Etna Countryside Food & Wine Lovers Tour (Small Group Or Private)

From booking to the trip itself the whole experience was perfect. We got picked up at our hotel at 10am and taken through gorgeous villages and towns to the vineyard. Our tour shared the amazing history of Sicily and the volcano and kept us riveted with great stories and information. The vineyard on the greenbelt of Mt Etna was beautiful and we were treated to a tour of the wine making process and then to a sit down tasting session with the most amazing views of the country. The food and wine was incredible and the other couples were a delight to talk to. Following the vineyard tour and tasting we went a few minutes down the road to another where we had lunch and more wine. This had an original wine press still installed in the centre of the restaurant and it was really interesting to see. The scale was huge! Here we had more food and 'farmers wine' which was all incredible. Massively recommend this trip, its the main thing we wanted to do in Sicily and were absolutely not disappointed.

This tour was the highlight of our long weekend break on Sicily. Orazio was the perfect guide, telling us a lot of interesting things about the island, the language, the traditions, the connection between the people and the Etna during the drive. At the winery he handed us over to another guide who took us on a short walk along the vines and then into the cellar. Then came the tasting session - 3 lovely wines and incredible small plates to go with them, followed by a short drive to a restaurant where we were treated to more courses and more wines. Everything was delicious, we all had a great time - the perfect gastrotourism experience!

Not worth the price tag. Our driver was great, but you’ll only end up going to one winery worth visiting. I’ve taken other wine tours through Viator that allow you to go to two wineries. With this tour you only visit one, and then you go to lunch at a place that happens to have vineyards but you don’t learn anything about the wine or the food and the service is incredibly slow. Don’t waste your money, book your wine tours privately with actual vineyards.

Such a great guide and loved the information and locations. We were a group of 8 - it was a lucky mix of global strangers. Wine and food was top quality. I would definitely recommend the time and cost for this experience.

There were two parts. The first is a tour of a winery on the lower slopes of Mt Etna followed by a wine tasting with some small snacks. This was very well done and fits the tour description. The second was a lunch nearby. Neither the food nor wine were very interesting and weren’t discussed in any detail. The tour was six hours and the last few forgettable

We had a lovely trip, visiting a stunning vineyard on Etna with views of the volcano followed by a nice lunch and wine. Our only complaint would be we only went to one winery, it would have been nice to have gone to at least one more.

We had a great afternoon visiting a beautiful winery with nice appetizers and olive oil then we went on to a farm for more wine and lunch. The guide, Guisepe, was fantastic. He was very informative and gave us lots of information while we were in the van. We only had one other couple with us, so it was a nice small group of four people. They picked us up at a hotel next to ours as ours was difficult for the van to get to, it was a very convenient pick up for us.

Great day in the Sicilian countryside. The Costanzo vineyards were fantastic. Amazing wines. The tasting pours and accompanying snacks were very generous. We also thoroughly enjoyed the lunch that followed. We would absolutely book another tour with Sicily Adventures in the future.

What was not to love about this tour. Our guide Denise was top notch, very knowledgeable on the history of Sicily, Mt Etna, and of course the wine country. We were fortunate that Etna was erupting while we were there, which made for an exceptional back drop. The Gambino winery was fantastic, wine tasting was amazing, and the lunch location was the most incredible spot. You will be fed a lot of great food, which was great because you will also drink a lot of wine! The whole tour was rustic, authentic, and met every expectation you can think of. Highly recommended!

Antonio was an absolutely awesome guide with a wealth of knowledge. We had a comfortable ride to a beautiful vineyard with stunning views. There was great wine and food then lunch at a new (also beautiful) location after. Would 100% recommend and I never leave reviews!

We had a fantastic experience on this wine tour. First of all, Giovanni was a very knowledgeable guide with a great sense of humor. We were picked up and dropped off right in front of our hotel, which made everything very easy. You get to experience a true Sicilian vineyard and enjoy a wine tasting accompanied by delicious Italian antipasti. This is followed by lunch and more wine at another beautiful location. As a couple, we really enjoyed meeting people from around the world and spending the day with people we would never have met otherwise. The tour offers great value for money. Highly recommend!

We had Antonio as our guide and he was fantastic, from the beginning pick up to all the knowledge he had throughout the day. Gambino wines was a lovely wine tasting - very generous! And the beautiful lunch followed after was a perfect way to wrap up the day. If you are a wine fiend this is one to do!

We went as a couple and ended up meeting some wonderful people from the US and the UK. Our guide, Antonio, was incredibly knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. We had an incredible day on this tour - our guide, Carlos, was great and shared interesting information about Sicily on the drive to the wineries. The winery tour and tasting were brilliant and we then moved on to the next location for a delicious lunch and more wine. Our tour group was just 6 people which was the perfect amount - we were all laughing like old friends on the way back after plenty of wine! I’d definitely recommend this tour, especially with Carlos who was fantastic.

This was an incredible experience! Our tour guide, Giovanni, was an exceptional guide with a vast knowledge and a delightful sense of humor. The vineyard (Palmento Costanza) visited was probably the most beautiful vineyard I’ve ever been to followed by an amazing lunch at Da Antonio. We and the other couples were having so much fun that we didn’t want the experience to end! I highly recommend it.

Antonio made this experience absolutely unforgettable. From the moment we were picked up, he shared a beautiful narrative of Sicily’s history, culture, and landscape on the drive to Palmento Costanzo. The vineyard itself was stunning and impeccably maintained, and the wine tasting was excellent, paired with a delicious selection of cheeses. We ended the day with an authentic local lunch featuring an abundance of appetizers, pasta, and more wine. Antonio was truly exceptional. Highly, highly recommend.

This wine tasting touring was awesome. It was around a hour drive with beautiful views from Taormina where we were staying. Our tour guide, Orazio, was amazing. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience feel easy. Gave us great background on the area, the wine, and Mount Etna without making it feel like a lecture. The wineries were beautiful, the wine was incredible, and the views around Etna were unreal. Could not recommend this experience enough. If you’re in Sicily and enjoy a little bit of drinking, this is absolutely worth doing.

The ride from Taormina in the van was pleasant and took around an hour. Giovanni was amazing and shared so much information about Etna and the local area. The visit to the winery was very relaxed in a beautiful setting. Lunch at Antonio's was equally as relaxing. This was a small group tour with 8 of us. This is a perfect way to spend learning about Etna wines with a great meal and pleasant company. Thanks to Giovanni for making this a special day for my family.

Great trip to a small vineyard in the Etna countryside. Roads were good, not too twisty. The vineyard was beautiful and very tranquil. We had a short talk and guided tour of the vineyard followed by a wine tasting with some Sicilian snacks. Lunch was 10 minutes down the road in a country restaurant - Italian starters, followed by black pig pasta, lemon cake, coffee and wine of course! Big shout out to our guide Antonio who was both knowledgeable and friendly and spoke excellent English. Liked the small group of only 8 people too.

The vineyard was beautiful and we really enjoyed the wine tasting. Our lunch was in a nearby rural restaurant and was very enjoyable. There were 8 of us on the tour and we really enjoyed the company. A great day out. Would highly recommend.

It was a perfect experience. We were picked up right at our AirBnB by our tour guide for the day, Denise. She was very knowledgeable and us little tid bits of information on our way to the winery. The winery was in a beautiful setting and the sommelier there was very knowledgeable and gave us a short tour of their property and how they make their wine which was all delicious! The winery was followed by an organic lunch at a local restaurant which was delicious! Would definitely recommend.

This was a wonderful tour. Orazio was our driver. He was very informative as we drove around the countryside. At the winery, we were fortunate to be able to meet the female owner who happened to be on property that day, thanks to Orazio. I would highly recommend this experience.

The drivers/guides were amazing! Very knowledgeable on the history of Sicily, generous and kind, which made our day extra special. The winery was beautiful and wine and tasting was very nice. The restaurant offered new flavors and cuisine but the wine served was not very good. I suggest buying wine at the winery and bringing it to lunch if they will allow you to do so.

I did this tour with a group of friends on a port stop from a cruise and it was amazing. The winery had incredible mountain views, lunch was delicious and our tour guide, Carlos, was very accommodating to our big group. This tour was my most favorite wine tour. Was able to ship some wine back home.

What can I say! Best day of our trip, we went with another 6 people we’d never met and all I can say is ‘what a laugh’. 2 Brazilians, 2 Americans, 2 English and 2 Scottish, not forgetting lovely Orazio our guide, we visited the lovely vineyard Palmento Costanzo, tasted multiple wines and had some food as well, then visited another vineyard had more food and wine, we were all a bit merry! Was a great day with wonderful people!
