From Volcano To Sea: Private Tour Of Etna And Taormina Boat Tour With Tasting

This was a wonderful full day experience. Corrado was an excellent guide. He is very knowledgeable about Mt Etna and volcanoes in general. He is also a good driver. After many interesting activities on Etna he took me to a wonderful bakery/coffee shop for lunch. Then he dropped me off at the boat for an interesting tour of several nearby bays. All in all a fantastic experience.

Massimo was the most amazing guide for our day on Etna! His knowledge and live for the. Volcano (he lives on it) is without compare. The tour was completely catered to what I wanted on that day. This was surely the best excursion I have ever booked and would recommend this to anyone that wants to experience Europe’s most active volcano up close. The boat ride and swim with Antonio and Riccardo was a great way to finish the afternoon and Massimo was waiting for the return trip to the hotel. All in all a perfect day!

Omar was a fabulous guide . He was thoughtful in planning a tour to accommodate my limited ability. I was able to look into the volcanic crater thanks to his assistance . The surrounding area is magnificent. Omar also gratified my desire to experience a true almond Granita while visiting Taormina. He is a great driver and lovely company

Corrado was a fantastic guide. His knowledge of Mt. Etna really enhanced our experience. He guided us through tunnels, explained the lava flows, showed us dormant craters, and shared personal stories of his adventures skiing on the Mt. Etna. We enjoyed spending the day with him and recommend him to anyone looking for a fun and educational experience exploring Mt. Etna. The boat trip took us along the beautiful coastline of Taormina and into the grottos carved into the cliffs. It was a great experience. The water was so blue, and if it were just a little warmer, I couldn't have resisted the opportunity to swim. Corrado picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel. This tour was a highlight of our Sicilian vacation. Thanks, Corrado!!

My boyfriend and I traveled to Taormina and couldn’t have chosen a better tour guide to show us the volcanos than Corrado. He was so informative and passionate about the volcano. The boat tour was the perfect way to end the trip, we got to jump in the water and enjoy the beautiful views.

Our guide Corrado was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and pleasant. He tailored the tour to our interests and abilities. He arrived early in a clean car with fresh water for us and he was well prepared with jackets for the mountain and seat covers after the boat ride. The wine and honey tasting was a great way to break up the morning and the arrancini lunch was fantastic! I would highly recommend this tour! Wear your swimsuit under hiking clothes because there is no where to change on the boat ride and the water was so inviting!

We spent the morning on Mt Etna with Corrado, who was excellent. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the volcano and the surrounding area and showed us various parts of the mountain that enhanced our trip and visit to Mt Etna. We walked away with a richer understanding of Mt Etna and its importance to the region because of Corrado.

Mt. Etna was incredible! We were able to do some climbing after getting settled in the hall. We weren't prepared for the significant drop in temperatures. Fortunately, our guide had extra coats. (The volcano erupted days afterwards. So it may not be available to tour currently.) We then visited a wine/olive oil/honey tasting that we really enjoyed.

We had an excellent experience with Alessandro! We enjoyed the entire day, and he was wonderful with our 12 and 13 year olds as well. This tour made Sicily one of the best stops of our cruise! We added the boat tour option and that was also a highlight with the beautiful sites.

This is our second time in Sicily and this tour represents all the beauty of the island. The mountains and the sea. Our guide Francesco was kind and never rushed us. The arancini were tasty. Thank you for the unforgettable day.

Trip date- April 2024-Our tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Alessandra was prompt and communication was excellent. She shared lots of local knowledge about the area and even more about Mt. Etna! It was a perfect amount of time and a great way to see Mt. Etna and the Taormina coastline. Following the Etna tour we had lunch in a city park space that looked out to the sea. Lunch was great and made locally. Alessandra helped us with our order. We opted for local beer with our sandwiches for something different. From there we went to the marina to catch a boat. One other couple joined us there. Our captain was fabulous and a unique perspective of Taormina area from the sea. This is where we had our sparkling wine.

We had an amazing experience and highly recommend! We had our tour with Elena and cannot say enough how wonderful she was. She was so informative and attentive. The private tour is well worth it. After our volcano tour we had an enjoyable boat ride which was had amazing views!

We booked this tour after our amazing experience with this company and we are really glad we did! My husband and I have loved Mt. Etna, our guide Bruno was amazing. He shared very interesting information about the Volcano and the area and was very attentive. Etna landscapes are unforgettable! In the afternoon we had a boat tour around Giardini Naxos and Taormina bay, which was very relaxing. The panorama was absolutely beautiful. This is our second tour with Prestelli Sicily Tours and we will for sure choose the company for our future trips to Sicily. We really recommend!

My husband and I booked this tour on our honeymoon and we would highly recommend it. Mt Etna was absolutely breathtaking, something you can’t describe until you see it in person. It was an experience we’ll never forget. Alessandra was our guide and she was amazing! She taught us some great facts about Etna, took us to a cave and made our experience enjoyable. We also loved that this included a boat tour. It was fun being able to anchor the boat and swim for a little. This tour was the perfect amount of time to experience both Etna and the ocean. I also want to say Prestelli Tours was very helpful, communicative and quick to respond when we had to switch our date last minute due to weather. Fantastic day from start to finish with Luigi on the Volcano to Sea tour. A great tour of Mt Etna craters with Luigi providing a ton of information....he knew everything about the area. Stopped to view some of the caves created by past eruptions, then a stop for honey, wine, olive oils and arancini at a great cafe. On to Giardini Naxos for an wonderful boat ride in Taormina Bay. Close up view of Isola Bella, grottos, swam, drank prosecco....could not ask for more. Luigi was a fantastic guide....thanks so much for a great day!!

This was an excellent excursion! Going from the top of Mt. Etna then down to the sea for a cruise made for a very fun day. We even made stops in small downs around Etna to have a Sicilian lunch and check out some Etna specialities like honey, wine and olive oil. Our guide Maurizio was highly knowledgeable about the area because he grew up there. He took care of us from the moment he picked us up at the hotel until he dropped us off. It’s a long day, lasted around 8 hours, but very worth it. Highly recommend!

Samuela was our private driver and guide - and she is amazing! She picked us up at our B&B on time (actually she was a bit early and waiting to greet us). On the drive to Mt. Etna she provided us some outstanding history of Mt Etna and what we could expect to see once we arrived on-site. This tour was ~ 7 hours in length with plenty of driving. Samuela is a safe driver and I felt comfortable as a passenger. The Sicily roads can be very challenging, and exciting. Our tour included a stop at a honey shop where we sampled several flavors of honey, tasted local wines and several flavors of olive oil. On Mt. Etna, Samuela again explained the history and special aspects surrounding Mt. Etna. She is extremely knowledgeable in this area. All day, she ensured we were informed, educated and comfortable. I would highly recommend we tour and Samuela as your private driver/guide.

The boat was a nice part of the tour to see the coastline, but the Mt Etna tour with Elena was really something special. She was a great guide and very knowledgeable of the volcano and the towns surrounding it. We stopped along the way for arancini, tried some local honey and ended up buying a bunch of small jars, and even had a little time to stop and try some wine at a winery on the north east slope of the volcano. This was a great way to spend the day in Taormina, and walking on the volcano was incredible.

A really lovely evening trip. A knowledgeable and friendly crew who always went “the extra mile”. Great food and wine and even had time to dance!!

This tour was amazing. We loved the tour of Mt. Etna and the Taormina boat tour was fantastic. Bruno our tour guide most incredible. He came to our Airbnb the day before the tour introduced himself and arrived the next day on time. He spoke perfect English. He went above and beyond in helping us with arranging other transportation and covid test.
