It is good because of flexibility in scheduling days and times. The GPS is helpful. The audio should be presented n a more interesting way . We read it instead.

Itinerary
Ursino Castle, whose name is still uncertain, is located in the center of a large square named after the Holy Roman Emperor and King of Sicily, Frederick II of Swabia. Initially, the building stood very close to the sea, surrounded by a moat and protected by several defensive structures. The external wall was built with well-squared and regularly arranged lava stone ashlars, while the second, more internal, wall was much more irregular.
The “Pescheria” of Catania is the famous fish market of the city, located in the heart of the historic center, near Piazza del Duomo and the Fontana dell’Amenano. It is commonly called by the people of Catania “Piscarìa”, a term that comes from the Sicilian dialect.
Fontana dell’Amenano was created in 1867 by the Neapolitan sculptor Tito Angelini in Carrara marble. This fountain is dedicated to the Amenano, the underground river that flows under the city of Etna.
Piazza del Duomo is the beating heart of Catania, located in the historic center of the city. This charming square is home to some of the city’s most iconic monuments, including the majestic Cathedral of Sant’Agata, dedicated to the city’s patron saint.
Catania Cathedral, officially known as the Cathedral of Sant’Agata, is an important example of Baroque architecture. Built in 1090 on the remains of an ancient Roman temple dedicated to Jupiter, the cathedral was later rebuilt after the earthquake of 1693, which destroyed much of the city.
Piazza Università takes its name from the Palazzo degli Studi, also known as Palazzo Università. One of the distinctive elements of this square are the four bronze lampposts placed at its corners, which represent figures from popular Catania legends: the young Gammazita, the sailor Cola Pesce with his underwater skills, the brothers Anfinomo and Anapia, and the legendary Catania paladin Uzeta.
Beneath Piazza Stesicoro lies an ancient Roman theatre, dating back to the 1st century BC. This precious archaeological site has been submerged over the centuries by several eruptions of Etna and, as you might imagine, seismic events. We are not going to enter but you can visit it by yourself if you want!
Crociferi Street is one of the oldest and most evocative streets in Catania, located in the heart of the historic center. This road, renowned for its extraordinary beauty, is often chosen as a set for films, thanks to its cinematic charm.
The Benedictine Monastery of San Nicolò l’Arena in Catania has been a fundamental point of reference in the history of the city, especially in the eighteenth century, thanks to its grandeur, the richness of its rooms and the noble origins of the monks who lived there.

Worth the money, great guide. If you want to get lost in the city and explore independently this is the guide for you. The only thing that annoyed me was wrong pronunciation of names. Everything else amazing.
A really informative guide that took us to some fabulous places we wouldn’t otherwise have visited. The narrative was informative and interesting, a really lovely walk. The church next to the monastery at the finish has a fabulous rooftop views and the amphitheater nearby was also spectacular.
It was my first time I bought an audioguide and the experience has been wonderful. It gave us the flexibility to hear the passages either following the established order or on per own one. I really recommend it!

Totally enjoyed my self guided walking tour. It was so easy to open the tour and follow the prompts. Information was provided for each point of interest in both written and audio form and was always interesting. I was given the option to use the tour over several days. And, I took advantage of that spreading it over 2 days so I could take my time and make little gelato stops along the way.
It was new and excelent experience
I really enjoyed my walking tour of Catania. The app is easy to use. I liked that I could both listen and read because I lost internet access a couple of times. I am impressed with the number of interesting sites covered, and the detail. I did not have a lot of time to spend in Catania so the flexibility of a self guided tour was great.
I was unable to access the link. However, I was able to use the internery to navigate through it on my own. The link is not clickable or copy able, so I just didn't use it. It was disappointing
The routing and the content were generally good, and the link between Google maps and the tour guide worked well. The commentary seemed like each station was written entirely independently of each other leading to quite a lot of repetition. The English audio version uses an AI American voice similar to Google maps, with truly terrible pronunciation of local place names... this is lazy and inexcusable, very grating!
Really enjoyed this walking tour and being able to do it at my own pace and the added extras were a bonus. It was definitely worth the money. Brilliant value.
The app was easy to use and gave a lot of great information.
I did not fully understand what was suppose to happen, I thought I was getting a tour by a local. When I found out I was suppose to get some audio. I had to reach out to ask a question, I never got the audio. However, me and my friend had a great day on our own. Sorry I spend money on this one.
Great, we felt like we saw most of what catania jas to offer. We saw parts that we wouldn’t have if investigating by ourselves
This was a well thought out and interesting tour of Catania. All the main sights were included with the hard work being done for you, all the information seemed up to date and accurate.
Easy to use and lots of information, probably too much information! Would have been better if there was just a few short sentences to summarise what we were looking at with the option to read more at a later date. Was skim reading at some points as we were starting to run out of time. However would definitely use again
This was my second of these self guided tours and was not disappointed. Very thorough and easy to understand. My new favorite way of exploring the main sites in a city.
The Tour Guide kept in touch with ya the entire trip pre and post. Instructions were easy. As long as you have the Internet .. . The audio worked well. They were not long and drawn bout and you only have to click for the area you are In
The information was well presented. As a solo traveler I liked that I could go at my own pace. I would allow the tour to start at a more central point. In order to arrive at the starting point I had already walked through most of the areas.
I think the walking tour should start in a more central location. I had walked past 50% of the tour to arrive at the starting point. So I ended up retracing most of it. The information however was very well presented
This is a really nice and inexpensive way to see the sites of these small cities. Listen to the history of each place the night before and if you use google maps to get back to your starting point it’s a perfect way to see what you’d like. Go at your own pace.
Easy to do as it’s at your own pace & time. Very informative using your own phone. Excellent value for money. I think it’s better than having a guide
Nice comprehensive tour around Catania telling you history and legends about the most important corners of the city. Sadly, all the audio guide recordings were made with an AI voice. I'd prefer a real person tell it, even if with an Italian accent. The AI voice sounds like people put little effort in making the tour (which is not the case based on the information presented!). Moreover using AI for such guide is not morally correct, as it's taking one job away from a local.
Nice little guide to walk around the city at your own pace. Good bit of information on each site, not loads but for a small cost it's worth it, and like all tours you get a taste of what you want to come back to. The panor view is definitely a highlight.
Nice and relaxed way to walk and see the city of Catania. Cost is very economical. Self guided allowed us to stop when we wanted and skip a location when we wanted.
We enjoyed the audio descriptions as we walked the town. It allowed us to set our own schedule throughout the day. So we could see the sites, get a bite or drink, visit a restroom at our own pace. And at a very reasonable price!!!
The guide was helpful when we couldn’t download the information, he came back to us very quickly which was great. The tour itself was very haphazard. We seemed to double back on ourselves too much and there was no direction as to where to go. We were trying to look up how to get to the next destination and seemed to go over the same areas.we missed a couple in the end ! I think it would be a good help if he actually offered directions to the Next place of interest. It was all very informative and it was good to have the pictures and written guide as well.
Easy to download and follow this tour. Interesting insights about the city. Learned about the history and the culture.
A great walking tour with very clear instructions & information. It was lovely to be able to take our time & stop when we wanted to explore some areas a little further or have refreshments.
Very professional, easy to follow. A very efficient way to see Catania’s historic area. The ability to start and stop provides flexibility to customize the pace and routing to make any deviations you desire. I wish this type of audio guide were available in many of the other cities we visit. I highly recommend this guide.
This walking tour is the absolute perfect way to experience the highlights of Catania. The tour was easy to use, English was extremely clear, perfect navigation to the different sites, great explanations. So informative. I wish this type of walking tour were available in all the cities we visit. We loved that we could start and stop at our pleasure, and progress at our own pace. The combination of written and audio guides really complimented each other. Extremely professional. I highly recommend this tour
Good way to explore a new city. Interesting facts that make you understand the history and appreciate the culture more. Liked the flexibility of the tour!
I never went on the tour because I never received the details on how to dowload the self guided tour. I would like to be reimbursed
The tour was really great! It gave me the possibility to do everything in my speed. At the same time, the quality of the tour was very high! Highly recommend!
We did the tour of Catania and enjoyed a lot! It’s really well done, good content. We totally recommend it.
This guide was incredibly helpful for exploring Catania at my own pace. It highlighted all the important landmarks and must-visit spots, making my trip much more enjoyable. The recommendations on restaurants were particularly valuable, offering great dining options throughout the city. Overall, it’s a very useful resource for anyone visiting Catania!
Super relaxed self-guided tour through Catania. After I simply entered the code online, I was able to explore the city at my own pace. The various stations are super easy to find via Google Maps links and the information texts provide a deeper insight into the history of Catania. Absolute recommendation!
At first it is a bit difficult, especially if you are not very skilled in the digital world, but once you get in it is very simple.
Practical, easy to use, intuitive, and very complete
Well-made guide, it pleasantly accompanies you in discovering Catania. So many interesting explanations!
Went fine, good experience to be helped through the city's sights. Otherwise we weren't that far around.
We were skeptical at first about how this would work, but were thrilled at the end. It all worked out great from the start. Clear and understandable explanations of the respective objects were given. Then one was directed to Google Maps via a button, which then led me to a suggested route to the next landmark. But I found the best and special banger: you could also interrupt this path and go to dinner, or take another road, you were always included in the program and led to the sight. I would also like to point out that you could have the explanations read out as often as you wanted if you had not understood something correctly. For this you just had to push the player back and so you could hear it again. Personally, I found that much better than the guided tour with a guide in person. So all in all I found it a successful app and can only highly recommend this type of viewing. But I still have a small improvement suggestion: That one would give recommendations for the parking garages which in the middle or beginning or end. Then it would be the icing on the cake for me. But... and I would like to mention this, I had also given the question about the parking garages to the organizer via WhatsApp about the ticket load. For this I did not get as needed or desired immediately, but later. We had already found a parking garage ourselves. What I would like to mention, however, is that it really responded to my request. This shows me that the service is not only superficial, but also practiced. One more recommendation from me: The garage Siesicoro in VIA Gambino 25 I would recommend the parking garage is super clean and very tidy staff. You have to hand over the car key because the car is parked by the staff, but when we wanted to pick up our convertible unannounced, we saw how neatly our car was parked and it was handed over to us again. So for me also all the stars to recommend. And.... you can also experience a huge market at the same time if you go to the 2 corners.
Nice experience, very helpful
Interesting and well done guide to have a basic flouring of everything! Very satisfied I have already taken another
Very nice guide with walking tour of Matteo we saw and heard all the main places of Catania, the advice
Audio didn't work. I had to read everything. We bought for 2 people but I let out loud. So money wasted on second person
A nice summary of all the important sights with historical backgrounds to hear or read. Via the links you will be taken directly there
Good and detailed. 1 point deduction for the boring, unemotional narrative. That's better. With a little humor you also have more fun listening.
Here is a nice way to discover a city when there is no Guide available. For an affordable price for everyone, and using the phone we all have in our pockets, you can tour the city at your own pace by listening to information in Italian, English and Spanish. If you feel like stopping for a coffee, or a break, no problem, the tour will suit you and you can pick up whenever and wherever you want. Same if you want to skip a stage of the route. In addition to all this information and details about the city, you will find plenty of directions to eat, visit and get around at its best. For each stage of the route a direct Google Maps link is available making it impossible to get lost during the ride. For each palace/church/point of interest you will also find information for access to the monument, and tickets. This tour with this format was a beautiful discovery for us that I would have liked to know before.
