Itinerary
After setting sail from the Port of Giardini Naxos we will sail through the bay of Giardini Naxos, until reaching Capo Taormina. We will be able to admire from the sea the coast of the village, once a seafaring and fishing village. The Sicilian language The word "Giardini" means "citrus grove" and once the territory was occupied above all by the crops of the delicious Sicilian fruits. The term "Naxos" refers to the name that in the seventh century BC The Greeks called the first Colona in the land of Sicily. Shortly before reaching the promontory, on the south side and overlooking the Bay of Giardini Naxos, we will find the "Grotto of lovers". It is a suggestive heart -shaped natural inlet. The cave is not wet from the sea inside and is separated from the water by a difference in height of about one and a half meters. The crystal clear waters and the breathtaking view of the bay and Etna that can be admired from its interior create a magical atmosphere.
Capotaormina is a splendid promontory overlooking the sea. At its summit, nestled in the rock is the hotel of the same name, an iconic, elegant and retro-style structure. The terrace with swimming pools overlooking the sea and the famous little beach are famous. Capotaormina has a rocky seabed, with rocks emerging from the water. The lagoon, sheltered by the promontory, is a paradise for scuba diving enthusiasts, due to the numerous colonies of coral that live on the rocks. After rounding the promontory, overlooking the bay of Isola Bella we will find the "Grotta dei Coralli". It is a small cave characterized by colorful corals that, with the crystalline waters of the sea, create suggestive color contrasts. As we sail towards Isola Bella we will encounter the "Scoglio del Fico d'India", an imposing rock covered with the famous Sicilian fruit.
After the promontory we will sail in the bay of Isola Bella. It is between Capotaormina and Capo Sant'Andrea with Isola Bella in the center. Isola Bella is called the "Pearl of the Mediterranean" and its history is linked to the English noblewoman Florence Travelyan, who bought it and transformed it into a wonderful botanical garden, with precious essences and exotic flora and fauna. It is separated from the coast by a strip of sand that appears and disappears depending on the tides. Right in front of Isola Bella we will stop for a swim and to enjoy a refreshing aperitif on board. These clear, crystalline waters and rich, colorful seabeds are ideal for snorkeling and diving.
Overlooking the bay of Isola Bella, we find the Blue Grotto. The cave is about 20 meters deep. It is set in a 15-meter high rock face and owes its name to the cobalt blue and light blue colors of its interior. The sun's rays, refracted by the sea water, create a hypnotic and magical suggestion. A crystalline and transparent seabed, rich in coral, sea urchins and starfish. The myth tells that the cave was a meeting place for sea nymphs and that, on full moon nights, you can still hear their seductive songs. An unmissable experience for lovers of snorkeling and diving. After rounding Cape Sant'Andrea we will find the Grotta dei Coralli. It is a small cave whose seabed is rich in colorful corals. We will then enter the bay of Mazzarò. The small beach of Mazzarò is located in the bay north of Isola Bella, beyond the cape and is one of the most popular beaches in the area. The coastline, characterized by pebbles, has free stretches and beaches equipped with umbrellas and sun loungers.
Before returning to the port of departure, we will enter one of the most beautiful bays in the Mediterranean: the Baia delle Sirene. It is a corner of paradise, an oasis of wild beauty between myth and legend. The Bay of Sirens is shrouded in mystery and legend. It is said that its name derives from the seductive song of the sirens who, attracting sailors with their beauty, caused them to shipwreck on the rocks. The path overlooking the cliff offers unique panoramic views, while diving into the crystalline waters of the bay is a panacea for the body and spirit. An ideal place for photography lovers, thanks to its breathtaking landscapes and the light that changes continuously throughout the day. Sailing towards the port of Giardini Naxos we will see the "Elephant Rock", a gift of nature, sculpted by the sea and the wind and with an unmistakable shape. From the sea we can also see the local station, famous for being the set of some scenes from the Godfather saga.

Wonderful boat trip with our guide Carmelo, singing and regaling us with stories of Sicilian life. We saw dolphins doing acrobatics which was beautiful. Just remember to take cash and tip your guide because he was just gorgeous 😍
Our Skipper was amazing. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and fun. The boat ride was refreshing and relaxing. The water was beautiful. The swim was amazing. Saw some great sights! Highly recommend.
Exceeded expectations. Our captain was very knowledgeable and funny. He stopped so we could swim in a cove and the water was amazing. 1000% recommend!!
Great afternoon trip. Beautiful area.
Lovely boat trip, very relaxing and great opportunity to see the coast of Taormina which you'd otherwise miss. The cave was fun and the swimming off the boat at the last location was fabulous.
The guide was amazing and the staff for booking was great they even waited for us because we were running very late. Highly recommend we had so much fun
This was a really fun boat trip Francesco our guide was incredible. Very informative. The boat was a little rundown, but it was a great experience. He did a save time. If people wanted to swim he gave us Prosecco. We went out with probably 10 people on the boat and a couple families and a couple couples out of the people that went just two couples myself and another couple didn’t go swimming. Everyone had a great time. He was very informative showed us everything and really was a nice guy and he made the tour.
The tour was great. Francesco our guide was fun and knowledgeable. The total time was a bit less than 2 hours but totally fine. It was nice to see other parts of Taormina and beyond from the sea.
Ros was an excellent guide. He obviously enjoys, people, the area and his job. Wonderful tour
Great trip, lots of fun, music and local information. We loved seeing around the coast and the time swimming in the sea was the best part.
Beautiful vistas fun guide all of the coastline was explained. Saw some singularly amazing sights coral caves
Great 2 hour trip with a swim jump. Captain Francesco was excellent showing all the highlights with explanations. We were booked for 4pm but operator changed it to 2pm. No big deal.
Everything was great, the experience was magical, would recommend 1000%
Amazing trip and the ppl running it were amazing. Big big thank you to SIMONA for all her help
Was a great tour. Got to swim along the way. Good explanation of surroundings. Love the red coral in the cave.
Wear a swim suit! The ride was fun and we did see dolphins. The pizza and prosecco were a good added touch for the price!
Highlight of our Sicilian trip!
A great way to spend the afternoon after visiting Taormina in the morning. Being on the water with a cool breeze and beautiful scenery was awesome and the bubbly and treat was tasty. The captain had a great, friendly personality.
Great trip, captain was excellent ,funny and knowledgeable, very relaxed 2hours,weather was excellent, think Roberto was the captain.
Only small boat, we were 2 of total 10. Wouldn’t be very comfortable with much more. No toilet. Wouldn’t do for people with sea sickness - was quite choppy. Good to see the coastline and especially area around Taormina. Promises caves but you can only get to the entrances as the entrances were too small so a bit disappointing. Approx 20-25 mins for a swim. Teenagers liked this bit best. Prosecco, sodas & almond pasties offered at this point. It wasn’t overly expensive so not complaining but it’s not the most exciting excursion.
We had a great time with Carmello. Especially in the evening, the view of the island from the sea is priceless! We were even lucky and were able to see dolphins!
A very nice little trip with a super good and pleasant guide.
Very beautiful experience and Carmelo is a super captain
The boat trips were great? Spotting the dolphins was magical! We booked a very nice boat trip with Blue Sicily Group in Giardini Naxos. We were with 4 people and had our own boat with a super nice Captain: Luca, a real top dog! He told everything about Sicily and the surrounding area and was very hospitable! We got delicious Sicilian cookies, soda, and Prosecco! The boat trip is really recommended, you can swim and snorkel several times in lovely blue water and you see the most beautiful spots!
Everything went great, great tour, very friendly, saw a lot, it was also explained well in English. There was also 25 minutes of time to swim in the bay - simply dreamlike! Top!
Excursion canceled due to adverse weather conditions, I am awaiting a refund as anticipated by the local operator
The dip in a cove before returning was very pleasant
Fantastic experience, they were very cordial; we changed the excursion time twice because, having made so many stops, we were late; they did not give us any trouble and accommodated us immediately. Mr. Daniele, who met us at the boarding area, was very kind, and Mr. Francesco, our skipper and tour guide who led us along the entire route, was fantastic and also very nice, especially patient with my three daughters. They offered us prosecco and pizza, and upon arrival, almond cookies. We went in search of dolphins, which unfortunately we missed by a few minutes. Highly recommended tour; we went swimming at Isola Bella, where the water, due to its particular salinity, keeps you floating without moving a muscle—a wonderful sensation, it feels like you are suspended. The tour is exactly as one should expect, relaxing and pleasant. Reasonable price.
Good value for money, nice guide. Nice the almond cookies and drinks on board included. Very nice 7 people including 1 baby and 1 toddler.
Wonderful boat trip Mr. Francesco was delightful We were the only Italians on the boat and we had a lot of fun with Francesco Wonderful swim and excellent sparkling wine
Everything was wonderful and our guide Carmelo told us all the details of the tour in a pleasant and enjoyable atmosphere Totally recommended with a swim at the end of the tour in front of Taormina in the waters of the Mediterranean 💜
Everything went perfectly, the guide Francesco was a very amiable guide
