We had an excellent experience hiking around Mount Etna and swimming in the canyon stream. Our guide Caramello was cheerful and informative despite some rain today. It was colder on top of the mountain than expected but they provided jackets and shoes for those of us unprepared. Would highly recommend!

We had a thoroughly awful experience with Sicily Active. Took my money, refused to refund, accused us of not turning up, resorted to personal insults. Basically then threatened that if I leave a bad review they will expose me as an odd person - please see screen shots and my past review history. My reviews are balanced. I reserved places for my husband and son via the number on their website back in March for a treat during our July holiday. Day before I hadn’t heard from them so chased via WhatsApp to their number, where we had communicated to book. They sent a payment link for the 90 euros and a video of the road turning to go down. Apparently they also sent gps location which we didn’t receive. The website had an address so we thought it was all good. My husband/son arrived at the location at 10am for 11am session, drove around and couldn’t find it. Asked around, no one at the gorge had heard of them. Rang the two website numbers repeatedly. No answer and not until almost 11am did anyone get back to them. They then found it quickly but the group had just left and there was nothing on the system for our booking. Finally the girl did tie us to a booking using the invoice details but it was too late. We were offered a time late afternoon but we had to check out and move on. We politely explained we’d done everything in our power to be there and felt we should have a refund. The girl said she’d see what she could do, so they left. Given we weren’t given the location up front, despite booking three months in advance, and our phone calls were ignored with no support, I think it is unkind and unfair of this company to keep my money. I object even more to the personal insults and threats. Very unprofessional. I do not recommend this company.

A great experience. Jumps from up to 5m, river flows. Brought by a great guide. The starting site also nice: Shower, toilets and all material needed. A really fun family experience.

We were four adults and one teenager! It was really so fun! Our guide was fantastic and afterwards we got photo and a film from the day! Fantastic experience! We can really recommend this activity!

BODY RAFTING DOWN THE ALCANTARA GORGES PLUS JUMPS The trip was spectacular. You start off with a jump into the cold water (you have a wetsuit helmut and water shoes)... it's refreshing and stunning. If you are nervous about jumping you can skip the jumps and only body surf down the river. The guides are incredible and make sure you are safe at all times. It was an unforgettable experience and definitely the highlight of our trip to Sicily. FYI It took 40min to drive back to Taormina - make sure you DON'T go through the barely one lane mountain pass! Otherwise it's an hour and a half through very narrow mountains roads!

Great fun and I don’t like heights! Staff were friendly and helpful and our guide Salvo really looked after us and we appreciated him forwarding photos and videos. Would definitely do again!

I must say that I was very puzzled in doing this tour because I would not call myself an athletics! Never put a wetsuit in my life .. It was a really intense and meaningful experience! Immersive natural landscape, "fresh" water, a beautiful territory .. But what made this experience even more extraordinary and crossing? Our guide, Vito.. Exceptional, acrobatic, encouraging, a motivator by nature! His presence was a certainty, able to make people enjoy the breath of nature and at the same time to overcome their limits and the prevailing fears in the face of a challenge of height and terror! It is not at all trivial to find in j to guide, an activator of challenging choices .. Sincerely my Thank you and zvi recommend to do this experience that is certainly physical but above all it is a journey inside yourself! Irene

Great morning with Vito our guide. Professional and cheerful supervision. We enjoyed being a small group of 7 people which made it possible to not wait long to perform the jumps and descents. Beautiful discovery in a beautiful setting

Very beautiful, experience in a beautiful environment. There were enough instructors to guide us and help us if we had difficulties but the group was really too big 22 participants, so it took a long time to get through the gorges and we didn’t do enough .jumps to our liking.

An event I can absolutely recommend. Good organization. You get precise information in advance via WhatsApp. Parking free of charge at the meeting point. Short ride by minibus, then short walk to the entry point away from the tourist hustle and bustle. Then the adventure begins. 5 jumps in Gumpen, water slide backwards, drift in the water,.... surrounded by great scenery. I thought it was really great. You can avoid the jumps, but I don't want to miss the experience. The organizers and guides are super friendly. Everything's fine. You just need to know that the event does not take place at the official tourist entrance but a little higher up. I even liked it, we were the only group far and wide and had the river to ourselves. You wouldn't find this job on your own. Afterwards we went to the official entrance of the gorge and had an extensive super day. Can only recommend 👍😃

Die Guides waren super freundlich und gerade die Sprünge waren ein schöner Adrenalinkick. Waren aber nicht verpflichtend. Für groß und klein ein riesen Spaß.
