful information.

Luca, our driver and guide, brought these beautiful Baroque cities to life with his love of these places and people. The Baroque architecture is amazing and the countryside drive is stunning. He is an excellent driver and is knowledgeable about the foods and experiences of each town. Luca helped us feel better about Sicily in Travel. I was not happy that I had booked and paid for this trip months in advance. A few days before, they changed the date and meeting place; I do not expect this to happen with a tour. That is an organizational issue that needs to be addressed. But make sure that you keep Luca. He is the reason I gave this a 5 star review. Take this tour and ask that Luca lead it. It was one of our best days in this beautiful island of Sicily.

I have just had the most AMAZING day thanks to Sicily in Travel Their care, communication, explanations, and dedication to offering the best service was OUTSTANDING! Luca our driver was friendly, fun, communicative, a font of knowledge and was very passionate about his Love for his country. Great way to explore on your own three unique villages without having to drive the very narrow roads. Luca was a knowledgeable and friendly guide.

Luca was an outstanding driver and guide for our tour. He was warm, enthusiastic, and incredibly helpful throughout the day. At each stop, he shared interesting history, pointed out the must-see sights, and recommended the best local spots to try regional specialties. His drop-off locations were always central and convenient, which made exploring each town easy and stress-free. We were initially concerned that 90 minutes in each location wouldn’t be enough time, but it actually worked out perfectly. As long as you follow the guidance and grab quick bites instead of sitting down for a full meal, there’s plenty of time to see the highlights and enjoy the atmosphere of each town. Highly recommend!

Exactly what it says on the tin. A comfy air con minivan with a good and pleasant driver to take us between towns sightseeing independently. Good value, driver couldn’t have been more helpful and easy pick up and drop off with enough time for the sites

Towns of Ragussa and Noto were particularly charming. Modica was a city of workers with good chocolate Our driver Gabriello spoke some English but not as much as we were hoping But he was nice and a very good driver

This activity was all self guided as expected from the description. The company provided some areas of interest for each location before hand. Due to time restrictions we appreciated being able to see 3 different locations in a short period of time.

Fantastic driver who helped my 88 year old mother. Knew the stops for photos. Gave clear information where sights were. Great day out.

Great tour, in 8 hours we made a visit in these historical and beautiful towns. When you don't have enough time to see them one by one, this is the perfect way to visit them. Silvio- the driver was also very nice . All the team from agency - Iolanda, Vincenzo and Alessandro, were very helpful and I must thank them for their efforts to give us the best days in holiday.

This was an amazing day trip! Just enough time in each of these quaint, little towns to enjoy their beautiful scenery. Make sure to visit the Sabadi chocolate shop in Modica.

The tour is a good option for getting a good idea of 3 baroque towns (Ragusa, Modica and Noto) without having to drive or take public transport (would not be possible in a day). You get one hour and a half in every town to explore on your own, along with some suggestions from the organizers. We also stopped for 5 mins in a viewpoint outside Modica which I really liked. The arrangement was very practical and the organizers very thoughtful. I usually have motion sickness problems in vehicles but not this time, since the driver was very careful and I got to sit on the front, so if you also suffer from this, this is your sign to book it :). I had a hard time picking just one place to visit of the 3 and this tour made it possible to see a bit of everything, which is good since each place is beautiful in a different way.

The self guided tour to Noto, Ragusa and Modica Is perfect for people who don't want to drive, like me. Everything went smoothly, the car is comfortable, the ride was safely, and you have plenty of time to go around each city. And drink a glass of wine without worry about driving back.

Efficient way to see these great hill towns outside of Syracusa. Granted, all of these gorgeous towns are worth much more than 90 minutes each but if you don’t have a car and limited time, this is the way to do it. Not a tour - you’re on your own in each town, which is just fine. Pleasant and good driver.

Thanks for organising a great tour to Ragusa, Modica and Noto. Good communication from Iolanda at Sicily in Travel. We were happy to be driven by Stefano who was very calm and steady. The baroque cities are fascinating and beautiful. Because of the heat, we took the tourist train in Modica, which is a great way to see the city in a short time. Commentary in 3 languages. After our brief visit to these stunning cities we will return for a longer visit one day. Excellent day in good company of other travellers. I recommend Sicily in Travel.

Tour of three cities (Noto, Ragusa, & Modica) just a drop off and on your own. As seniors (9) luckily, we saw a small hop on hop off train in each of the cities that would take us through the very hilly cities so that we could appreciate their beautful hills and valleys, otherwise we would not have been able to see as much. Viators description or the driver should have made a suggestion to us that there was a hop on hop off train. If we didn't see the train, we would have had a very limited excursion.

The driver was helpful, respectful and punctual! The Mercedes car made for smooth travelling from Siracusa to Noto, Modica and Ragusa. Three totally amazing places. Good value! Highly recommend this company to other travellers! Very helpful indeed!

I really enjoyed this tour! The Baroque route is both fascinating and full of charm — the views are absolutely stunning, and the taste of hot Modica chocolate is truly unforgettable. The guide was punctual, polite, and very professional. The transportation was also comfortable and well-organized. I highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting the area.

An excellent way to get around 3 villages. Having at least one and a half hours at each location was great. Our driver was very friendly to and helpful

Nice ride along the countryside. Would of liked a little information of each town we visited. Enough time was allowed in each town.

Noto was very nice. It’s a shame that the tour spent the least amount of time there and the most time in Modica which has very little to offer.

Nice day trip, beautiful towns, love Modica chocolates. Noto was our favorite city, architecture, flat streets. Comfortable a/c van, friendly driver, not too chatty, only 8 people in our full group.

The driver was excellent and told us where to go and the sights to see. Had a great bunch of people on the trip. Stopped to get Modica chocolate and saw a beautiful church right by the chocolate shop. Ragusa was good and we had time to do the little train around Ragusa. Noto was the last stop and we just wandered with gelato. A great day.

Don't waste your money on this "tour." It was really a drop you off van ride to each city. I didn't expect a guide, however, it would have been nice to have some information or recommendations on where to go, what to see, or been given a map with highlights before being dumped off for an hour and a half in each city. Find something else to spend your money on. We just finished up a Mt Etna and winery tour that was less money and hands down above and beyond expectations.

We were safely driven in the minivan by a charming young driver. The towns have beautiful baroque architecture and you have enough time to explore on your own. Ragusa was very special. The high viewpoint to see the church and city of Modica was amazing though we only really had time for lunch there. Noto was interesting but the rain limited our visit a little. The itinerary and timings works well - take your own guidebook to make the most of your time. Good value as it’s not easy to get there by public transport. Would recommend 👍

We loved visiting the 3 towns included in this tour. They were beautiful. The drive thru the country was very enjoyable as well. The amount of time allowed in each location was perfect. The driver was a very careful driver and was always right where he was supposed to meet us . We were however a bit surprised that 2 couples were placed in quite a small car for a trip of 8 hours , when the description said minivan tour. Luckily, we were average sized people, the women actually on the petite side. We had to get into the back seat 1 at a time, buckle seat belt and then the next person etc. A larger vehicle would have been much more comfortable. We were able to take a train tour in Modica and learned a lot of history about that town. Our driver surprised us at the end of the tour with delicious cookies for nice treat.

The driver was very safe. We saw all the sights we wanted to see at a great price. The group were fantastic.

The tour was interesting and Francesca our driver was fine, although he did not speak English, so we could not ask him any questions about where we were going. He just dropped us off in each of the cities ( these really are not villages except maybe for the old part of Ragusa)) and told us when he would pick us up. We did not get any maps detailing where we would be; maps would have been very helpful! This was the most economical tour, which is why we took it. It took us out of Ortigia and we saw something of the interior, which would not have happened otherwise. One word of caution: we were there first week of September and the heat was unbearable! So much so that it took much of the fun out of the visit - it was just not possible to climb all those hundreds of steps, to explore these places. It wasn’t just us - most people, especially in Modica and Noto (Ragusa was more manageable) stayed at the lower levels of these two towns, rather than try to climb hundreds of steps on their own. If you have time (do it as soon as you get there) in Modica especially, take the little “train” that will take you around, all the way to the top.

Stopping for a Birds Eye view of Modica was incredible. Seeing all three towns was nice. The trip was a bit rushed because we went to three places. Nice to have a driver but would probably rent a car next time.

Our driver Francesco was very professional and great driver. There were 3 of us on the tour so we were able to negotiate time spent in each of Noto, Monica and Ragusa within the time allowed for the tour. I think the fact that it was more or less a do it yourself tour was good as you could decide how to best use your time

Great trip. Francesco was very accommodating about spending a little more time in Ragusa and having lunch there instead of Modica. Communication was fabulous with 3rd party in Syracusa, Sicilian Tours. Can highly recommend. Used Viatours in Venice last year. It also worked really well.

Should have been more time in Ragusa and Modica, and less time in Noto. It was fine but not more than okay.

This was a great experience. Our driver Francesco was pleasant and drove us carefully to each town. The car was very comfortable. I didn’t feel rushed and was able to take my time and explore each town on my own. The tour operators were communicative in good time about any changes even before the tour. An overall good experience and I definitely recommend it!

The tour was excellent! Ilonda, the owner of the company was so friendly, helpful and enthusiastic. She provided maps for each location and good suggestions. Francesco, the driver was friendly, capable & reliable. He dropped us off and picked us up at convenient places always on time. The vehicle was lovely, new and spotless! Ragusa & Modica are inconvenient to reach by public transportation so this tour offers a great alternate way to visit them if you don’t have a car . If you don’t require a guide, I highly recommend this tour.
