Wear good shoes as it involves walking . Our guide did a terrific job answering everyone’s questions. We enjoyed a good lunch in the park, fabulous views of the surrounding area during the tour.

Very informative and fun! Highly recommend this tour. The guide was personable and knowledgable. We had an amazing day.
The tour is in both Italian and English thus shorting those of us who booked the tour as advertised in English.
The Valley of the Temples is one of the most important and notable sites in the world with fantastic ancient ruins and incredible views. If available, the opportunity to see these temples should be on the list of must do activities. The tour was booked in English. However, our group included both English and Italian speakers. The tour guide’s Italian accent was difficult to understand. The inclusion of both groups was also a problem since the guide sent the English speakers ahead and met up after her conversation with Italians. Information was missed and questions were not available to be answered. We, and others in our group, agreed that we would have done well to take the tour without the guide using an informational pamphlet. We did enjoy speaking with others in our tour group, although this could also have been accomplished without being in a tour group, as there were many people seeing the sights. I would recommend the experience to others, regardless of my less than ideal criticism of the tour guide.
Great 2 hour summary of an interesting collection of ruins. House was very knowledgeable. Views are spectacular.
Delightful Mexican lady married to a Sicilian with wonderful description of life with a Sicilian mother in law ! Her perfect English and extensive knowledge of the archaeology and history of the temples made our trip exceptional.
The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly and made the tour interesting
Very helpful to have guide for Temple of the Gods. It was fun and informative .
Very well organized and easy to follow the path and organized! The Concordia temple is the must of all!
This was a wonderful experience to learn the history about Agrigento. Luigi was fantastic. He was most informative and knew the history very well and he was really funny.!!
It was very disappointing since we never got to experience it - our bus arrived late in Agrigento and we had challenges getting to the site from the bus station. I contacted the tour organizer before the tour was scheduled to begin and told them we would not arrive on time - but were still hoping to join the tour in progress. I was initially told we could join the tour in progress - but then received a call 20 minutes later that we couldn’t join the group. No reasonable explanation was provided. We arrived about 20 minutes late and although my original purchase of the tour included a ticket for entry, we had to purchase tickets again. We did the self tour which was still interesting - but a guided tour would have been much better, just not with Trip Advisor.
Our guide Benedetto was outstanding. He is not only an expert guide but is truly passionate about sharing his knowledge about Greek and Sicilian history. Benedetto is a very good teacher and explained art and history with the aid of visual guides. An exceptional experience overall. Mille Grazie!
Our guide, Lise, was exceptional. She had so many interesting facts - historical, political, mythological - you name it but delivered in such a fun and entertaining way. Lise added her own Sicilian touch to the tour as well! We explored many of the sites including the stunning Temple of Concordia and Lise looked after us all so well. Thank you for a fabulous trip
It was very informative and interesting. Bennedeto did a good job of explaining in English and Italian. He answered questions and gave plenty of time for photos.
Our guide was super knowledgeable and injected just the right amount of humor into her narrative, as well. Worth it on every level.
Great tour guide with a lot of interesting information. Very engaging with plenty of time for questions and photos.
Wonderful, awe inspiring tour. Our guide was knowledgable and had wonderful insights. The park area and temples are beautifully kept. The attraction was easy to get to and had good amenities.
Temples are amazing but the guide’s English was really difficult to understand so I’m afraid I didn’t learn much about them. Also, we spent about 30 minutes of a 2 hour tour waiting for participants to arrive or take a bathroom break!
Luigi was our guide and he was great. Very good at answering all questions and pointing out small details you would never find on your own. There is so much to see and having someone like Luigi to break it all down. Take extra time to walk around it’s beautiful
Even though I specifically signed up for an English-speaking guide, there was one couple who only spoke Italian. To accommodate them, the bi-lingual guide gave the entire tour twice--once in English and repeated it for the couple in Italian. Meanwhile the other 8 of us who were English speakers had to stand around waiting. While it was certainly gracious of the guide to do that for the two Italian-only speakers, it really wasn't fair to the other 8 of us to have to stand around while she gave all her speeches twice--especially when we specifically signed up for an English tour of the park. The park itself is fabulous, though, and certainly worth visiting.
Excellent tour with guide to highlight much of the story of the area that you may not get by just reading the few placards around the site. Definitely value added to do it this way. Uses an earpiece headphone so that you can always clearly hear the guide's voice.
This tour was not good. First, it was advertised as in English, but when we got to the tour we found out it was in English AND Italian, meaning it took twice as long as it should have based on how it was advertised. Second, nothing against the guide but her English had an extremely strong accent and was very difficult to understand. I speak Spanish and Portuguese so I could make most of it out, but my partner who speaks only English could not understand much. this was NOT a good tour in English for these reasons. Also, the guide seemed to tell us little that we couldn’t have read on the signs. Finally, it happened to be the day of the month in which there was FREE entry for all the public but we received no discount for this. I could have saved $40 and a lot of time if I had gone myself and not bothered with the tour.
Mario has made the experience really interesting. He has provided good information about the history of the place and Sicily in general. Despite the bad weather, he made good arrangements to ensure we were well taken care of. I really like the walking tour and find it worth a visit.
Ruins are really cool. Tour guide was informative and engaged. Walking was challenging at times and sites are fairly spread out from each other and ground is uneven
If I could give our guide a 10 I would. If you're in Sicily, you don't want to miss The Valley of the Temples. Seeing 7 Greek/Roman temple ruins in one spot. Magnificent. Our guide was wonderful and very good about explaining everything we saw. I don't think it would be as enjoyable without the tour guide.
This tour was very interesting. It would have been better if our guide had a microphone and we had an audio headset. I feel that I missed some of the interesting information he had to share about this amazing place.
A very good historical tour of the temples and the surroundings and the town of Agrigento. Of course the only drawback was the heat. But the tour operator can’t do much about that. It would’ve been good to have a little stop in the middle of the tour for everyone to get water or go to a café and get some drink and refreshment before continuing on.
Sara was a knowledgeable guide. She answered all my questions and seemed to really know her stuff. It would have been helpful to know the guide’s name ahead of time to facilitate meeting up. The site itself was a stunning example of antiquity with beautiful views from up high to the sea.
It was a bit too large a group (30) plus the tour guide repeated everything in Italian after the English which made it go V e r y S l o w. The tour guide knew her stuff. It was interesting but it would have been much better if it was only English speaking.
The company did not provide any meeting instructions and we could not find our group. Made numerous attempts to the guide and company with no results. Ended up just doing it solo. Based on the fact that we had done our due diligence it attempting to contact them we made a request for refund through Viator who was no help at all and denied the request. Be aware that you will not be able to contact the tour company if any issues arise
Booked an English speaking tour but there was a small group with us that only spoke Italian so she had to give the speech to us then we had to wait 10-15 minutes before we could move on to the next place
The site was very interesting with one well preserved temple. Our tour guide had to explain in both English and Italian as it was a mixed group. We had booked an 11am tour. Our guide was great in finding shady spots to explain details about each section visited as it is very hot. Only issue- would have enjoyed more insight into the daily life and activities of the time. Also, some guidance of where else we could/ should visit at the site. I would book an earlier tour or late afternoon.
Very informative. Be prepared to walk a good distance. Just went yesterday. It was still quite warm but tolerable.
Truly wonderful tour with very clear explanations. We came out it truly appreciative of the sight history and botanical trees.
Terrible service. Terrible organisation. Tour guide left without us and did not call to check where we are. We were there waiting as we were told by staff that need to stand in line. We had to repurchase tickets. Would not recommend using Via Tour.
Excellent tour of the Valley of the Temples. The guide gave just the right level of information and answered all our questions. We felt that a guide was essential to get the most out of this site.
Excellent tour with a very funny and knowledgable guide. The tour covered the most important sites in some detail along with other information related to the Greek mythology and customs.it brought the place to life. Take water as it gets very hot. There is an ice cream and snack bar about half way around which sells water as well. Highly recommend the tour, it added a great deal to the day out.
Viator uses local guides and this one was disappointing. I booked the tour months ago and 4 days before my arrival a local guide text me and said the day I reserved already was not available and I needed to move it a day later or cancel. I asked if he could cancel it for me and he said I would have to. Which shows Viator that I cancelled and not the local guide cancelled on. Me. I had to reschedule to another date. When we showed up the following day the local guide put two groups together. Instead of the English tour I paid for the other group was in Italian. The 1 guide talked in English for ten minutes the. Told us to take picture and started speaking Italian. Both groups seemed to be frustrated. This extended our tour and so much standing around waiting for the guide to finish with the other group. I have used the Tour Guys Many Times and never had a bad experience.
We were a group of approx. 30 people and our guide Enza gave us the tour in Italian and English. We learned a lot about the history of ancient Agrigento and of course about the four most significant Temples. The tour took a little over two hours. Wear comfortable shoes and sun protection. There is a good amount of walking involved. But if you are interested in the history of ancient Sicily the tour is a must. The dual language information made it a little longer, but gave you time to take pictures during the Italian language information. The tour was well organized, with audio guides, and a very well informed guide. Highly recommended.
Informative two hours tour. Lots of walking. Information delivered in English than in Italian. You are free to walk ahead and take photos when your language was not being spoken. Well paced.
I booked the tour and 4 tickets weeks before we arrived. we stayed at a B&B only 15 minutes away. However, when we arrived at 10:30 there was no signage for parking and we were advised by local person. to park down at admissions. Admissions told uc to go back uphill and turn at snack bar. we finally found d paid parking. The Guide did not leave the tickets so we had to wait in line to pay for them a second time. The reason we bought the tour was to skip the line. Also map and audio guide is all that is needed. Don’t waste your money on this tour.
This tour covers the basics of the sites and their history. Finding meeting place is challenging-one has to go to top f the park by taxi after parking at the bottom. Tour guide was good enough.
Guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about the temples. Wouldn’t recommend because logistics. Too much time standing at the stops - should have whispers so that she could talk as we walked. Tour should have had us meet after security as line to go through was long. She was late to meeting point and tour looked like it was going to take 3 hours instead of advertised 2. We keft after 2 hours.
Fabulous tour guide who introduced us to the important areas of the site and who did it well with much humour and knowledge.
I absolutely loved my room, the fantastic staff who made me feel like a VIP guest as a solo female traveler!! They were so friendly and professional. The location is perfect with its private gate to the Valley of the Temples
The tour and our guide, Lida, were excellent. Her knowledge and passion for her subject was extensive and interesting. Not only did Lida tell us information about the Vallery of the Temples, but she spoke about Sicily in general and Agrigento in particular. We had a real insight into life both past and present. A not to be missed tour!
The guide was great. Without a guide i do mot think you would get as much out of the ecperiene. Good vale. Only bad thing was we were not prepared to walk the distance back to the starting point. Uphill in some instances. While on the tour the walking was significant.
Enza was a great tour guide. Very knowledgeable and attentive. Our tour was in English and Italian and she had great information in both languages. We would highly recommend Enza as a guide!
The place was great and tour guide was good. Though we bought the English-speaking tour, the tour was conducted in English and Italian — so you stood around half the time while everything was repeated in another language. Would not have bought the ticket if I realized that was the case.
The tour guide had no record of our reservation which held up everyone until she was able to resolve. The group size was over 25 which was too large to hear her unless you were up front. I wouldn’t recommend for the price we paid.
