Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. The stops were well planned out, giving us ample time at each stop. Every place was absolutely beautiful. Our day began when we met our tour guide, Andrea, right at the port (where our cruise ship docked). He greeted us (myself, my husband, and our 12 and 14-year-old sons) warmly, and we headed to his air-conditioned van. As we drove, he began talking to us about his love of his home, Sicily. Our visits to the three different places were filled with incredible moments and tons of information. There are so many different points during the day when my family made memories we will never forget! Andrea took us to a very cool bar in Castelmola— delicious cannoli! And when we arrived in Taormina, he gave us the best lunch recommendation. It was our favorite meal of our entire 13 -day trip through Spain, France and Italy. To say we enjoyed this tour would be an understatement. It was one of the best we’ve been on. Thank you, Andrea! Until we meet again!
This tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy! This experience is not to be missed. We were greeted at the cruise port by Yli and Francesco. Their love and passion for their country shows in every detail. We had the most magical day with them as our guides. We toured Savoca, Casteloma, Taormina and Messina. We never felt rushed and were able to enjoy stop. Francesco is the master of taking the perfect pictures and driving the many winding roads without us getting carsick! We had the guided tour and private driver for our Sicilian tour and could not recommend it more. Even though the weather was not cooperating and was rainy / foggy Yli & Joe helped us see all the Sicilian beauty and culture! We loved the convenience of having the driver to drop us off and pick us up so close to all we were seeing. We felt like no time was wasted and being on a cruise we appreciated Yli being mindful of our return time to the port. Taormina was everything we dreamed of and more, all thanks to Francesco and Yli from Get in Sicily! They were absolutely incredible, and we couldn’t have asked for better guides. We explored the ancient theater, wandered through charming streets, and savored the most delicious Sicilian treats (oh my lord the Cannoli's!!!!) at hidden gems they recommended. The views of Mount Etna and the coastline were truly breathtaking. The entire experience was magical, and Francesco and Yli’s expertise and warmth made it unforgettable. Best day with my friends and with this special tour operator Get in Sicily. The tour was exciting. We visited wonderful places in Sicily. We did some very good wine and food tastings that I recommend to everyone. We were accompanied by a very kind and funny guide who took us around all the typical shops of the place and explained many nice things to us and took beautiful photos. Our driver Francesco was really good, in addition to knowing how to drive well, he made us listen to Italian music and it was like being in the movie life is beautiful. Beautiful cruise with MSC Word Europe. We docked in Messina and I decided to buy the tour and visit Savoca and Taormina. It was a beautiful experience that I would do again, thanks to the Get in Sicily tour, with which I found great professionalism and guaranteed fun. The visit to Savoca, in memory of the film The Godfather, is evocative. We took a nice walk and had a nice breakfast with granita and croissants.
