In Taormina we will also make a stop of approximately 1.30/2 hours. There you can visit the windows of local shops, the ancient Greek theater and taste typical local products. Returning from Taormina we will go to a balcony, where you can admire the panorama of Isola Bella, we will stop for about 5/10 minutes for some photos.
We will go down to the beach where we will stop for about 2/2.30.
Once in Messina we will stop for a short stop at Cristo Re to admire the panorama of the Strait. In Messina, depending on the time available, if you want we will take you to taste one of these typical local products such as arancino, granita or cannoli offered by us before concluding the tour at the cathedral with its beautiful astronomical clock.
Our driver couldn’t have been better. He was a true local that took time to introduce us to his favorite spots for granita and cannoli. Taormina may be the most beautiful town on earth. The town was clean and posh. Felt like shopping on the Sicilian Rodeo Dr, then Isola Bella beach was breathtaking. The beach was crowded and rocky so have water shoes and rent an umbrella to stay comfortably.
I highly recommend this tour. Angelo and Angelica provided a wonderful experience, starting with the narrated drive to Isola Bella where we took a 2 hour boat ride along the coast. My kids loved jumping off the boat into the beautiful water. We then explored Taormina on our own, although Angelica offered to come if we wanted. We tried local foods such as arincina at a restaurant that she recommended. We stopped in Messina for beautiful views, granita and brioche provided by Angelo, and to see the astronomical clock and cathedral. They made sure we were happy and hydrated throughout the day. Angelo was great with communication both before and during the tour. You won’t be disappointed if you book this tour with these great people!
A spectacular day in Taormina. We were about NCL Epic and were greeted by our driver Andrea right at the port. He drove us to Taormina to spend time in the quaint town and see the Greek Amphitheater. It was not crowded and we had a great time. Andrea said he could get us a reservation for lunch during our beach time in Isola Bella. It was a great restaurant with an amazing view of the gorgeous water and beach below. The food was incredible & we would not have found this place otherwise. Then Andrea got us an umbrella and water for the beach and we spent a couple of hours enjoying Isola Bella. It was the perfect day! Andrea was so personable and treated us like family. He was happy to go with whatever schedule we wanted and kept in touch with us all day. Truly the best tour we’ve taken in Italy! Book with Angelo for a special day!!! Can’t recommend enough.
This was the best unexpected day! Our excursion through Celebrity was canceled and we weren’t sure what to do. We spoke with a Taxi service right off the cruise ship and that is where we met Angelo! He drove us to Taormina where we strolled through the picturesque streets of Corso Umberto and we had a wonderful lunch and then Angelo picked us back up again & took us to see a view of the beautiful beach, Isola Bella and a few other iconic spots. He then took us to Messina where we saw a beautiful church, Basillica Messina and then treated us to the best cannolis we have ever eaten before dropping us back at the cruise ship. This was hands down the best excursion I have ever been on and it went beyond my expectations. My best friend and I traveled to Taormina from Sicily on a cruise and weren’t sure how to get around or how to navigate how to get to our excursion. Angelo and Sal took away all worries and not only made sure we made it to our boat on time but showed us restaurants and booked our reservation for us, showed us new cool picture spots and delicious food options (cannolis 😋) which we would have never found on our own! Great experience! Angelo was great, he took us from Messina to Taormina. When we finished touring around we called him and in two minutes he was there to pick us up. The. He took us to Isola Bella to take a few pictures, then to a nice beach for a quick Mediterranean swim, lastly he dropped us of at Messina. Great service and value from Angelo!!

If you judged Sicily based upon the view from your cruise ship, you would miss all of the beauty that the island had to offer. Termina was absolutely gorgeous, and the views were unlike anything we saw. Make sure to stop and eat Cristina’s. Can’t remember name of the place but when you’re walking through the town they have a chocolate and pistachio shop that you need to stop at. The lemon cello and pesto were the best we have had. When you go to the beach make sure you bring some water shoes unless you want a DEEEEEP tissues massage on the bottom of your feet.
I cannot recommend this tour enough!! Angelo and Aurora were amazing tour guides who had taken my family and I around Messina, Taormina, and Isola Bella beach after docking in Messina from our cruise. Throughout the entire tour we listened to historical information about the cities and saw the most incredible places. We tried granita and cannoli, a must try on this tour!! They both were so knowledgeable about the surrounding areas and the local spots to go to. I 100% would take this tour again. It is perfect for families and just an overall amazing experience, they treated us like family!
Angelo and Aurora helped us have a fabulous day in Sicily! Communication about arrival and pickup was clear. They were on time. The vehicle was roomy and air conditioned! Cold water provided throughout the day. We got some good information about the area, stopped at some beautiful spots and they got some group photos of us. We had time to explore Taormina on our own. We then got dropped off at Isola Bella Beach. WORD OF CAUTION- the steps going down and back up are brutal and you need some type of water shoes to walk on the shore and in the water! No sand here! There were so many people that we did not even stay! An umbrella was provided by Angelo but we could not even get it in the rocky ground to stand up! We went back to Messina and hit some highlights there, tasted some Granita and then returned to ship. I highly recommend Angelo and Aurora! Thank you for showing us your beautiful city!
Great experience. This trip gives you a beautiful view of the coast line and incredible architectural structures of Taormina. Swimming in the sea is very refreshing. Great communication with driver and details.
What an amazing adventure! Angelo was amazing and took us to everything we wanted to see and more. We saw Taormina, hung out on the beach at Isola Bella. Then had an amazing lunch overlooking the beach! Then he took us to all the sights in Messina and ended with Garnitas and Cannolis at the best place in Messina. Angelo was an outstanding driver and he and his assistant Altusha really helped us learn all we could about Sicily during that time. We could not gotten a better tour. If we could give it 100 stars we would. Thank you Angelo and Altusha for making our stop in Messina all that it could be!
Excellent tour! I originally was in communication with Angelo, a very friendly and funny guy. We communicate via WhatsApp and had no problem locating him from where our ship docked. He introduced me to our tour guide Oleksandra and driver Francisco, both as lovely as Angelo. Oleksandra provided a pleathera of knowledge about Sicily, Taormina and Messina. I had a lot of questions being my first trip to Sicily and they answered them all. They dropped us off in Taormina to walk around on our own and shop. We went to the Greek Amphitheater as instructed. A must see! Has amazing views from the top. We ate pistachio cannolis, and OMG! They are truly incredible. Oleksandra told us that was the best flavor and she was right! They picked us up and took us for a quick photo ooo at the Four Seasons where White Lotus was filmed then dropped us off to go to Isola Bella. They gave us waters and umbrellas before we headed down a lot of stairs. It wasn’t too bad. We people watched, got foot massages, and some drinks and visited the Isola Bella museum. Lots of stairs and hideouts. Not sure I would have paid for it but we got lucky, it was Italy’s national holiday so it was free. Then they took us to Messina, showed us some churches and took us for a treat. I don’t recall the name of the treat but it was like a slushy. It came with sweet bread to dip into the slushy. Fantastico! We had an incredible day with our guides. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone. Very knowledgeable and drove safe. If I could give them more stars I would because they helped me with a predicament that they certainly didn’t have to. The day before meeting up with them I accidentally sat on my prescription glasses and bent the frames so much that I couldn’t wear them. I asked Angelo if he had an optometrist that could help me with my glasses. Due to it being a national holiday his friend was closed, but they took me to a mall where an optometrist bent my glasses back free of charge and saved the trip. It had only been my fourth day out of a 2 1/2 week vacation so they literally saved my vacation. They went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful time. We’re all truly grateful. This tour was so much fun. Angelo was very responsive and Alexandra was fun and knowledgeable. The boat was comfortable and the scenery was beautiful.
The tour with Angelo provided a nice personalized tour. We went on a boat tour of Isola Bella complete with snacks and drinks. We then went to tour the beautiful town of Taromina. We had time for lunch and to explore the area. Angelo took many pictures of couples and our group and went above and beyond to explain the area. We ended the tour having a local desert, Granita which was a nice treat from Angelo. We enjoyed our tour of Sicily and would highly recommend Tours by Angelo!

We had a great time with Angelo. A very nice guy and good company. He picked us up at the MSC terminal and took us first to Taormina for a couple of hours and then to the beach for another two. He treated us to granita and a warm brioche and even gave us a magnet. An exquisite person. We returned to the ship without any problems and well ahead of time. I highly recommend it
