Private Transfer From Catania To Taormina (Or Viceversa)

We learned about Taxi Catania through a review on Viator for a tour of Mt Etna. We learned that they also provided car service. I provided a copy of our itinerary and Taxi Catania provided pricing. They were competitive with renting but without the stress of driving and parking in Sicily. They provided names of other providers for part of the itinerary they could not service. We had one driver, Giuseppe, for our 10 day trip. He was great in every way. I highly recommend Taxi Catania NCC.

Dispatcher person was quite rude. He threatened not to give us a ride after our flight was canceled “because we had cost him business” due to the pickup time changing. IN FACT, his driver was at the airport for four hours prior to our arrival.

Booked and prepaid for a transfer on 9-19-2026 from Catania to Taormina. Company Sent car to ship on 8-19-2026 and charged my prepayment. Says they did there part by having someone there. I did not change the dates!!! They refuse to refund my $175 Euros

Wonderful, friendly service. Our driver, Martino, was fantastic. He sent us a text message and WhatsApp message upon our arrival to the airport. He waited patiently for us to collect our bags and take our two young children to the bathroom. He assisted with our luggage and was overall very kind and friendly. He helped us install the car seats they provided. We felt safe with his driving. If you’re traveling with a family, this is the way to do it! It made the trip from the Catania airport to Taormina much easier after our long flight with two young children.

We were deeply disappointed by our experience. Despite confirming our reservation in advance, the driver never arrived and failed to notify us of any change or delay. When we followed up, the response we received was not only unapologetic but shockingly unprofessional—complete with disparaging remarks about our home country, which were entirely inappropriate and offensive. Travel can be unpredictable, but respect and professionalism should always remain constant. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here. I hope this feedback encourages reflection and improvement in how future customers are treated.

The extra tour was not worth the price. Tour guide very uninformed. Lots of road construction in Catania and guide had little knowledge. Very boring.

Our driver, Riccardo, was prompt, and very knowledgeable about the area between Catania and Taormina. We had a very enjoyable ride that included a stop for some delicious Granite and some beautiful sights.

Picked us up right as we were clearing baggage. Super easy. Nice ride to doorstep of our hotel and gave us recommendations of things to do and places to eat.

We were stranded at the Catania airport with no driver at 1030 pm at night. Due to our flight to Rome being delayed, and thus missing our initial flight to Catania, I was unable, due to lack of cell service while in the air, to call and let the service know we were delayed. I later was told I would have to rebook. So I rebooked for the later arrival time, only to have that reservation cancelled by the provider while flying to Catania because their drivers do not pick up late on Sunday night! How am I supposed to know this when making the reservation and getting confirmed? I am still awaiting a refund for this. I received one refund but not for the second occurrence that was cancelled by the driver. We ended up finding a taxi that took us to our hotel, which actually was cheaper than the cost of Viator.

The driver was on time, and took us straight to our AirBnB. I think that a couple of bottles of water would have been nice, and given it a 5-star experience.

This service was EXCELLENT! Driver arrived early for a 5am Sunday pick up saving me any stress that he would find our apartment in twisty streets of Taormina. He was super professional. I am so glad I spent the money on this service to start off a difficult travel day successfully!

Riccardo was great! Picked us up as soon as we were ready and delivered us right to our apartment in Taormina even though it was a difficult location to drive to. We enjoyed conversing with him.

We arranged for a driver from Taormina airport to the apartment we were staying at and then a return to the airport after our stay just so we wouldn't have to try and navigate by ourselves in an area we have never been. Both times we were very impressed with the vehicle, the driver and the service. I would definitely use Viator again for my transportation needs. Both vehicles were Mercedes and were spotless. The drivers were very professional and easy to talk to. There was a bit of a miscommunication on the location to pick us up for our return to the airport, but we were able to easily resolve and the driver was very apologetic. I would highly recommend Viator for anyone looking for transportation.
