Sergio was AMAZING!!! This tour was one of our favorite days in Sicily. Sergio made the entire event from beginning to end seamless and enjoyable while also adding his own personal knowledge and touch of authenticity. He’s a wealth of information beyond his tour specific info, we were blown away. We will definitely be scheduling again with him and HIGHLY recommend you do to!!!

Sergio is the absolute best! He is wonderfully fun, knowledgeable, experienced, safe, and just all around a perfect person to show you about the place he loves, Sicily. This was a wonderful trip—Etna is magnificent and the wine and food were fantastic. But what really made the experience was our new Sicilian friend, Sergio. I say friend, because that is how my wife and I felt about him after a splendid day. Sergio has extensive knowledge of just about every aspect of Sicily. He knows the history, the culture, the food, the drink, the geography, the geology, the horticulture, and so much more. His energy, his passion, and his enthusiasm for Sicily make the experience so much better than I can explain here. We began our day ascending Mt. Etna by (luxury) van. Words do not describe—it is majestic and fascinating and beautiful. Sergio then took us to a honey shop, where we got tastings of honey, olives, olive oil, and wine. Next was on to a large vineyard, where we enjoyed a multi-course lunch and another tasting. Saving the best for last, Sergio then took us to a lovely small vineyard, for a much more intimate and personalized tasting. The wines were fantastic, and the experience was top notch. As an added extra, Sergio took us to a ceramic shop at our request, and even showed us his hometown. Our best day in Taormina! My only regret was that we didn’t have Sergio plan the rest of our trip as well. We didn’t wonderful things, but none of it compared to our delightful day in Sergio’s care!!

Sergio provided a great and unique experience! If only all guides were like this! Not only very knowledgeable but also working 110% and putting his soul into his business! Probably you'll be told by Sergio, but don't wear white sneakers and better not to wear flat sole shoes

Sergio was the best tour guide and was super knowledgable! We had an unbelievable time visiting Mt Etna and learning all about the agriculture and history of the area. Gambino winery was the cherry on top at the end. Highly recommend, 10/10

He was very knowledgeable about Cecilia, Mt Etna all the floral and fauna surrounding the towns...and gave us a wealth of information and experiences to take home with us. Excellent, attentive driver, with a clean, classy Mercedes Van. A true, honest passionate Cecilian you'd welcome in your home for dinner.

We had a great time exploring Etna and the vineyard with Sergio. Sergio is an awesome guide - energetic, passionate, knowledgeable about the history of Italy and Sicily, and is very good at taking photos! The trip was well organized and we had a blast!

Sergio was an amazing tour guide. We had the best day exploring mt etna and a winery. His English was perfect, his knowledge of the area was exceptional and his positive upbeat personality truly made our day. He is your guy for all things in Sicily; doesn’t get any better , A+++

Everything was perfect! Sergio arrived right on time and from the time we left until we returned to our hotel 7 hours later, he imparted useful information, stopped at interesting spots, made sure we had everything we needed and in general was a perfect host. The wine tasting was amazing and between the four of us we all thought it was the best we had ever been to... we had the winery to ourselves and they gave us a LOT of food and explained the wines, then left us to ourselves to enjoy as much of the wines as we wanted (very brave of them)... We agreed the tour was well worth the price and would do it again if we return to the area... thanks so much Sergio and Jessica from the winery... a lovely day.

It’s not always the case that a tour guide has the perfect combination of passion for what they do, deep knowledge of the subject area and professional commitment to the guests experience, along with grace, patience and kindness, that is also an expert driver in a beautiful car that speaks excellent English…yet, that is exactly the perfect combination and experience we had with our guide, Sergio! And if our tour wasn’t special enough, Sergio made himself available days later by phone to translate a conversation for us as we saught to locate a birth certificate of a Sicilian ancestor born in 1898 outside of Palermo. And we were able to leave with the birth certificate in hand - so grateful and thankful for our time with Sergio.

Our guide Sergio was amazing! We couldn’t make it up the mountain but he made it an amazing day! The wine tasting and honey stop were fabulous!

While on our honeymoon, Sergio guided us to Mt. Etna and two wineries (one more well known, the other one more secluded). He had fantastic energy and was incredibly informative on the tour. I can't recommend Sergio enough and will recommend they NEED to book this tour if visiting Taormina or nearby towns.

Sergio was so amazing. He even gave me his coat because I was so cold at the top!! Also gave us so much history and recommendations.

Sergio was fantastic as a driver and tour guide. He was knowledgeable, fun, and engaging. The drive up to Mt Etna is incredible with so much to see. The morning spent exploring the towns around Etna and Etna was an amazing experience. The afternoon visiting the wineries and vineyards was a great way to wrap the whole experience.

If you're reading this then you've probably read other reviews of this experience and you know Sergio is an amazing guide, the sights, sounds and smells of this excursion are wonderful and you will enjoy every moment. So stop reading and book it!! Sergio is truly special; like that relative you always love to see but don't see often enough. At the end of this tour, you'll wish he was a relative. Have fun! It was a great day with Sergio as our guide he was very informative and knowledgeable to the area and our favorite part of the tour was going to the wine tasting. The wineries are so beautiful. So much history on these properties if I can give Sergio 10 stars I would highly recommend him for all your touring needs.

We were excited to go on this tour to mount Etna based on the reviews we saw. Unfortunately the experience we had was far from what others were writing. This was mainly due to the tour guides we had. One who admittedly stated he does not normally do tours. Except for the occasional nut tree or lava stone there was no conversation between the guides and ourselves. Several times the driver received phone calls which he took. This can be varied by checking the guides call log. While on the phone we would try to listen to the other tour guide if he happened to point something out. Most of the tour consisted of silence or listening to the tour guides speak to each other in Italian which we do not speak. If we did not ask for water we would not of known that there was water available. It was never offered. At one point in our trip we hit traffic. No issues but one of the tour guides nodded off. We complained to Viator. We had asked for a partial refund based on our experience. Viator unfortunately chose to protect the tour guide instead of their paying customer. Shame on Viator. Even based on the detailed description we provided they felt that this was worth the full $525 we paid for the tour. We felt in my opinion and personal experience paid for a very expensive taxi ride that made stops along the way. This was not again in my opinion and perceived as a tour. My Etna is amazing and the winery was also very good but we could have done this on our own.

We absolutely loved this adventure with Sergio. He was so knowledgeable and extremely nice. By the end of the tour we were like family. I highly recommend this tour with Sergio.

This was by far one of the best experiences we've had in Italy! Sergio was so kind and welcoming. You could instantly tell how proud he is of Sicily and how much he loved this place! He was very informative and made the whole tour feel so special and personalized. We started out going to Mt. Etna, and on our way he took some great photos of our group and told us a little bit about every town we passed through. We ate some canolis and delicious food at one of the most beautiful wineries I've ever seen! Sergio was also extremely mindful of our time constraints because we were coming from a cruise. I highly recommend booking with Sergio!! You won't regret it!

We chose this tour over all other Etna ones based on the amazing reviews for Sergio- however he did not make an appearance?! That said, our two drivers made a great effort to tell us all about the local area and the geology of the volcano. They were friendly, polite and made every effort to ensure we had a great day. As Etna had erupted the previous evening we could not go to the top and the road up to the craters was tricky with the main buses unable to travel up, but they managed to get us there. The wine tasting was excellent. Great hosts, delicious wines and a beautiful location. Definitely recommend.

Sergio was an amazing tour guide! He made the whole experience memorable for my family. His knowledge throughout the whole tour was spot on! We loved his enthusiasm for his beautiful Sicily and all it had to offer. From showing us Mount Etna to the honey factory and finishing with the gorgeous Winery it was truly a 5 star experience!

More amazing than Mt Vesuvius. Our private guide took us up Mt Etna to 2000 meters high. We stood on old lava flows and looked down into secondary old craters. Truly fascinating. Well versed guide Sergio took us to small family winery afterwards for tastings with lunch.

Great trip up to Mt Aetna with out family. Stopped at charming villages saw some amazing views. Learned a lot about the area from Sergio. We had an amazingly clear day so we were lucky. The following day was cloudy.

We spent a memorable day with Sergio visiting Mount Aetna in the morning and touring the winery in the afternoon. My daughters and I learned so much about Sicily and the surrounding areas from Sergio! He is very knowledgeable, professional and courteous. His friendly demeanor and sense of humor make you feel like you've been friends forever! His vehicle is spotless and his attention to detail impeccable! Absolutely fantastic tour and one of the top 3 experiences we had on our 2.5-week Italy vacation. Unfortunately the weather made the tour impossible on our originally scheduled day, but they were able to accommodate us for the next day. We chose to pay for the cable car ride and 4x4 busses up the volcano and it was truly a very memorable, once-in-a-lifetime experience with incredible sights. Also loved the winery they took us to after, which also had fabulous views and delicious wine, cheese, etc. Highly recommend.

Sergio!!! What can I say. He is fun, informative and kind. He takes a personal approach to your experience and sincerely wants you to enjoy every minute of your tour. He is a fiercely proud Sicilian and makes sure you understand the history of this beautiful island. The stops he makes along to way for photo ops are amazing. The only sad part of the tour is when you have to say good-bye. I would do this tour multiple times just to spend the day with Sergio in nature. The tour is 5 stars and Sergio is 10 stars.

This was a perfect tour. Sergio made us feel a part of the Sicily he clearly loves. We went to Mt. Etna, a private winery (don’t miss this) a honey wine and olive store and to many perfect photo stops! So much fun and by far the best tour we have ever been on and we have done many! Sergio made our visit to Sicily a very memorable event… it even snowed! Everywhere we went he went over the top to make sure we were taken care of! He is a local gem!! Don’t miss this tour!!!

Sergio was an excellent guide and the places we visited are all amazing. The winery was the largest we’ve experienced anywhere….and made us feel like ViPs. The wine was superb..bought several bottle yo enjoy on the rest of our trip. Highly recommend this tour!

Sergio was an excellent tour guide with a great knowledge and love of the area. He gave us opportunities to see local honey making and tastes. I really liked the local winery Gibellina who were very attentive and enjoyed the wine. I did not feel rushed but felt I had a wonderful feel of Taormina. Thank you Sergio.

Our tour with Sergio was better than we could have hoped for! We saw so many interesting things! We had a coffee watching the smoke of Etna, walked on an old lava field and craters of Etna, heard incredible stories, and had a delicious wine tasting at the beautiful winery. Sergio was communicative, fun, and obviously loves his country. He also loaned me his coat on Etna because I’d forgotten mine. All this and we were back on the ship before the “all aboard” even though it was a short day in port! You will love this tour! It is well worth the investment if you want to have a great, relaxing, fun day in Sicily! He even talked us into coming back again for a longer stay soon! (I apologize for the retakes of the pics, but they are truly mine. Just having some internet issues!)

Being a local, his knowledge of the area, historic locations, and hidden gems is unmatched. The tour itself started with us seeing the lava flow at the base of Mt. Etna then we drove up the mountain to see the craters and a spectacular view of the volcano. We then went down the mountain to a local honey store where you can see how the honey is made and also purchase some to take home. The tour finished off with a wonderful wine tasting at a beautiful winery. Words cannot express how grateful we are to Sergio and how well he took care of us. If you want top notch service with a true local absolutely book this tour, you won’t regret it.

My husband and I LOVED this tour! Our guide Sergio (a native Sicilian) was so pleasant and knowledgeable. Because it was a private tour with just us, we could ask anything and everything we wanted to know about everything Sicily-related. We were also able to spend as much or as little time as we wanted at each place we stopped. Mt Etna was amazing (although it was really cold on top - bring a coat!), and the winery we stopped at for traditional Sicilian food and wine tasting was absolutely stunning! Sergio is a wonderful guide, and we would highly recommend this tour.

Trip was amazing! Incredible views and our guide Sergio was so friendly and easy to talk to. If you get car sick easily, I’d be a little hesitant to recommend as the tip up the mountain is quite windy, but for us it was well worth it!

Sergio picked us up at our hotel in Taoromina. As we were driving he described our itinerary. His luxury van was very comfortable. Our first stop was a festival in a small town. We then proceeded to the craters at Etna. Our last stop was a small boutique Etna vineyard. Sergio was excellent, he explained to us everything while on the excursion. I would highly recommend him. Sergio is the best! It's the best way to experience Mt. Etna and environs. Worth every cent. We were picked up at our hotel and he'd a luxurious ride to Mt. Etna. We also visited a honey farm and a vineyard, where we were treated to a wonderful lunch and tour. Later, we were brought back to our hotel.
