Smooth trip with pick up and drop off at the place we were staying in Catania. Francesco was an excellent guide. The tour was ideal for first time visitors, offering a mix of guided and free time, and a variety of activities, from easy trekking on Etna to exploring a lava cave, testing local honey and exploring on our own beautiful Taormina. Ideal for those who do not feel comfortable driving around on their own. We enjoy the trip very much. Thank you Francesco!

Salvatore was very helpful and informative. The visit was fun with Mt. Etna, wine tasting, and a visit to Taormina. The pick up and drop off to Catania went very smoothly.
Best trip if you want an easy, but beautifull hike & wine tasting. Salvo knows lot of thing about Etna and also the area of the montain. Sunset and alá a rubel also marveloous
Fantastic time, could not have been any better. All scheduling went as planned. Simone is very knowlegable, funny, and respectful. We had a nice group, put his one on your list.
Being above the clouds at mt. Etna was amazing. I would have liked to try the e bikes to go up the mountain but wasn't sure if i needed more experience.
The guide was well informed and entertaining. I also enjoyed the tasting at the end and meeting the oither people .
Amazing trip and great guide! Absolutely worth the money and there’s nothing to complain about! Made my day
Amazing experience! Mount Etna is breathtaking and Giuseppe made the tour even better. He taught us many interesting facts about the volcano and was very friendly and helpful. The tasting at the winery at the end was gorgeous, one delicacy better than the other!
We reserved the tour on friday night to then wake up on saturday with a gray and rainy Catania. We were unsure if it was worth it but our guide (Nando) reassured us that we were going up to 2000m and the weather there could be completely different. After picking up the rest of the group (7 total) with a nice fiat minivan, we first reached the long cave where Nando explained us the process of formation of volcanic caves while showing us the signs. we then reached rifugio sapienza at 2000m with our guide showing us how the landscape was changing while climbing up in the van. Reached the top we had the possibility to take a cable car and reach 2750m where another guide would give us a tour (for 67Eur extra cost). We instead opted for staying at the craters close to the rifugio and it was spectacular, the views and imagining the eruptions looking at the craters formed more than 200years ago. Very knowledgeable, easygoing and funny guide, Nando "made the sun shine" across the clouds! On the way back we stopped at a small producer of honey that mounted a little museum of old practices and let us try their delicious product that you can buy for good prices. Highly Recommended!
We booked this tour during our stay in Catania and had a great time visiting the Etna with our lovely guide Luigi, who was very passionate and knowledgeable about the volcano and its surroundings.
We had a fabulous half day tour of Mt Etna! Our guide, Simone, was so helpful and knowledgeable (as well as patient)! We were picked up at our hotel with boots for us to borrow. Simone narrated with interesting facts throughout! The stop off at the cave was fascinating. We enjoyed a coffee with superb views! the cable cars are a must do! On the return, we stopped off at a farm shop, Oro d'Etna sampling local produce such as wine, olives, honey and oils. I would highly recommend Etna Tribe for any of their tours.
The tour was really nice, with 2 very expert, friendly and informative guides. They picked us up rigth in front of the hotel, we went up to the Etna, then did a 2 hour-walking-tour. After that, we entered a volcanic cave nearby, and than we went to honey shop where we could taste the specialty of the region. At the end of the day we were dropped at our accomodation. It was a very good experience for a reasonable price.
The water was fine people friendly and everything went smoothly. Se had vero nice travelmates form Taiwan.
This was a very nice activity and easy way to experience Etna. Very good guide who spoke good English, his name was Danilo Caruso. He knew a lot about the history of Catania being originaly from the city. He also knew alot about Etna, so it was no problem asking him questions we had. It was a very enjoyable day and would recommend it for families, groups and couples. At the end of the activity he took us to a small shop were we where able to taste lokal stuff like honey, wine and olive oil. It was very nice and a good way to end the day.
An amazing 7 hours with Danilo Caruso of Etna Tribe picking us up from our hotel at 8.30 this morning. He gave us a bunch of information about local history and the fun differences between the residents of Catania and Palermo. The clear day allowed us superb views from the top. The wind chill at the top drove the temperature to sub-zero but the views of the craters and the still smoking craters at the top was an experience which will be remembered for a lifetime. Now looking forward to a meal of Granitas, Arancini and Pizza to be finished with some casata and cannoli.
Very enjoyable and informative tour of the beautiful Mt Etna. Danilo the guide was very friendly and helpful to one of the less able bodied members of the group. we stopped off on the way to explore a lava cave and were provided with all the necessary safety equipment (hard hat, torch). The drive up to Mt Etna was very beautiful and you can see the landscape change the higher you went. Once at the stop off point there is a restuarant and gift shop and the option (for 60 euros) to go further via cablecar up to one of the craters and be shown around by one of the Alpine guides. Be sure to wear something warm as the temperature is a bit chilly. We were rewarded with some wonderful views and photo oppertunities. On the way back to Catania we stopped off at a rural village vineyard and wine producer for some rustic nibbles and to sample some of the wines which you can buy. Overall this tour is very enjoyable and I would highly recommend it. Many thanks to our excellent guide Danilo.
Loved this tour and it was made so memorable by our guide Giulia. She seamlessly moved between English, Spanish and Italian making us all feel welcomed and attended to. She has a wonderful upbeat, energetic personality and was very well informed. The trip was just the right length and even though we had a variety of ages, languages and mobility she made all feel they got the tour that was good for them. We had very blustery weather but this only served to heighten the power of mama Etna - do not mess with Mother Nature. Giulia went above and beyond when a couple approached our van on the return to Catania in much distress. Their hop on hop off bus had blown a tire. They had to get to the airport ASAP - Giulia kindly gave them a lift but never lost sight of her other customers needs. She was really an Angel to these distresses tourists. She never skipped a beat kept calm and handled all with grace just like her diving! Ciao
We were a group of 6 adults. We started around 8.45 from our hotel with a very warm welcome from our tour guide Nataly. It was a very pleasant drive thru the city of Catania As it was still a bit cloudy, Nataly suggested to visit a cave on the way to Etna first. She was very efficient and very flexible! We were then rewarded by an exciting dramatic views of the volcano with alternatively clouds covering the volcano and blue sky! Fantastic! It was such a great experience! Thank you so much Nataly and wish you all the best!
It was a really nice experience, even if it was on the 2nd day of Christmas 2017 - we were a group of 7 people - 2 romanians, 2 chinese and 3 italians. Our guide was Simone (by the way, I did not see him mentioned in the staff) and I strongly recommend him. I went to Catania having been informed, beforehand, on public transportation, from the Internet... all wrong, unfortunately. We discussed with the personnel of the hotel we stayed in (a very good one, I already wrote a review on this) and they said there is no public transportation to Etna and gave us a leaflet - of Etnatribe. My husband decided that we should use their offer, if we want the best of our trip - and, surprisingly, I agreed on with him. And it was worth... Simone made a great job with translating from En to It, all he said, and he discovered that the Romanians understand It, even if they never learn it - it was fun! Simone was so helpful with the trekking experience, both in Refuggio Sapienza, where we visited 2001-2002 craters and with the lava cave experience - nothing signals the lava cave, but it is awesome - me and my husband laughted about this - the guides take the advertisments from there ( I joke) - it is a very nice experience and I strongly recommend!!! Have fun, everyday!

We had an incredible trip to Mt. Etna! Enzo picked us up at our Airbnb apartment in Catania, and told us we were the only ones on the tour that day, so we could design our trip any way that suited us. He navigated the trip through town and up to Etna expertly, and gave us plenty of info about the history, geology and mythology of the mountain while he drove, which was some impressive multi-tasking, considering the driving alone was a challenge. He got us neatly through ticket lines and onto the cable car for the trip to the top. The views from that level were amazing, and the landscape was lunar... it was windy, cold but not freezing, and bright, and we heard the sound of rocks crunching that Enzo told us later was a common sound of volcanic activity. After we came back down, he was waiting and then took us on a series of crater hikes all over the area, and a nice walk down below the tree line to show us the vegetation and a stone refuge house for hikers. Enzo really knows his stuff, his English is great he is multilingual, and he couldn't have been more generous with his time and his expertise. He put in a long day with us, and kept offering more opportunities of things to see and do. If you are a hiker or interested in natural history you should definitely ask for him. We had a great time!

Excellent half day stroll with Florence and Eduardo our French guides. They are lovers of their profession and they pass it on to us wonderfully. Never shy of explanations or changes of itinerary to accommodate a last minute physical problem. The Mama Etna excursion on their side was very pleasant and rich in discovery
It was a great experience, a wonderful place and a great guide, but you can't get 7 people in such a small SUV, and whose trunk door was broken.
Pick up and drop off in front of our accommodation Small hike around the craters Visit of a cave Tasting of local products
Our guide Enzo was a great guy. We had a great day. Picked up just in time for our B&B. Heard a lot of explanations and fun facts, had a nice tasting in the end. Then neatly dropped off in front of the B&B. Highly recommended to visit Mount Etna.
Beautiful excursion with our guide Francesco, you can feel all the passion he puts into doing his job. Walking on the craters was a wonderful experience.
Between walks around the craters, the explanations of the guide Giuseppe and the wine tasting I highly recommend to live this experience if you go to Catania!
Beautiful discovery accompanied by a guide who introduces you to specific places: lava corridors, glaciers and tells you the history, the formation of these beautiful Sicilian volcanoes. Essential specific outfit and good shoe. They also lend you equipment.
great trip! they came to pick us up at the hotel! beautiful landscapes! nice guide, in hand and prepared! recommended!
The super friendly guide, and professional, the beautiful site. However, I would have liked to climb to the top
To have taken the cable car and the bus to get to 2950 beautiful, but excluded the trekking on the summit craters, for which I had paid, it would be right to do the trekking then as an option climb up to the top since the cost is very high and you do not lose anything
Wonderful excursion. Our guide, Andrea, catapulted us into the wilderness and history of Etna with great competence and passion, making us live an unforgettable experience. Congratulations and thanks
Great tour operator! Team of guys available, courteous and very prepared. I have relied on them for at least 10 years, every time I manage to get off in Sicily I choose their trip... and when I did not find my destination on their menu they did their best to organize everything the same! What about... I recommend it indeed stra-council to discover the Sicilian wonders!
Well managed and interesting excursion, not too tiring and with great attention to the safety of the participants.
It was a wonderful hike because the places are beautiful and the trip was well organized. Simone very good, professional and punctual
A wonderful day spent with our guide, Filippo, a guy very passionate about his work and very expert for everything related to Etna, I recommend it!
Really, everyone! An incredible experience from visiting the craters, entering the lava caves to sweetening the palate with a fascinating honey harvested on a farm at the foot of the ETNA
The tour was excellent. I've seen a lot and gotten a lot of information. The guides looked after us well, chose the right pace, took enough breaks and gave us plenty of opportunity to take photos. Special praise goes to the tour organization that made my participation possible, although I could not get to the meeting point on the AST bus from Catania until 45 minutes after the official meeting time.
Great Service: From hotel pickup in Catania to the exquisite crater tour with explanations. Afterwards we visited a cave and visited an apiary. The price was absolutely reasonable for the overall package. We would love to do this tour again at any time.
From 24.09.2018 to 3.10.2018 Vacationed on the island of Sicily in Taormina. Hotel Isola Bella. Lovely hotel, responsive staff. Particularly enjoyed the excursion to the Etna volcano, thanks in large part to the excellent guide Natalia. The tour is at a very high professional level, a lot of educational information. I also want to note the beautiful human qualities of guide Natalia: responsiveness, attentiveness to customers, warmth of heart. Ilya and Svetlana
Absolutely not to be missed is at least one of the experiences with Etna Tribe. The inseparable bond between Catania and Idda, Etna tell and make it live with enthusiasm and passion. Thank you! For those who visit eastern Sicily: this type of experience can not be missed.
