Fun, informative and delicious
It was a wonderful experience with excellent cooks. The food was phenomenal. Well worth it.
Very fun and straightforward cooking experience. We cooked with another couple and had a lovely time making a variety of Sicilian dishes. Highly recommend!
We had a great time learning how to cook some traditional Sicilian dishes with Chef Salerno and Carlos. It ended up being just my husband and I. They were very patient and helpful explaining each step of the process. We’d do this again!
This was so much fun. I learned a lot and the food we cooked was amazing.
We loved this! I was looking for a different experience for my husband and I while we visited Catania on our cruise. Chef Salerno and Marco guided us through the creation of a lovely lunch. We had a great time and would definitely recommend!
Great cooking class, nice hosts, and great food..
It's was great fun! I would encourage everyone go and enjoy this event!
Lovely host and people but we were looking for more of a cooking experience. Lots of prep but the actual cooking, stirring, plating up is done by the chef. I was really looking forward to making cannoli but in reality all you do is fill the cannoli. Nice kitchen and nice people but for that money I expected a little bit more.
Amazing experience, the chef is very knowledgeable and passionate! Would recommend!!
Really fantastic experience
Brilliant cooking class! Simona was a brilliant chef and host. She explained everything to us in detail and could tell she knew what she was talking about. The whole experience was 10/10. Highly recommend.
Simone our chef was extremely patient with all of learners of various levels of ability. Her instructions were easy to follow. We made bruschetta, gnocchi alla Norma, eggplant caponata, & Sicilian cannolo, all so delicious! Highly recommend this experience!

Simply a wonderful cooking class for entire family! We had such a great time!! They answered all our questions as we went and educated us on different ingredients, what to look for, and substitutions. We received all the recipes when it was over —- can’t wait to try at home!
Great class. Great food!! Thanks for a fun morning!
Very fun cooking experience with excellent company and food. Unlimited wine was a plus! Would definitely recommend. Get all recipes at the end!

This was a very professional and informative cooking class with lots of fun and food! The host and chef we incredibly kind and the small group allowed for an intimate and informal gathering. I highly recommend.
We had a great time making three types of pasta: ravioli, bow-tie and tagliatelle. The instructors were excellent and very knowledgeable.
Beginner friendly and so much fun. We learned how to make three different pasta dishes from scratch, with clear instructions and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend while in Catania.
Fantastic cooking class in a gourmet kitchen with Agatha things amazing simple techniques to produce this fantastic original Sicilian dish, gnocchi allá Norma! We also made cannolis and a wonderful capunato!
This was an amazing experience. Can’t recommend enough. Garcia the owner was so welcoming and accommodating. Vincenzo was so knowledgeable and informative regarding the food and cooking techniques. Good for all levels of cooking skills. was given all the recipes.
Such a fun and yummy experience. Highly recommend this group - also very grateful for 2 chefs who spoke english so we could fully understand.
Excellent experience. Chef was relaxed and taught us how to make a few authentic Sicilian dishes on our first visit here.
The class was educational, fun, and the perfect size! The food was absolutely amazing and we have been talking about it since we left. I would highly recommend!
This was a fun and great experience. I truly enjoyed it. And the food was delicious! Book it and go. The others that were there were fun and engaging. And let’s not forget the chef, she was magnificent!
We just got back from Taste My Sicily food school and couldn’t have been more pleased with our experience. This is the first cooking class my husband and I have ever taken. Sorprendente! Amazing! We were the only two who signed up for the class on this date and time. Great for us that the class was still offered and not cancelled. We felt right at home the moment we were greeted until the time we left. Both the owner and another chef (if only I could remember their names) guided us through four separate recipes with patience and expertise. They explained all the local dishes and ingredients during the prep period. The kitchen was clean and the ingredients were fresh. We got to enjoy the fruits of our labor afterwards, sitting down to enjoy our meal. We were stuffed and very satisfied. Wine is offered throughout and the meal was topped off either home made limoncello. Both chefs gave us an experience we will never forget. The owner couldn’t have been sweeter and even called a taxi for us to get back to the cruise port. Anyone looking for something to do in Catania or Sicily should experience this class.
Chef Simona was great. Loved our dishes and learned a few new tricks. Her English was good so no problem there. Of course she gives u a booklet with recipes for ev u made.
This "cooking class" took place at a storefront cooking school, which proved to be a one-room operation. Our class consisted of 17 individuals squeezed into a space with 4 workstations for those taking the class, and a separate area for the instructors/chefs. There was barely room to turn around, and collisions between participants were frequent. The space became uncomfortably warm because although the AC was on, it was not adequate for the space. We were told that we would be making two different pasta dishes, bruschetta, caponata and cannoli. The only part of the class where we actually did anything was making the pasta. We were provided with pre-measured water and semolina flour, mixed them together, and rolled them out. We were then shown how to roll pinches of dough on the back of a fork to make cavatelli, or to pinch squares of pasta to make pappardelle. This was the only modestly informative part of the class, and after the initial instructions no feedback or help was provided (some in the class clearly had little cooking experience and were struggling). After we had made our pasta, it was removed to be cooked by the chef. We were then given pieces of toasted bread and a pre-made topping of tomatoes, oil and herbs, and told to spread the topping on the bread. That was all we learned about making bruschetta. Then we watched the chef make caponata (again, no measuring of ingredients, just dumping a pile that had already been prepared previously), fry eggplant for pasta alla Norma, and make pesto. We didn't actually do anything here, and few tips were provided about how to prepare the ingredients or cook them properly. This is a cooking class? Finally, we were given pre-made cannoli shells, pastry bags pre-filled with ricotta, and told to fill the shells. That was all we learned about making cannoli. At the end, we were given plastic plates, plastic utensils, plastic cups for a little wine, and ate what had been prepared for us at our workstations. Although the recipes for the dishes that were made were handed to us when we left, I don't think any of us left much the wiser than when we came. We were in and out in about 2.5 hours. For comparison, I participated in a cooking class in Palermo that was a completely different experience, starting with the chef inquiring what dishes the 7 participants wanted to make, going to the market to pick out ingredients, and then step-by-step, hands-on instructions on how to prepare the 6 different dishes that we had chosen to make. We were in a proper demonstration kitchen with individual workstations in the chef's own apartment, and everyone performed all of the steps involved themselves, with the chef providing a stream of informative tips and suggestions, and feedback on our technique. Wine was poured liberally throughout. At the end, we sat down at a dining room table set with proper china, utensils and wine glasses to eat our meal together. We had made arancine, pasta alla Norma, eggplant rollatini, pasta with red shrimp and pistacchio, squid stuffed with breadcrumbs pine nuts and raisins, and cannoli, all from scratch (except for the pasta, which was commercial). The experience lasted for 5 hours. The price? Exactly the same as the Catania "class". Don't waste your money or your time here. There are far better options out there.
