Quad Tour Excursion From The Castle To The Sea

This was a highlight of our trip to Sicily. Exclusive tour of a castle ruins, a trip down to the sea, running with wild horses and cruising through orange groves. Angela was a great tour guide taking time to tell us the history of the region and making us feel comfortable along the way even if you have no experience riding a quad. Highly recommended!

My wife and I booked this tour because we read the reviews previously posted. What we didn’t realize was how much better it actually ended up being overall and that Vincenzo isn’t just passionate about what he offers as the tour but also cares about people as well. On our way to the tour we had a flat tire so I put on the spare. We drove an hour and a half from Licata to get to the meeting place. We arrived at the meeting place and explained what had happened with our tire. Vincenzo and his wife Angela jumped into action for us and found someone that would fix our tire while we were on tour. Vincenzo had us follow him to the tire place where we left our car and jumped in his car to go to the ATV’s. From the moment that we got on the ATVs, we felt very safe and we knew we were in for an amazing evening. Our experience was so much more than we ever imagined. The castle, the beautiful mountainous views, the Oceanside drive, the horses and cows, the streams and the amazing sunset over the ocean and mountains was absolutely incredible. It was all so awesome to take in and to see the more intimate side of Sicily, a lot of visitors don’t get to experience. If we could give this 10 stars we would. We would’ve driven from anywhere in Sicily to have this experience with Vincenzo. Thank you, Vincenzo and Angela for an unforgettable experience and for your amazing hospitality!

This was one of the best experiences traveling we have had as a family. Angela and Vincenzo were passionate about their business and about making sure we had a safe and good time. Great tour! You will have an opportunity to visit ruines of the castle, then drive thru picturesqe gardens and reach the beach! Very nice people - husband and wife. I would recommend!

What started as a booking mistake turned into one of the most unforgettable days of my 4-week trip through Italy. I accidentally booked the “Castle to Sea” quad tour not realizing it was in Ribera, on the opposite coast from where I was staying in Palermo. I reached out to cancel, and Vincenzo reassured me that if I made the 2-hour trip, they’d pick me up from the bus stop (more like a post in the middle of nowhere!) and promised I’d have fun. I took the chance—and I’m so glad I did. Angela picked me up with a warm smile and brought me to the shop to meet the others. Out of the three couples who had signed up, only one couple showed. It ended up being just me (an English speaker), a German couple (the wife spoke some Italian), and Vincenzo and Angela, who only speak Italian. Here’s the amazing part: Vincenzo used a translator gadget from Amazon so we could communicate all day. He’d speak into it and it would translate aloud into English, and I’d speak into it to translate into Italian. It worked beautifully—and added to the laughs and fun. Language wasn’t a barrier at all. The tour itself was incredible. From the ancient castle to the stunning coastal ride, every part of the journey was breathtaking. Vincenzo and Angela were incredibly knowledgeable, safety-conscious, and radiated joy. It was like riding with friends who love their land and want you to fall in love with it too. Their energy was infectious. To catch the 7 PM bus back to Palermo, I would have had to leave the tour in the middle—but at that point, it was no longer an option. I wasn’t going to miss a second. I chose to stay, and Vincenzo kindly arranged a room for me at a friend’s nearby hotel. Angela even took me to pick up pajamas, clothes for the next day, and toiletries. We ended the night with dinner at a little local restaurant attached to the hotel, and I swear it was the best pizza I’ve had in my life. We laughed, shared stories, and by the end of it all, I didn’t just have a great tour—I gained a Sicilian family. We still keep in touch. If you're looking for an experience that's authentic, adventurous, full of heart, and beyond any guidebook recommendation—this is it. Even if you're not fluent in Italian, don’t worry—what matters most translates perfectly.

What a wonderful tour and a great experience, it is a must do! The scenery was spectacular. We are from Australia and travelled down from Rome, this was one of our must do tour's. Very well organised, very professional, extremely helpful and very welcoming owners. Had a great time, lot's of fun.

I always love to go on a Quad tour when on holiday. I went with my son on the Castle and Sea tour, and the experience was amazing. This is the best Quad tour I've had, and I went to quite a few and in different countries. We went for around 3 hours, visiting a medieval castle, after on the fields and finally bordering the sea. We had some stops and all of them were great (Castle with history and background told by Vincenzo, animal stops (Beautiful cow, and horses)). The Quad will also get some proper usage as most of the tour is off road and only a Quad like vehicle can navigate it. Which is exactly what we were looking for. We got to know also that the area we were visiting was once under the sea (maybe million of years ago, as evidence from marine fossils we saw). My son told me the Quad tour was the highlight of his holiday. This says it all, Highly recommended!

Our morning started with a drive to Ribera, where we met our guides (also the business owners) for our 3-hour quad/ATV tour. We travelled to the 12th century castle of Poggio di Diana. There, we were told about a secret passageway that was discovered not long ago and the guide explained all about the homing pigeons used for communication centuries ago. Then, onto our ride over mountain tops, along cliffs, through valleys filled with olive and orange trees and along the seaside. Best of all, was having wild horses run beside us and then stop to have us feed them. The guides were passionate about what they do and took lots of pictures and videos that they then sent everyone on the tour. We both highly recommend this excursion if you’re in the area. Would have given it 10 stars if possible!

We did it from Rivera to the sea, with stops in the Castle and some other places. Everything was great, The tour, the history of the places, the stops, timming, speed everything was far beyond our expectations.

This has been the most amazing experience we’ve had during our 1 week stay in Sicily. Vincenzo and his wife are amazing people with a clear love for what they do on a daily basis. I would recommend this to anyone who’s looking to explore the land from a unique perspective. The tour is long enough for you to really get comfortable and enjoy everything from the hills to the most sunning beach we’ve ever seen. If you have time to do only thing while you’re in Sicily, make sure is this one. 10/10!!

Amazing excursion, we had over 2 hours on the quads and went from Ribera all through the countryside to the castle ruins, on to the beach and through the farm lands. The lady and gentleman that run this were very experienced, ensured we were safe and had lots of fun, they also explained all about the sights we went too and provided all the heat we needed including water. They also took pictures for us and sent free of charge. Amazing company and one of the best tours we have done. Thank you!!!

An awesome experience and will be one of the highlights of our honeymoon! We had a great time touring Italian countryside, back roads, and mountains by the ocean. The guides were very friendly and the bikes we used performed very well. Expect stunning views and an exciting tour of places you normally would not see on foot or car. You should expect to start your day driving to their office to sign forms then follow them for quick drive to park car and pick up your ATV around 5-10 mins away.

A very enjoyable day. Were greeted by Vincenzo and Angela - they were very welcoming. The day was amazing - they took us to the castle and explained many of its features. Then went off-roading where we saw wild horses and the most amazing view of the sea. Went down to the beach and had a nibble and then drove back. An amazing experience which we would gladly re do when we are there.

A compelling experience, done as a couple with my wife, made even more pleasant by the experience of Vincenzo and Angela, true enthusiasts who know how to organize and manage the group and convey a sense of security. With their friendly assistance, never invasive, they made us feel among friends. The tour was interesting for the route through nature, with views to savor and for the visit to the Poggiodiana castle. An experience we recommend trying.

Exciting experience. It was our first time trying out quad biking, but Angela put us at ease throughout the three-hour trip, in addition to showing us truly evocative natural scenery and providing us with historical information about the castle.

A truly magnificent experience. We went with family and friends and spent an afternoon among nature, history, and art. Vincenzo and Angela, besides being two wonderful people, put all their passion and love into their territory and nature. A crazy experience We participated in the tour "From the Castle to the Sea", the route is a succession of breathtaking scenery and trails where you could really enjoy the view. Going from the historical atmosphere of the Castle of Poggiodiana to the sea breeze was a unique sensory journey. Special thanks to our guide. It was my very first time riding a quad bike. She was amazing: super patient, clear in explanations and always ready to help me. Highly recommended!!!

Today we had a really beautiful experience on a quad bike! The staff was impeccable: people prepared, helpful and above all very attentive to customers. They followed us carefully from beginning to end, making us feel safe and supported throughout the journey. The ride was spectacular: from the castle we got to the sea, crossing wonderful landscapes and enjoying truly breathtaking views. Departing from Taranto to the beautiful Sicily, a land we deeply love, we went to visit wonderful places and savor its wonderful delicacies. We did not come across a simple quad bike ride, but a real experience, intense and engaging, almost like living a documentary. For about three hours, accompanied by Vincenzo and Angela – two extraordinarily kind, exquisite and rare people – we were lucky enough to live much more than a sporting adventure: they, with great passion, also turned out to be wonderful cultural guides. They led us to the discovery of a castle, telling the story with care and in detail, giving us emotions that are not at all obvious. A quad bike ride usually only serves to experience the thrill of driving; here instead we lived a complete experience, a wonderful interweaving of culture, nature and fun. After the castle they took us to see horses and cows, a sweet and surprising encounter that filled our hearts. Valerio and Angela have never left us alone, attentive to every detail and our safety, with a care that made us feel pampered. And, in the hot Sicilian hours, they took care of us even offering us fresh water, to make us live everything to the fullest. Thank you very much, Vincenzo and Angela: you were simply wonderful and made our adventure in Sicily unforgettable.

The Quad Tour is a great mix of sightseeing, experience, fun and action. The quad bike takes you off the beaten track and experiences Sicily from its original side. You learn a lot from the guides about history, country and people. The sea view in the evening is simply breathtaking. On the way you drive straight through a horde of horses that greet you warmly. The best thing about our tour was definitely Angela our tour guide. With her warmth and openness she has made the tour an unforgettable experience!

This tour was an absolute highlight of our holiday in Sicily! The quads were in top condition, easy to use and really fun. Our guide was super friendly and led us to fantastic viewpoints that you would never otherwise discover. We were particularly impressed by the trip along the coast – breathtaking views of the sea, small off-road paths, and exciting information about the region. A real adventure for those who love nature, action and beautiful views. We would do it again anytime!
