Messina To Taormina Freedom To Discover Sicily's Jewel

We were a group of 5 friends. I had booked the tour directly with the operator. The communication from them was brilliant, with WhatsApp messages and mails clearly detailing the meeting point, answering queries etc. Our tour guide Lilo was very informative and funny. We were on a small minivan with a small group of people and everyone was punctual both ways which helped. We had good time to explore Taormina and be back in Messina on time. The fee was very good and the length of the visit gives you a flavour of the place.

Cruise excursions can often feel rushed, so I really wanted to find a tour that would allow us to explore Taormina at a relaxed pace. Overall experience was excellent, well organized. Our booked time slot (first slot for the day) was cancelled due to insufficient participation, the tour operator contacted us the day before that they moved us to the next time slot, which was fine. The bus ride to Taormina was comfortable. Taormina was beautiful for a leisure stroll. The tour operator offered us the choice to ride back on another bus that left earlier and we appreciated the flexibility.

Was picked up right by the cruise ship. Very well organized. Our guide, I believe her name was Sabrina was very well spoken and knowledgeable with the history and interesting points of the area. We were back from the excursion without worry. Would recommend this excursion.

It was a nice way to enjoy the city on our own. We made the right choice, Lolli helped us just enough!

Excellent tour guide, Gabriella, and driver , Antonio. Pick up on time at the ship was a big plus. We had a special request due to severe motion sickness and sent a message the day before when we looked at the route. Boarding the bus and found our seats reserved. We normally don’t do this but the day before I was soooo sick on a different bus. It was such a nice touch to go and not be sick all day!!! Our guide was easy to understand and was very knowledgeable. Plenty of time to explore on our own and no worries about the return time to the ship. Highly recommend!!!

So glad we had the early morning 8:30am start time. When we arrived in Taormina no crowds so was great for taking photos along the winding street. By Noon is was quite crowded. Lots of shops and plenty of restaurants to choose from. Our tour guide, Lillo was attentive and shared insights and history of Messina and Taormina during the drive and nice to have your own time to explore the town

Great tour! We had a great time with Maria and Claudia! We were able to learn a lot and have a lot of time shopping on our own.

We had a fantastic tour to Taormina with Lillo! He met us on time at the cruise terminal in Messina, and everything was well organized from start to finish. After enjoying Taormina, Lillo took us to the Messina Cathedral and shared an interesting explanation of its history and the surrounding square. Lillo was friendly and knowledgeable. We highly recommend Discover Messina Sicily!
