Ortigia Ape-tuk Tuk 1-hour Private Tour

We had a great experience on this tuk tuk tour, it was the highlight of our time in Ortigia. We were a family of four, including my 2.5 and 5 year old, so I was unsure initially of how it would hold their attention and if it would be safe for them. We ended up having such a fun time. We felt secure, and our guide Francesco provided great history and music throughout. I booked a shorter tour, but wish we had done a long one. We didn’t want to leave!

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Francesco was engaging and enthusiastic. He arranged to play a birthday song for my wife. The tour was a wonderful introduction to Ortigia. We recommend this tour without reservation.

Our driver, Fransesco, was very informative and truly cared. He communicated pre trip as to meeting area and what he looked like so we could easily locate him. Gave is valuable information. He was very friendly.

Francesco was an excellent guide, from contacting me via WhatsApp to arrange a convenient location and time to dropping us off at our lunch reservation. He was very knowledgeable about the city’s history and gave us ample time to view and photograph local sites. He also recommended we visit the church of Philip the Apostle in the old Jewish quarter which is built over the Ancient Greek well which became a cistern and later a WW II shelter. Excellent experience!

Great communication throughout the booking process and overall great experience. We organized 3 tuktukes for our family and it worked out well.

Terrible! Broke down, waited in the heat for another driver/vehicle, who shortened the tour , skipping Cathedral and other areas. Saying it is ‘too busy there’ - then don’t lie saying you go there!

Our guide and driver was absolutely brilliant and very knowledgeable for our 1 hour trip around this beautiful town.

The driver was excellent with kids. It was a good value for the money. This company also set us up with a 2 hour boat ride that we really enjoyed, where we went into caves and were able to get out and swim.

This was a nice tour with our driver Francesco. After booking it was not immediately clear what time and where we would be picked up but after an app message to the listed phone number there was a quick response. Just be aware that there are a lot of tuk tuks driving and that someone without customers will just pick you up and pretend you booked with him. This caught us off guard but fortunately we quickly found out. You drive (quite smoothly) through Ortigia where the guide speaks the text and lets you hear back in the desired language via a translation app. He stops here and there so you have about 10 minutes to watch eea. You pass through narrow alleys and see a lot of the surroundings but it goes smoothly, an hour is over in a minute. And then 75 euros is a lot of money but you see and learn a bit about Ortigia and the experience there makes it a successful excursion.

Great way to visit Ortigia having little time. Francesco and Tony made our ride very fun and interesting. Super recommended!!

Appointments made via mail and whatapp. They were excellently met. Tour was 10/10. Good driver who through translation program on the Ape gave us a lot of info. I had booked a boat trip afterwards. The driver took us there and that was also very nice.

Ideal way to get a good overview of Origia. The tuk-tuk enters all the narrow streets and the driver gives concise information. All the main sights are visited. Recommended!
