Market Tour, Traditional Cooking And Limoncello Class

Fabulous class! Patrizia is wonderful! She met us at the market where we picked out our items to make. Walked to her lovely home which is warm and inviting. The food, amazing! We cooked, drank wine and had great conversation. The recipes were really good, the pesto we made was my favorite, very different then Pesto we are used to. The stuffed squid was just delicious. Wonderful experience!

Patricia was fabulous. Fun grocery shopping in the market, and then returning to her lovely home in the old part of Palermo. The food was delicious, and learning how to make limoncello was so interesting. Wine was good and conversation was stimulating!! Don’t miss taking the tour with Patrica

Patrizia was so lovely, she shared traditional Sicilian dishes, local wines and how to make limoncello with us in her inviting and charming home. It was a very relaxed and comfortable with just our small group (of 3). I was amazed by the fresh and delicious caponata, Sicilian pesto and fresh swordfish. We enjoyed her hospitality along with her insights to Sicilian history and culture. What a wonderful way to start our stay in Sicily with her personalized instruction. I felt like I was having a meal with a new friend.

The cooking course yesterday was such fun, and Sonya will be trying some of your recipes from your book back home. The wine tasting course was a real giggle, the other attendees were real fun, and the wine choices with the cheeses and nibbles (with perfect onions) were wonderful. From start to finish, this experience was great! We had Patricia as our host and she was so fabulous and welcoming! We got to walk through the local market and pick our ingredients for our meal and everything was so fresh and tantalizing…to die for! Patricia’s home was very clean and open and she made us feel as if we were all family. I don’t remember what we prepared, just that the wine was flowing along with the conversation and hospitality. I highly encourage everyone to sign up for this Sicilian experience!

Our evening with Sicilian Days was the highlight of our holiday in Sicily. My mum and I were welcomed into Patrizia’s beautiful home with the ingredients laid out and aprons ready to get us into cooking mode. Then we were shown how the local produce is transformed into a delicious meal. With Patrizia’s guidance we made authentic dishes and learnt about the variations, history and customs associated with the food. All of this was accompanied with great wine and nibbles, and above all wonderful conversation about life and cultures. We greatly enjoyed discovering and understanding the heritage and motivations of the average Sicilian, some of which were aligned with our own. Thank you Patrizia for a remarkable evening that will never leave our hearts. We would highly recommend taking away this real sovereign.

Fabulous night with delicious food, lots of wine & great conversation! Arriving in Patrizia’s home is like catching up with an old friend, she is so warm & welcoming. Together we made 4 typical Sicilian dishes that I’ve easily recreated again now I’m home. The actual cooking was simple enough for any aspiring cook but the results were delicious. Highlight of our time in Sicily.

Very nice and would recommend it for anyone looking for a lovely evening in Palermo! We were invited into her home, and learned a lot about how to make limoncello and typical Sicilian food.

We had an amazing time cooking and visiting with Patrizia, Giuliana, and of course Nino and Bella (the cats). It was like visiting with “old” new friends. The menu was perfect and delicious! It brought us back to home cooking with our Nonna!! We didn’t take home a bottle of limoncello but, that was ok with us! We will definitely be back to visit and cook again! See you soon Patrizia!

Our tour guide, Alex was amazing! He was as entertaining as he was educational! We learned so much in such a short time, we could have enjoyed the entire day with him. I would positively recommend this tour! We left with full bellies and smiles on our faces!

This is what travel is all about. Spending time with interesting people, learning about their cultures, and cooking and enjoying absolutely delicious traditional foods. This cooking class was more than cooking. This was an experience on how to live like a true Sicilian. We enjoyed plentiful cheeses and wines. Learned about and prepared foods like meat and fish rolls and caponata. Most of all we enjoyed the company of a true Sicilian queen and aficionado, Patti! This evening was the perfect Palermo night and Patti’s home was friendly, inviting, and decorated beautifully. We were lucky enough to share the evening with some friendly folks and Patti’s lovely cats Nino & Bella. I would recommend this class to anyone visiting Palermo.

Relaxing and informative cooking experience with a lovely host in her lovely house. *2 cats so be aware of allergies

The host was very friendly and shared alit of knowledge about Italy and Italian cooking. The group was fun and we were all very interactive.

This is not a cooking class and certainly not worth the price tag. Overall disappointing, ignored by the host for long stretches of time in her home, no attention paid to the food produced. Recipes were promised and not provided. No limoncello making or bottle to take home. No history of the cuisine, very short market visit which added nothing to the experience other than carrying shopping bags.

We had a great time cooking with Patrizia. We all helped her in cooking a delicious meal. We learned to make amazing meals. She had a lovely home and explained the cooking process. I highly recommend this tour.

Patrizia is a wonderful tour guide, host, and cook! We had 4 kids with us ages 3, 4, 6 and 12 - and she made it so much fun for all of them and for us. The meal we cooked was delicious!

Patrizia was warm and friendly. We met at the fantastic Capo market and decided on main course the selected and shopped for items for our meal. We went to her aprrmenr to cook and discuss traditional foods. Our group was enjoyable. My family of four really enjoyed the experience. It was relaxing and delicious. We also enjoyed the two cats!! 😄

Great atmosphere with Pat and group. Recommend it to everyone. Plenty of wine and great food. We all went with the roll of the night and Pat kept the atmosphere and food going as well. Excellent night!

We traveled to Palermo with our family of 6 - grandparents to young adults and we loved this tour! Patrizia is a gracious, warm and welcoming host and made our afternoon exploring the Capo market and cooking an authentic Sicilian feast the highlight of our trip! Our meal was delicious - can’t wait to try our new pasta making skills at home!

Exceptional market shopping experience & Sicilian menu planning & cooking with Chef Patrizia. Watching Chef Patrizia interact with the market vendors & learning what to look for was magical. Chef is SO organized, keeping menu ingredients straight in her mind for purchase, communicate with 6 of us & navigate the market in a short time frame. Further, Chef Patrizia’s apartment layout is ideal for a cooking class. I cannot believe all we learned, managed to prepare & consumed in a total of 3 hours after shopping was complete. Chef Patrizia encouragers & offers confidence, making everything possible & look easy. Attending solo, I enjoyed self volunteering for the role as sous chef! I am prepared to return as an assistant anytime! Brava Chef!

We absolutely LOVED our cooking class with Patrizia from beginning to end! We loved going thru the market with her and then to cook in her fabulous home across from the famous cathedral. She is so warm, fun and talented! She taught us delicious and easy recipes which we ate on her lovely patio. We also so enjoyed the couple who took the class with us! We came home and bought her cookbook to hopefully recreate what we learned. If I could give it 10 stars, I would. Thank you Patritzia for a lifelong memory.

We learned a whole lot we did not know or appreciate about why Sicilian cooking is loved the world over from our kind and cordial host. The greatest joy came when the time came to consume the dishes we had prepared. It was the best meal we had on the island. Nothing but thanks and praise to you Patrizia. We were so grateful to spend most of the time in her wonderful home, where she was a great host and made us feel very relaxed. This was one of the highlights of our trip to Sicily. We met Patrizia at the market and walked with her as she got all of the ingredients for our lunch. We then proceeded to her apartment where she cleaned, prepared and dined with us. She explained all of her recipes as she went along. Of course wine was consumed during the afternoon. From watching her at the market, carefully selecting the best ingredients, to learning her techniques, to eating DELICIOUS food and drinking wonderful wines!
