Fun, beautiful, clear water, great to see views of Ortigia from the water. Couple of stops to swim. Tour guide was knowledgeable and enjoyable. Would do it again.

Excellent experience that completed exceeded our expectations! Tour of the caves and island with 3 swim spots in beautiful locations Our guide was helpful and shared lots of interesting history as we explored
Very nice and informativ skipper. And he was funny as well. I was a bit dissapointed when we couldnt swim in the caves, but due too our own Security this were for the best after all . Bring a snorkel, its well worth it!
I chose to go with this particular excursion due to the fact it was listed for 2.5 hours, provided towels, served Prosecco and a fruit tray. Just wanted a little nicer excursion compared to some of the other companies. The actual excursion was only two hours .5 was waiting and walking to the boat. No towels no Prosecco no fruit tray. Not sure who’s responsible for the false advertisement. Other than that, it was a nice day on the water.
It was a really nice trip! The skipper took his time and dropped us off near the hotel. Nice vibe and beautiful scenery of course
We liked everything except we did not snorkel because there wasn’t enough masks and snorkels for everyone which we were about 12 First time this happens to is
Our Captain Federico was fantastic. Great sense of humour and considerate to everyone on board. The boat was spacious, comfortable and modern, including cream swabs on the front to lie on. There was only five people on board , so we felt very fortunate . We had lots of time for swimming , rock jumping and snorkelling, including one cove that had no other boats in sight . The prosecco and music was a lovely touch on our return journey. Great communication prior, including recommendation for carparking . Highly recommend .
Maybe I ended up on the wrong boat? There was no snorkeling masks, no prosecco and no guide giving information. It was a nice trip anyway but not worth the money. I honestly think it was a different trip then the one I booked.
Syracuse Boat Tours has an awesome Sunset Cruise and BBQ Dinner Cruise. The atmosphere was great - which makes for an enjoyable experience. The Staff was entertaining, and the length of each cruise was perfect. The sunset cruise was especially enjoyable because it was a perfect night. The admission fee/cost of cruise was reasonable. We definitely recommend either of these tours for a fun time cruising on the Seneca River.
The captain handled the caves expertly he played music fitting for the occasion. The swim was refreshing. We totally loved the experience.
A couple of hours out on the boat looking at caves was fun. It was disappointing that the snorkeling section, there were no snorkels, only masks.
This boat tour was such a fun experience! We got to check out some really cool grotte, and the views along the way were absolutely beautiful – clear blue water and just amazing scenery all around. We got to hear the story behind the amazing buildings we saw, too. They offered us some Prosecco on board, which was a nice little bonus and made the whole thing feel extra chill. We also had some time to stop and swim. Overall, it was a great mix of relaxing, exploring, and enjoying the sea. Totally recommend it if you’re looking for a fun way to spend a couple of hours doing something different.
Captain and skipper proffesional. Also office staff is welcoming. Captain's singing and Italian songs were a nice touch. Captain let steer who ever wanted for a brief moment. Masks are available. Also great stories about the places we visited. I loved that boat was not croaded and we had shade from sun. Caves wwas good to see. Stopped for swimming two times. Due to big waves moved to safe spot. Top notch service. Meeting point is not in Ortiga, but as we were coming from train station it was on our way. Boat departs from across the Palace hotel. It is allowed to take some snacks with you, we were glad that we did. Just a note - take your own tube for snorkeling as it is not provided for hygienic reasons. Going under the bridge was also fun. Itenary as described.
We only had 20 min of swimming and no snorkeling equipment was supplied. Staff were friendly and boat was nice.
We went on the 2 hour boat trip, with snorkeling and prosecco. We booked last minute and they couldn't do more to accommodate us. Very friendly and fun. The trip itself was amazing...beautiful day, clear waters. The skipper was good fun and Vincenzo was able to translate for us! We would definitely recommend!
I signed up for this tour for my 86 year old mother. She enjoyed it. Her only comments were that the guide's english was not great, however she sat next to a German who explained stuff to her. Overall positive. Remember to bring water to drink
The boat operator was very nice but often absorbed with his cell phone. We were not provided with goggles to snorkel unfortunately _which was the reason for the boat tour. I would not recommend.
While the tour itself was good, it was supposed to be with an English speaking guide, but our guide didn’t speak a word of English so we didn’t understand anything that he was saying when he pointed out landmarks, etc.
Although the caves and views were great I would only do the shorter 1 hour tour. Token ( plastic cup) of spritzer and no snorkelling
An amazing experience! We had the best time on our boat tour with our fearless captain Enzo! The scenery of ortegia from the water was incredible. Good historical facts about the area and ancient buildings. But the caves... that was the best part. Going in and out of these small caves was a totally unique experience and so much fun. This is a must if visiting Ortegia.
While the scenery was very nice, we were disappointed that the boat captain spoke no English and could not explain anything we were seeing. Also, the tour was advertised as a snorkel trip and only had a few masks but no snorkel
We had the best time swimming and snorkeling. The Prosecco was very nice and our guide was just fabulous! I will recommend this tour to family and friends.
We went on our honeymoon to Sicily we saw this trip through Viator and were NOT disappointed. It was easy to meet everyone and a short talk to the boat. Our captain was SO FUN! We danced and sang and got to swim longer than expected. We had a nice Prosecco toast to finish off. Gorgeous sights that you will never forget and you must do this while in Syracuse or nearby. Worth every penny!
Fun tour ! A must do! The snorkeling was soo much fun . The boat operator was very sweet and knowledgeable.
Tour of Sicily agency was excellent great communication and friendly. They had to cut off the pillirina part due to weather but refunded part of cost My only issue was there were not snorkels provided only masks and the reason I picked this excursion was because it offered snorkeling
Boat was not comfortable and quite old. Driver did not speak English. We didn’t have snorkeling equipment except what looked like child’s masks which you could not see out of. There was one bottle of Prosecco for 12 people and no water. We were told to meet very far from the boat only to have to circle back. We got lost and were 15 minutes late. Not worth the money. The boat driver didn’t tell us anything about what we were seeing along the coast or the caves.
Overall a very nice boat trip with very friendly skipper, great views at Ortigia and its surround areas as well as a few caves (you don't go in deep though), and a great swim stop.
It was everything we expected and it’s a nice tour, I definitely recommend it. The boat captain was very friendly. The boat isn’t luxurious but it’s comfortable and worth the price.
Fantastic in all aspects. Family of four with an 8 year old and 17 year old and everyone loved the trip. We could have stayed longer:) 10 out of 10
Really enjoyed our boat trip with Marco. The caves were beautiful and we had plenty of time for swimming in 2 locations. The sea is so clear to swim in and there are lots of sights to see.
We booked this trip with 3 small children and had a nice boat trip around the island and the caves of Syracuse. Had a nice swim at one of the caves. Captain Marco was well willing to tell interesting details about the buildings and other monuments. Recommended 5/5
A magical experience exploring the sea caves and swimming and snorkling in the beautiful waters off Syracuse. Skipper Steven was passionate about the area and kept us well informed. The small group of 10 meant we had plenty of room on the boat. Loved his choice of music too!
Wonderful experience, thankyou to our guide Gaetano. The water was amazing to swim in and conditions perfect.
Boat experience was great. A small number of people onboard (10) . Had time to swim although snorkelling only with a mask and not much to see underwater. Travelled the extent of the island. Commentary by the captain was good.
The boat ride was nice, it would have been great if the guide shared some history and information about Siracusa and the landmarks that we were seeing or the caves that he masterfully navigated. The snorkeling wasn't that great because there wasn't much sea life to observe. The fruit was a bowl of grapes and pears and one bottle of prosecco for the group.
Stephan the Captain was great. However, there was no snorkeling or swimming in the caves as the picture/description on the site described.
Superb excursion! We had a blast and the boat operator was so much fun. I loved that the group size was not too big
Great experience . We loved it .. We did the sunset trip for 2 hours and a had a great swim and a great apéro with a great Prosecco on board 👌🏽. I recommend that truly
had we not taking this boat tour we would not have had the opportunity of seeing the caves and the stalactites. The captain of our boat was a good ambassador for the area .
We had a excellent excursion and a captain Steven did a amazing job and even let my kids steer the boat. He was a funny individual and he even named the caves one of them was named after a superhero. He told stories about the places and it was quite the experience
Beautiful coast and sea caves! Comfortable boat with very nice staff and music. We stopped to swim in beautiful crystal clear water. When we got back onboard there was a nice surprise: prosecco and fresh fruit for everyone! It has been a great experience from reception to return! Highly recommended!!!
Love to snorkel! Not a traditional snorkel trip. You get a mask or goggles and not an actual snorkel. It’s basically a boat trip with Prosecco.
Although the boat ride was pleasant the trip was advertised to be for sea caves and snorkeling, the boat did not have enough masks for everyone on board ( maybe half the 18 people on board) and no snorkels! So really just a swim and cave ride. A little disappointing.
Stephen was an excellent guide. He described key sites very well and navigated the boat flawlessly in the caves. Swimming was a highlight.
The tour was a great experience from start to finish. The staff in the office were friendly and got the tour started right on time. Captain Stephen was great - very knowledgeable about Siracusa and the surrounding areas. He also brought along fresh fruit from his garden which was delicious. Unfortunately, due to strong winds and rough waves, we were unable to go into the sea caves on our tour. However, we were still able to get close enough to take pictures and saw a lot of Siracusa as well. We also stopped briefly to swim. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Siracusa.
My husband, pregnant daughter and I enjoyed every part of the sunset cruise… the caves, the views of the city, was very educational seeing the mussel and oyster farm… was surreal to see the pink flamingos flying over… the snacks were delicious and the boat captain went out of his wait to ensure everyone had a good time … he also played the best mood music
We ended up being the only couple on the tour but Enzo was great showing us around the island and letting us swim even though it was a bit cold. Had a great time
What a fantastic experience jolanda organised for my family We rented a boat to drive our ourselves and we had such a great time we toured the sea caves and stopped for snorkelling at several great spots Don’t worry if you haven’t driven a boat before everything was explained Thanks again
What a remarkable excursion! Stephen was an exceptional captain and guide who made us all feel welcome. The artesian coastline is magnificent especially when seen from the sea. We toured a number of exquisite caves, which he thoughtfully made sure we all had enough time to capture that perfect photo! After touring the coast line, Steven dropped anchor near the fortress walls so we could enjoy a leisurely swim. The scenery throughout the trip was exceptional and it gave us a vantage point of this precious island that was truly memorable The boat itself was immaculate and provided a safe and spacious environment. At the conclusion of our swim we enjoyed fresh fruit from his garden, cookies and Prosecco. Stephen was truly the perfect host. I highly recommend this excursion for anyone of any age or interest.
Fun and informative. The the captain and his assistant were very sweet we were with another couple and a family with two young children. They gave us fruit and Prosecco and stopped so we could swim
