Messina Tour Taormina - Castelmola With Cannoli And Sicilian Granite

Andre picked us up at the Catania port and took us to Castelmola and walked us around the beautiful little town where we enjoyed amazing views, delicious cannolis and almond wines. Yum! We then went to Taormina and did some sightseeing, shopping and lunch. We so enjoyed our time with Andre, a truly a special, special person who loved sharing Sicily with us and we had wonderful conversations! On our way back to the port we stopped and had gelato! What an absolute wonderful day and we hope to return to Sicily. Ask for Andre as your tour guide! You won’t regret it! ♥️♥️

Angelica and Sir Coppola were fantastic! When I explained my Grandma came from Tarantino they wanted to make sure I got the best tour. The explanation of everything and the meaning of symbols. We had extra time where I needed it the most. The best experience we could have had. I have walked where my grandmother walked! I can not wait to come back!

We loved having a private tour for the 6 in our group. The road was very windy and narrow. I would not have wanted to be in a big bus. I also appreciated the personal attention from our guide who was very knowledgeable and informative. Alexsandra did an amazing job making us feel comfortable. They also provided free water. Toaramina is a cute town with lots of restaurants and shopping and a little bit of culture and a few places to take scenic pictures. The only hiccup was not knowing the right gate to meet up with initially. But using WhatsApp made linking up easier (having a way to contact the guide is a must!)

Our favorite guide out of all of our tours! Fantastic driving, lots of highlights and an action packed day. He listened to what we wanted to experience and tailored the day to that.

Our driver/guide, Andrea, picked us up at the port and drove us to Castelmola, Andrea walked us around the hilltop village and took us to a famous landmark bar and restaurant, Turissi, known for its whimsical-themed décor. We then walked around Taormina, a beautiful town including a visit to the Messina Cathedral and the World’s Largest Astronomical Clock. Before heading back to the ship he took us to a cafe for a Sicilian granita and brioche bun. A great day and tour!

Originally we booked only the transport service from Viking, glad we decided to cancel that and went with this tour. Castelmola was amazing, small but unique, we like it better than Taormina. Taormina was too commercialized. Our tour guide, Yana, was very nice, she accompanied us in Taormina even during our free time just to make sure we wouldn't get lost.

It was a beautiful experience with Nicola and the tour guide, both very kind and funny! We discovered a lot of things about Sicily, we ate typical food and saw wonderful landscapes! It was our first time here in Italy and we wanted to feel like true Sicilians and that’s what happened with them! I suggest you to come and try this tour!

Excellent tour! Would highly recommend this tour. One of the stops was a bar with sampling of wine and cannolis. Our son had a severe peanut allergy and wasn’t able to have the sample cannoli however they went out of their way to bring us to a place and communicated with the owner so that he was able to eat a peanut free cannolis. Also, at the end we were given Arancino and Pidone at a local spot. So delicious!! Excellent experience! Highly recommended!

Brilliant private tour with Necola. Took us to a great little bar in Castlmola for a cannoli and an aperitif. Dropped us off in Taormina for a couple of hours and picked us up bang on time. Then a granita at the finish. Friendliest guide we’ve ever had. Nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend them.

Had the most amazing tour today with Necola. We were looked after so well and were taken to places we would never have found. The views were spectacular.

Such a great time with Chiara (our tour guide) and her uncle Nicola (driver). Pick up was easy to find and though we were running a little behind, they were prompt and holding a sign with our name. The drive to the cities was smooth, relaxing, with history and points of interests blended in. Our first experience (wine/ cannoli tasting and walk around) was at a restaurant called Turriso… the decor of this restaurant is not for the faint of heart!🫣 After we were driven to Taormina, we were able to wander the streets at our leisure. I recommend purchasing a bag lunch and sitting in the Public Garden. The views are amazing and our guides made sure we saw several before heading back down to Messina. In Messina our guides spoke of the history and other fun facts before we were transported back to the ship. All in all a 5 star experience!

It was very nice to have a private tour. They were punctual picking us up and allowed us to customize our trip based on our needs/wants. Our guide Yanna was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area we toured. Our only negative comment was that she was a bit difficult to understand at times, especially for our elderly parents. Overall, we would definitely recommend this tour.

We meet him at the port and he gave us an excellent drive to Taormina and then a mini tour of Messina which ended ad the Cathedral before heading back to the ship.

Asia was a wonderful guide and gave us some great information about the areas. She knew everyone from the shops we stopped at on the tour and they all seemed to love her! We tried some amazing cannoli, almond wine and saw some beautiful sights. Her recommendations for lunch were great.

Where to start? Nikos and his team are fantastic!! Our ship was to port at Messina and due to multiple ships in front of us, we had to detour to Catania. Nikos’ team came to us in Catania slight upcharge but the point is they came and got us! Then with Asia and Antonio as guide and driver, we took a wonderful trip to Castelmola for some amazing views and history plus cannoli and espresso, even met brother Angelo. We had a tour with spectacular views and a memorable bar with almond wine. Then on to Tamorima for some amazing scenery and shopping and lunch. Nikos even met us back at the port to say goodbye. We had an amazing trip with Nikos and his team!!
