We had a great time walking the markets, learning about the Palermo food culture and seeing some sights with Fulvio. His knowledge of the food, sights, people in the neighborhood and history of the city made the experience all that much better.

What a fun culinary adventure spending an afternoon at a Palermo market with the energetic and extremely knowledgeable guide, Fulvio. We learned about street food and also about some Sicilian history and sites. Clearly Fulvio knows all the best spots for arancini, pizza, dried fruits and nuts, cannoli, street food, and more! We even spent a little time at a Sicilian coppola hat shop, which was great fun. His enthusiasm for all things Sicilian is infectious. Our advice: Be sure to spend time with Fulvio when in Palermo; you will come away with a deeper appreciation of Sicilian culture and a smile.

Fulvio is charming, knowledgeable, and professional with a passion to share his pride in his heritage and expertise with everyone. As we wandered through the market, he shared bits of local history, funny stories, culinary tips and delicious samples of food & drink with us. There is no better way to experience the market!

Fulvio is the perfect ambassador for Palermo. We received some unique back stories about sites. Then we strolled through one of the markets, stopped in unique shops and then tasted some classic street foods such as arancini, panelle, and of course, cannoli and much more. We also stopped in one of the oldest bars in Palermo and drank some Sicilian wine. An additional stop was made at a Coppola store where the Sicilian hats were being handcrafted before our eyes. The tour offers a lot of variety. Plenty of food was provided - all of us left with full tummies. This food tour includes a lovely walk around the city of Palermo with someone who loves his city; Fulvio is a master tour guide.

Fulvio was a fun guide. The tour was good and he was full of information! Just know this is not a gourmet tour - it is a local street/market food tour that encompasses foods sold mainly by his friends in the market. The only thing that would have been better is if he would have allowed us to stop and try other things in the market (so we decided to return after the tour). It was fun!!

Fulbright was a super-fun and engaged guide. We walked through a few markets and tried several “interesting” food items. 😂 He also shared some of the history of Palermo and pointed out significant landmarks as we walked around the city. I personally would have enjoyed trying local seafood items that are available in the markets in addition to the options we had. Overall it was a really enjoyable time spent!

This tour was just amazing. Wonderful food, great details about the city of Palermo. I would highly recommend to this anyone willing to taste and see what Palermo is all about.

Fulvio is a natural host, he loves Palermo and that comes through when you do this tour. This is a great tour to book in the beginning of your stay because you will see different areas of the city and learn a bit of history between stops. It was 100% worth it to have a guide through the sprawling Ballerò Market and to know you are trying the best food and snacks. Some of the food sounds a bit intimidating, but it is absolutely delicious. Fulvio also gave us great recommendations for places to eat and drink for the rest of our trip. Grazie mille, Fulvio!!!!

Fulvio is a very charming, easygoing host. He showed us historic buildings in Palermo and told the stories behind it. You get to know Palermo through the eyes of a local. You get to taste typical dishes and drinks. So when (not if) we come back and meet again. Grazie mille Fulvio e ci vediamo.

What a wonderful and informative tour with Fulvio. We were a family of four and found Fulvio to be very personable and we enjoyed the food tasting and market place. I went on this tour with my daughter in January 2020 and it was great, we felt like we were shown Palermo by a friend. Fulvio took us on a tour of places we would not have seen without him (the back streets of the city, the oldest bar in Palermo, one of the original gates of the city and the best ice-cream shop in Palermo - and that was no exaggeration), the food was very good and so was the company - he is very funny and we talked about anything and everything. We cannot wait to come back!

First day in Palermo and met Fulvio. I was expecting a boring tour with something to eat in the end. But it was so different. Visit a lot of places that you will never visit. My wife and I had such a great time with Fulvio. He shared so many interesting facts other than delicious food. Gave us a travel channel type experience walking through the market palces ordering food and picking up fresh produce. I loved his contempt for anything commercial in sicily. All is authentic and genuine with Fulvio. Couldnt be happier with my tour with him and so excited to go visit him again!

My mother and I had a wonderful time on this tour with Fulvio. We loved Palermo so much and he helped us understand more about it, showed us around, and treated us to some great local foods. Fulvio was always quick to respond to any email/question I had, and was especially attentive to my 80 yr old mom during the tour, making sure she was getting along OK. We have been lucky enough to be part of food tours in several parts of the world, and Fulvio’s ranks right up among the very best. I loved this tour, every year we go to a city and try a walking tour and Chef Fulvio's is probably one of the best, he is well informed on his city's history and it's culture and obviously very proud of it too. Everywhere he took us the food we tried was delicious and it really felt like the tour had something for everyone, a little architecture, a little history, a little gossip, a really big tree and of course some great food. No surprise he's in the top five in Italy.

Was very fortunate to have two guides on this tour, one whom was learning. Fulvio has a great humour and knowledge of Palermo. Was a great way to spend a few hours and walking around with a local I got to see much of the city in a small amount of time, so much walking and the food... so much food. Had a great time and would recommend to anyone who wants to experience the best street food in the world* (*as voted 2019) and see much of Palermo.

My wife and I had a beautiful afternoon with Fluvio touring downtown Palermo including the wonderful market. His knowledge was excellent and our food tastings were fun. We got the train from Cefalu to Palermo and met Fulvio at Piazza Verdi. Walking, talking, eating, drinking, laughing and a little history along the way. Where did that three hours go.? Book and enjoy.
