Leaving from the port of Messina it takes about 50-60 minutes to get to Savoca. Savoca: we will stop for about 1 hour where we will visit small local shops, the famous Vitelli bar and the church where some scenes of the famous film (The Godfather) with Alpacino were filmed.
Castelmola, another stop of about 1 hour where we will visit the characteristic local shops, the cathedral, the panorama of Etna and the Turrisi bar where we can find particular themed items and enjoy a sip of almond wine.
In Taormina: we will visit the main street where we will stop for about 2 hours to visit the entire Corso Umberto, where there are many shops, characteristic alleys, beautiful views and, if you want, the ancient Greek theatre. There you can also taste typical local products and have a drink On the way back we will stop 'at the balcony', where we can admire the beautiful panorama of Isola Bella, we will stop for about 10 minutes just long enough to take some photos.
Messina: On the way back to Messina, we will stop at Cristo Re where we can admire the Strait of Messina. Depending on the time left, if you want, we will take you to taste one of these typical local products such as arancini, granita or cannoli offered by us, before concluding the visit to the cathedral with its beautiful astronomical clock.
We highly recommend Coppola tours. They were very accommodating to help plan our day with places we wanted to visit and then some! Communication was prompt. They were on time and so much fun. Angelo our driver was always careful and Marilyn our guide was outstanding. The price was a very good value for a 7 hour private tour. It was one of favorite days we had on our vacation. Don't hesitate on this one...
We had an incredible day exploring Savoca, Castelmola, Taormina, and Messina with Salvo. The Greek Theatre in Taormina was a definite highlight. Salvo was an exceptional guide who made the experience even more enjoyable. We thoroughly enjoyed the day and came away with a deeper appreciation for Sicily. We highly recommend this tour and Salvo!
We had a wonderful day in Sicily enjoying a few sites from the Godfather, the amazing views from Castelmola, and the resort area and high end shopping in Taormina! We did this as a shore excursion from Messina. Our guide was Angelo’s cousin Andrea, who was an absolute delight! He was born and raised in the area and had wonderful knowledge of the history and culture! He was also a great driver! Pick up from our ship was superb! Angelo was so responsive arranging our day and was quick to answer any questions prior to our tour. We would definitely recommend!
Wonderful day exploring beautiful Sicily! Angelo was our driver and Alexandra our tour guide and they were a marvelous team! They tailored the timing to our cruise boat schedule and were prompt in pickup and delivered us back to port in plenty of time. We learned the history behind the sights we saw and were given ample time at each location. We even saw some fun, unexpected sights we would not have known about! Truly a pleasure!! Highly recommend!!

Highly recommend this tour! Angelo met us at the gate right outside the cruise ship and introduced us to Silvia our tour guide, who was fantastic. Our family of 9 was very comfortable in the private bus handily traversing Taormina, Castelmola, and Messina!! Silvia rearranged the schedule to best suit our needs!! We thoroughly enjoyed the shopping in Taormina and wish that we had several days to explore this beautiful historical town. Silvia guided us for much of the tour and we appreciated her knowledge and sweet personality. The almond wine and cannoli tasting in Castelmola was both delicious and most enjoyable. The pictures with Mount Etna and the view from the mountain top was spectacular! We ended the trip with the Duomo Cathedral and granita tasting!!
The whole day was amazing Angelo and his English speaking tour guide were very knowledgeable about the area. The small touches that he added to day made it even more memorable. Will definitely be using the company again in the near future. Thank you so much Angelo

Loved our tour led by Angelo and Alexzandra. Not only did they take us sightseeing but also took us to a couple of places to introduce us to some of local foods of Sicily. This tour was one of the ɓest we're ever taken in all the years we've been traveling. They were friendly that when we left them it was like saying goodbye to family members. The tour with Angelo, and Alexandra as the guide, was simply terrific! Worth every penny. A solid 8 hour tour. There is no way you get all the sites, information and attention to detail if you did this with an excursion from a cruise ship. The value is unmatched and hospitality off the charts. The balance between visiting landmarks and time to explore areas on your own and/or shopping was just right. Even stopped at unique places for traditional Italian snacks/desserts that were included in cost of tour! They treated us like family. A full day but so glad we did the tour through them! Angelo and Oleksandra were a dream come true. They picked us up right on time, and took us on an adventure that was incredible, I highly recommend Angelo as a driver, and Oleksandra as our english speaking guide. they are a great team.
This was a great tour, we seen a lot of stuff and had a lot of fun the tour guides were excellent and very attentive to us .I would recommend them if you are in Silicy ,you will have a awesome sightseeing experience!
We loved this tour! Angelo and Assya were fabulous- lots of great information about the sites, they knew all the great places and we really enjoyed the day. I also loved having a smaller group. Sicily was my favorite stop.
Angelo is 10/10 amazing! Funny, friendly and went out of his way to make us all comfortable. He is a genius with the camera too haha The godfather tour did not disappoint. The tour was fabulous, happy tourists from Australia, Slovenia,Italy and Malta made for lots of chit chat and laughter. A large air-conditioned van, cold water, many stops with lots of surprises along the way. Delicious Cannoli, Almond Wine the most yummy Gelato & Brioche in Messina made the day just perfect! Of all my vacations ever, this was the single best day of vacations I have ever had. Angelo brought us to 3 different spots, and did not rush us at all. Yes the views were beautiful but the he made the day feel special for me and my family. Wish we had more then 1 day in Sicily, but we will be going back next year for a few days, and yes Angelo will be showing us the other beautiful spots in and around Sicily.
Guided tour is most efficient way for cruisers visiting Taormina and “God father” scenes. We had a great time with Angelo. He is not only a passionate and reliable tour guide but also a safe driver.
Angelo had been recommended to me by a work colleague, and meeting him wasn't a disappointment. My wife Sheila and Myself had a day we will never forget Angelo was absolutely fantastic with my wife so patient, the trip we chose took I everthing we hoped Savoka to walk where greats had been The Godfather Brando De Niro Paccino, Toramino with Etna in the Background. Cannolis and Almond wine in 2 fantastic establishments. Then Caselmola for some.retail therapy. Angelo had every detail planned to the minute, nothing was any trouble photo opportunities were plentiful and the final treat at the quayside a lovely ice cream in a nice little family run coffee bar Would recommend this trip 100%
This was our 5th day on our Mediterranean cruise and by far our best excursion adventure yet, This day will be hard to top !!! Our driver, Angelo and personal guide, Asania, were not only knowledgeable on all the rich history of each stop, but super friendly, easy to interact with. They made the time personable, taking an interest in us & sharing of themselves. The experience with food was such a pleasant surprise & you can tell there was a lot of thought put into what we tried & where we ate it at. I would highly recommend Angelo, Asania & his brother Nicola’s tour business💕 My 21, 19 and 17 year old adult children expressed their appreciation & gratitude for a great day !

We were lucky enough to go on a field trip with Angelo and I can only say... wonderful! From the first moment he was super attentive, friendly and always with a smile. He didn’t put any glue on any change of plans, on the contrary, he gladly adapted!
