Alessandra was our guide and she was amazing!! It was lovely getting to go to 3 different wineries and try so many different variations of the Etna wine! A must do when in Sicily!

What a great day with Marco! We thoroughly enjoyed the tour with the three wineries and seeing all the lovely scenery. We went to three wineries and had a great experience at all of them. The lunch was GREAT and that location had our favorite wine! The last location was more modern and we enjoyed that too! Marco was a fantastic tour guide and really gave us a thorough tour and explained everything about the history of the area along with information on all the wines and local olive oil pressing. It was a long day due to traffic but that was no fault of Marco. I highly recommend this tour and ask for Marco! PS - the only thing I would change is to ask if the group wanted to sit together. We had three couples and they sat us all apart. At the end we all said it would have been more fun to sit together!

Not only did she share the experience of 3 great off the beaten path wineries, she also went out of her way to talk about the Sicilian culture and share her knowledge of the local environment. This was a fabulous tour and well worth the money spent. We visited three very different wineries, all of them beautiful. Our driver Bruno was the best! We ordered wine from all three wineries to be shipped home. We received our wine from two of the wineries very promptly; however, we have still not received our wine from Neri Etna. We have contacted them several times and they have promised to send it, but it has been over two months. Unfortunately, we paid them in cash so we have no credit card company to fall back on. So, although we definitely recommend this tour, beware of ordering any wine from Neri Etna. Viator should think twice about including this place on their tours.

A truly phenomenal experience! Carmelo is incredible! So knowledgeable, interesting and kind! Plus, an excellent driver! He took us to 3 wineries- each winery is distinctive- beautiful settings, delicious wine and friendly owners + staff. It was a perfect day! A true highlight of our two week family trip to Sicily! Massimo was a wonderful tour guide !! We had such a great trip the meetup was easy and the travel between wineries was comfortable. We especially loved the second winery and lunch spot. We had many wine options and a delicious three course lunch with vegan options for my husband.

This was a highlight of our Sicily trip. The three wineries were each completely different: a modern estate with views of Etna, a tiny family-run spot where we had a long, delicious lunch, and a larger estate to finish. The pace was relaxed, the food and wine were excellent, and hotel pickup made it easy. Marco is what made it special. He's warm, punctual, and knows Etna's wines, history, and geology inside out. He never rushed us, and he was a great driver. By the end of the day it felt like we'd been out with a friend. If you get Marco, you're in great hands.

Our Etna wine tour was fantastic. Bruno, our guide, made the whole experience — he was knowledgeable, friendly, and funny, and he kept the day moving without ever making it feel rushed. We visited three vineyards and every one was worth the stop, with great wine at each. The highlight was the homemade lunch at the second vineyard. The pasta was incredible, and eating it right there with the views around us was something we won't forget. If you're thinking about doing a wine tour on Etna, book this one. Etna wines are truly something to be experienced by all. The staff at all 3 vineyards were truly welcoming and our driver and companion Marco was truly the best of the best! He brought this experience to another level with his knowledge and true Sicilian spirit and hospitality that made us feel at home and among true friends!

Alessandra was absolutely lovely! We went to the most gorgeous vineyards, each very distinctive with amazing wines. Alessandra did a great job orienting us to the areas we were in and giving us information on the drives. I highly recommend this tour if you are in the area, it was the highlight of our trip!

Massimo, our guide for the day was incredible! He shared many interesting facts about Sicily, its history, and the regions wines as we drove up the Etna hills and to the three wineries we stopped at. The tour of the wineries itself was so cool! My favorite was our second stop, where we tasted wines from a micro-winery and also had lunch. They brew only 4-500 bottles of many of their runs / year - incredible views and amazing wine and food! Thank you Massimo for everything!

This tour was amazing! Each winery was unique and beautiful. The food, wine and staff were all incredible. Our guide, Corrado, was so pleasant, kind and knowledgeable about the area and wineries. The second stop at La Vite we had lunch and it was delicious - the family was so welcoming! All around an amazing day and we would highly recommend it to anyone!

We had an absolutely wonderful day exploring three wineries on Mt. Etna, and so much of what made the experience special was our guide, Massimo. From the moment he picked us up, Massimo was warm, engaging, polite and incredibly knowledgeable. He has an impressive understanding not only of the wines and wineries of Etna, but also of the history, geography and — importantly in this part of Sicily — the geology of Mt. Etna itself. Throughout the day, he helped us understand how the volcano, the landscape, the soil and the people have all shaped this remarkable wine region. He is also a wonderful storyteller. Rather than simply delivering facts, Massimo brought the area to life through stories and conversation, answering our questions and sharing his knowledge in a way that felt completely natural. His English is excellent, and we were particularly impressed when he mentioned that he is continually working to improve it and expand his knowledge. That curiosity and desire to keep learning says a lot about the kind of guide he is. And then there is the driving! Anyone who has traveled some of the narrow, winding roads around Etna will appreciate this: Massimo is an exceptionally good driver. We felt completely comfortable with him navigating roads that would have had either of us white-knuckling the steering wheel. The wineries and wines were terrific, but Massimo turned what could simply have been a very good wine tour into a memorable day in Sicily. By the end of our six hours together, we felt as though we had learned an enormous amount about Etna — its wines, geology, history and culture — while spending the day with someone whose company we genuinely enjoyed. If you are considering this tour, book it. And if you have the good fortune to spend the day with Massimo, you are in exceptionally capable hands. Great guide and great choice of wineries to visit. All three were very different which gave us a good introduction to Etna wineries. At the end, our guide stopped by a local bakery/gelato place which was amazing.

Beautiful tour of Mt Wrna wineries with private transport. Once you arrive onsite you join other groups. It can take a few messages to confirm the pickup logistics, but Rosa and our driver Marco were wonderfully kind and accommodating. Vini Lizzio winery was our favorite - the views, the 3 course lunch, the reserve red wine was our favorite! Highly recommend. Definitely worth the price!

My husband and I did this excursion for our Honeymoon! We went to three different wineries, our favorite being the second winery - Vini Lizzio. At Vini Lizzio you can tell how passionate they were of the wine and we had the most incredible home made lunch. What really made this trip so special was our driver, Massimo! He was so knowledgeable of the history of Sicily and of the local areas we were driving through! He was more than willing to answer any and all questions we had and made us feel so welcomed and safe while traveling through each winery.

Wonderful way to visit wineries! We visited 3 very different wineries & they were each fantastic with great wine & food & views! We loved that we could purchase wine to take with us & also have wine & Olive oil shipped back home. The best part of our trip was our driver, Mossimo!! We were fascinated by his knowledge & history of Sicily & his personal experience of what it is like living here. He was just the best!! Highly recommend this tour company!

Our tour guide, Massimo was the very best. He brought us to three amazing wineries, all unique and different from each other. These were some of the best winery tours I have been on.. we enjoyed how personable they felt. The most memorable part of the trip was spending time in the car with Massimo between wineries, where we learned more about his life, the region, and shared similarities and differences in our cultures. We were lucky enough to have Marco as our driver, and he was fantastic from start to finish. He was an excellent and very safe driver, and was more than happy to wait for us for as long as we needed at each of the venues. He was also incredibly polite and spoke excellent English. The wine tour itself was amazing. We visited two larger vineyards and one family owned vineyard, and all three were fantastic, each offering a completely different experience and some really unique wines. We would definitely recommend this private wine tour if you’re looking for a fun, relaxed and special day out. Marco made the whole experience even better.

Excellent experience with great thanks to our guide Elena for being so accommodating and allowing us some extra time at each vineyard and for arranging a special request to a specific location for us. If you’re looking for a great experience trying wine around Mt Etna, then I would highly recommend booking with Marco. He was easy to communicate with, very punctual, and extremely friendly. By the end of the day I felt like I’ve known him my entire life. The wineries all welcomed us in with big smiles because of Marcos relationships with them. He never made us feel rushed and always made sure we were comfortable. Great tour guide and better human being!

We had a slight delay as our original driver was called away, but Elena picked us up shortly after that and did a great job driving us around to the wineries and telling us about some of the sites we passed. The first winery was beautiful and had an interesting tasting room and the wine was pretty good. The second winery was a lot of fun as it is 2 brothers who make small batch wine that we really liked. In addition we had lunch there that was awesome. The 3rd winery was nice, the wine was OK and we got even more food to eat with the tasting, but it was a little pretentious. Overall we had a really fun time tasting and eating!

Four friends and I booked this wine tour and had the best day! Carmelo was our very kind guide and driver. He arrived on time and in a large air-conditioned van and took us to three wineries. Each winery had its own guide to explain about the vineyard and each wine. We had a delicious lunch of pasta Norma and tons of appertivo and obviously all the wine. We had such a fun day visiting 3 wineries. Our driver Omar was fantastic and the wineries had amazing food and wine. They were so friendly and generous and we didn’t want to leave each one.

This experience was excellent, great way to spend a day if you are taking a trip to Taormina. This is a great way to see the eastern side of Mt. Etna. The three vineyards were all great and each one had a different energy and story. Our driver was great and had a lot of interesting information about the mountain. The tour is a whole day but it was a good mix of speaking with the driver and vineyard guides and then also having time with your group to enjoy the wine, food and views.

Wine tastings were very well organised and we got to know what kind of wines there are in Etna region. Tour included 3 wineries, all presented a different experience. We were lucky enough to have Guiliano as our guide and driver. Provided us with historical knowledge of the Catania area and Sicily along the way and is an excellent driver. The food provided was excellent, especially the lunch at the second winery. Beautiful views from each of the stops. It is a stress free way to enjoy the Etna wineries. Bring a hat, sun screen and water. Highly recommend it.

We had the most amazing experience with Marco on Wednesday. We went to three incredible wineries and ate the best meal of our trip, homemade pasta while overlooking vineyards and Mt Etna.

We had an exceptional winery tour with Bruno! He was a perfect guide to blend stories of Sicilian history during the drive to the wineries and the wineries themselves were smaller vineyards with exceptional wine. I would highly recommend to anyone interested in Etna wines.
