Private Tour To The Villa Romana Del Casale And The Valley Of The Temples

These two historical sites were very special and worthwhile to visit. Our driver was very professional and courteous. Highly recommend.

Just finished this trip. Gabriel was the driver. Great guy great service. He picked us up in Taormina so we covered a lot of ground. Since only 2 of us we rode in an audi. Comfortable and scenic drive. The valley of tile and villa are both amazing sites. We felt there was enough info that we did not hire individual guides in either site. Time allowed so we made a quick stop at Piazza Aremina. A roman water fountain. Fun!

Highly recommend this tour! Manuel was a wonderful guide and very accommodating of our needs while traveling with a 1-year-old. He even made an extra stop at a shop so we could pick up baby food. The sites were incredible and we had a great day.

Manuel took us on a fantastic day exploring the amazing temples and even more amazing Roman Villa! Manuel picked us up in a very comfortable car right from our hotel and drove us to all the places, explaining how to visit them. Then dropped us right back to our hotel door! We had an excellent day and it would have been extremely difficult on our own so we are very glad we booked this tour

The Valley of the Temples is a must see. I highly recommend this tour operator - Best of Sicily Tours - and ask for Manuel. He was incredibly professional and went above and beyond to assist me throughout the day.

We did this tour mainly to visit the Valley of the Temples at Agrigenta which were magnificent and well worth the longish drive from Taormina. However, the visit to the Roman Villa was gob smacking and so much more than we ever imagined. The mosaics were just unbelievable and in such good condition. Our driver Manuel was a great driver. Very punctual, thoughtful and knowledgeable about our main attractions and lots of interesting information as we drove through the beautiful Sicilian countryside. A wonderful day and we would totally recommend this private tour.

It was perfect from beginning to end. Manuel met us at our hotel on time and delivered us back 4 July 2024. His knowledge was very impressive. Guide was ok with less information than many of the other guides we have booked on Viator. Was more like having a personal driver for the day. Solid day and our guide had some great food/restaurant recommendations.

This trip was a fantastic opportunity to experience the Greek temples and truely amazing mozaics at the Roman villa. Our driver Manuel was a good safe driver and helped us where he could. Unfortunately we travelled in a very old and uncomfortable van which on a long trip was disappointing. The description was deceptive as we thought lunch was included which it is not. Also for a long day with 2 locations 1 bottle of water was a bit mean. So we enjoyed seeing the sights but not sure if it is good value from Catania.

I called the office the day before the trip and told them I was a nervous passenger and to tell the driver. Gabriel was our guide and was extremely flustered due to traffic and not being able to park near our hotel. When we got to his car, which we had thought was supposed to be a luxury SUV, it turned out to be a small SUV, well at least it had air-conditioning. Gabriel navigated his way through the morning traffic with ease. Once on the highway he drove at high speeds to which I asked him to slow down, this was the 2nd time I told him I was a nervous passenger. As per other reviews I was under the misconception that this was going to be a guided tour. It was transport to the locations and then we were left to our own devices at each site. There was no history tour or information about the places visited. I did ask a question but was told he was concentrating on driving and the question was never answered. Lunch was not as mentioned in the booking. We presumed he would have checked with the resturant if they were open before we arrived. Nope, they were closed so he ushered us to a corner cafe with food sitting in a baymare. The best part of the day was the sites and what we saw. Gabriel tried to made it an acceptable day but we would not do it again. BTW, the tour company needs to update the cost of entry, Agrigento was 15 euro (not 10) and mosiacs was 12 euro

Great trip, well worth it! The ruins and villa are a must see. Manuel was great, very professional and accommodating. He stopped for a break while driving to the ruins, and picked a nice place for lunch after the ruins. Also took us to a beautiful panoramic spot for a photo at the end of the day. Well worth it!

We were under the impression that a Private Tour was a guided tour. It is a private car and driver. Our driver Gabriel was prompt, friendly and able to converse in English, and the drive to and from Agrigento was long but pleasant. We toured both sites ourselves, but if a guided tour is desired you need to book a different tour. Highly recommend visiting both places.

This was a great trip and Manuel was a super guide. My grand daughter and I were also in search of our ancestory and he made the extra effort to take us to the town hall in the town they were from and communicated our info to the staff there. They were very helpful, but unfortunately there was no trace of them, but he was relentless in trying to help us. I will be forever grateful for his efforts. Such a kind young man. The sights we saw were amazing and the lunch choice he made was perfect. Just incredible. Thank you Manuel (probably spelled wrong). Loved the trip!!!

Manuel was a great driver. He was on time for the pick up and drop off. He gave us plenty of time to see the sights on our own. He was very personable and attentive to our needs. It was like having a private chauffeur.

Manuel and his tour company, The Best of Sicily, are a must for any trip in Sicily. Manuel is an incredibly accomplished tour guide. He is prompt, even early, for the pick up to start the day. He is well versed in ways to communicate with his customers to make sure the entire tour experience is enjoyable, funfilled and that you do experience "the best of Sicily." Manuel's company name says it all. We thoroughly enjoyed the scheduled itinerary and even enjoyed more his recommendation for a lunch spot. When Manuel found out my travel partner's family had come from Enna, he offered to take us to the hilltop village, even though it extended our tour. Such kindness can't be repaid. We talked about our next day plans and Manuel offered to create another private tour to a buffalo mozzarella dairy, Ragusa Ibla and Modica. We without reservation accepted his offer and this second day of Manuel's superior tour experience even surpassed our expectations. The timing was impeccable, the locations to visit and experience "the best of Sicily" were truly outstanding. Having Manuel as our tour guide for the last 2 days of our 39 day trip put a beautiful cherry right on top of our already memorable experiences. We would without hesitation book any tour that The Best of Sicily is offering to lead. You, too, will be glad you did.

I took my mother on tour with this company because she is a passionate history teacher especially of ancient Greece. Walking alongside the temples still perfect and intact for her was like a dream, I will never stop being grateful.

We were picked up early by our fantastic driver Manuel, on a beautiful and sunny day we head first to the Villa Romana del Casale visiting it and admiring the wonderful Mosaics. Then lunch in the area, and we leave towards Agrigento to the Valley of the Temples where it seems to find ourselves literally in ancient Greece. It 'was an experience that we will not forget easily, thank you!
