Etna Helicopter Tour

Despite the clouds that prevented us from flying over the crater, the experience delighted us. Antonio took us around Mount Etna and what a magnificent and magnificent spectacle to discover from above all these lava flows and multiple secondary craters. it really allows us to take the measure of the entire volcanic area, a real plus compared to a hike, necessarily limited geographically. I can't recommend it enough.

Our contact by email (in French) was Antonio: he gave us all the information and information necessary to schedule / adjust our 20-minute flight from the heliport (a secure area at 600m altitude, on the north-facing slope). is 35 minutes by car from Giardini-Naxos where we had our hotel). We had booked the tour of Etna and the Aeolian Islands, well took us because Etna was Covered with clouds but the route was fairytale: the sky you discover the impressive lava flows, the perched villages, the coast, the Lipari Islands, Vulcano, Stromboli... The pilot turns in both directions around the most interesting sites so that everyone can have a better view and our guide gives even more meaning to the excursion with his explanations in French, his anecdotes and legends. Exchanges with Antonio, Etna 3340 were easy and numerous to prepare the activity. There were 5, a larger helicopter was booked. We were supposed to fly on Monday but two days before Antonio warned us that the weather conditions would be bad that day (thunderstorms) and we agreed on another day for the flight. A magical moment, for us the most significant experience of our stay.
