Private Tour To Taormina, Savoca And Messina Starting From Messina

I wrote a review and it didn’t look like it went through -;( I am trying again since our driver Ciccio was worth mentioning ! Ciccio was a great driver/guide ! He took special care of our family member who is in a wheelchair . He was so pleasant . Ciccio also pointed sites , recommended a nice lunch with a view ! He pointed out sites on drive back too ! Ciccio also treated us to a traditional Italian treat -:) He dropped us off right at our ship -:) There was eight of us and we all highly y Ciccio !

Me and my friends group were cruising with Norwegian Cruise Line. When we got to Messina we met the agency on the street. They offered their service and we were assigned to Carmelo and Filipo as our guides. Carmelo and Filipo were excellent guides. They were very attentive and constantly concerned with ensuring our comfort. They also shared information about their beautiful island while showing us the scenery. Both are wonderful people who made us feel great throughout the tour. Best of all, they didn't rush us; they allowed us to enjoy the experience without any time pressure. At the end, Carmelo treated us to some delicious limoncello. I highly recommend the tour with Carmelo and Filipo—I guarantee you’ll have a wonderful time.

Wonderful tour. Ciccio was an incredible guide and very nice. Arranged for us to visit catacombs in Savoca and recommended a great restaurant for lunch that was delicious. Ciccio was very knowledgeable, fun, and happy to take great photos for us.

Ciccio was a great host! He met us promptly at the meeting location and explained what we were going to do that day. He went above and beyond to make sure we all a fabulous time. Very thankful for our time today.

Ciccio was very good. We had a lot of fun and he let us go around and do our own thing in Taormina. Took us to the catacombs in Savoca and ended the day with a traditional Italian lunch. Thank you Ciccio for the almond wine and cookies. Highly recommend

We had an absolutely amazing day with Pellegrino Services! Our whole family joined — from our 3-year-old to his grandparents — and it was the perfect experience for everyone. Our driver, Ciccio, was truly what made the day so special. He was incredibly friendly, thoughtful, and considerate, and he went above and beyond to make sure everyone felt comfortable and included. Ciccio tailored the tour perfectly to what we wanted to do and shared so much fascinating knowledge about Sicily’s history, culture, and hidden gems. His warmth and genuine personality made the day feel authentic and personal, not just like a typical tour. We couldn’t recommend Pellegrino Services — and especially Ciccio — highly enough. It was one of the absolute highlights of our trip to Sicily!

Carmelo was great fun for us during the tour. He was able to give us enough time and info for all of the places we visited, and we all had a great day!

Ciccoo was very punctual and courteous. He also is an incredibly good driver. Unfortunately his knowledge of English is severely lacking. Communication was a real issue. On occasion he did use a translator app on his phone, but it wasn’t the same as having an English speaking guide for the day.

We rode in a van with Ciccio. He was wonderful. Very patient with us as well as very informative about the area, pointing out different things along the way. He also made a lot of great recommendations for things to see and food to try. He was very friendly and accommodating, and I would gladly recommend riding with him again.

The driver was not a guide just a driver. He spoke very little English and at times had to use his phone to interrupt. Explained very little and just wandered around the Godfather shooting our selves with no explanation. We had less time in Taormania and no real tour of Messina and if their were catacombs to us it was the tunnels to on the road. Very disappointing for a company like Viator for the high price paid. We fell in love with Scilly thanks to our tour guide Ciccio! Our group of 7 enjoyed the beautiful sites, shopping and food! Ciccio provided us just enough history on the tour and gave us plenty of time to explore on our own (with some great recommendations for pastries, cannoli, and lunch.)

This excursion was "OK". I caution others to pay attention to the description. The description never mentions a "guide" being part of the trip. What we had was a taxi driver in a nice 6 passenger van that spoke most of his English by using Apple Translate. We were brought to Savoca and told to meet back at a certain spot at a certain time. No discussion or guidance of the area. Same with Taormina. Taormina appears to be a few crowded streets with lots of shopping, however an actual guide might have enlightened us further about Taormina. I suspect for quite a bit less money, we could have hired a taxi driver at the port to take us to these two cities and we would have had the same experience, but for much less money. Lesson learned, read carefully. If it doesn't say "guide", there won't be one.

What a fun day. Our guide was very fun. Although he didn’t speak English well he used google translator and that worked well.

What started out as a tour for five of us ended up with just the 2 of us and ended up being our favorite tour of our vacation. Our driver Ciccio was so kind and helpful to make sure we had the best day! His picture taking to catch our special points of the day were spot on. We had a bit of a language barrier but with our phones we were able to have perfect translation. He personalized the tour to our needs. We throughly enjoy our lunch at a restaurant in Messina that he recommended. We would definitely look up this tour operator again when visiting this area.

OMG- Santino was the absolute BEST!!! He treated us like family and we had the most amazing day in Sicily. Between the sights, the food and the singing and dancing in the van we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. You’ll be lucky to spend the day with Santino.

This was an excellent tour, Ciccio was a great tour guide. He pointed out the highlights on the way to & from. He was very engaging & took us to an excellent local restaurant in Messina for lunch.

Our guide was very accommodating of our group and needs! We covered a large area. The tour is not narrated but allowed us to see the main areas we were hoping to!

Ciccio was a great driver/guide! We appreciated he took us to a local pastry shop for cannoli! Ciccio helped my mom who was in a wheelchair on and off the van.

Ciccio picked us up and was timely. He was extremely helpful with elderly moms and walkers. Very kind, respectful; very informative. Ciccio went above and beyond to immerse us into the culture of Italy and to show us all the beauty in Italy. We enjoyed local meal and he went out of his way to get us fresh cannolis. We felt our group of 6 acquired a new friend. We highly recommend him to others.

This was a nice tour but the reason I would not recommend is that it was listed as private. There were six of us plus 8 in another group with us. Their confirmation also listed it as private for their 8. They were nice and it wasn't a big deal but if I had recommended this to clients and it ended up being small group instead of private, they would not have been happy.

An unplanned tour with Santino Pelligrino! What a guy. Met us at the port in Messina as we got off our cruise. Very personable. He gave us a fair deal on a transport/ tour to Toarmina. Took us to beautiful overlooks, shared generational information about Sicily. Playlist included Sinatra to Boy George to Whitney and everything in between. He sang along to all of them and encouraged us to do the same, and we did; LOL! He allowed us plenty of shopping and walk about time. Met us promptly at our agreed pick up point and delivered us to the ship with plenty of time to spare. A highlight of our 8 day cruise!

Our cruise included a stop at the port of Messina, and we had a fantastic time with this tour. Our tour guide and driver, GianFranco, was so friendly and kind! He was very accommodating for my elderly parents (helping them on/off the van, drop off/pick up at easy to reach locations) and even brought us a tasty pastry that is famous in Sicily! This tour overall was very relaxing, the amount of time at each stop was perfect, and the sights were amazing. Taormina especially was so beautiful. Overall, we definitely would recommend this tour to anyone who wants a solid tour with the highlights of Sicily!

We did the family tour from Messina Cruise Port. Our guide Ciccio took us to different points of Messina, Savoca and Taormina with spectacular views and we knew many interesting facts about these places. We had time to have lunch at a local restaurant and was watching over us at all times. 100% recommended tour!

I have been on tour with Pellegrino service And my driver was Fatty. He immediately put me and my partner at ease, took us on tour throughout Messina and the areas of Savoca and Taormina and managed to explain in detail all the most attractive places in the area with a truly exceptional savoir faire. He also took us to the catacombs, telling stories of how these ancient nobles used to use burial and mummification techniques in detail and depth. It also led us to taste typical local products always full of fun and history of the place. Thanks Pellegrino service and especially thanks to Ciccio, we will carry with us a beautiful memory for a lifetime.
