Boat Excursion To Ortigia With Typical Homemade Lunch

Franco was a great guide, knowledgeable & friendly. Very good food. Took us to a cave for a swim. Lots of fun.

The trip was amazing. Fantastic skipper and guide Franco. Great scenes and experiences. Manager of the tour company Steno was most helpful, a real professional. However, not sure how Viatour gets involved but it is the scond time on this trip that Viatour has directed us to the wrong meeting point, quite some distance away from the correct one. If I can avoid Viatour in any future tour booking I will try to do so.

I booked the excursion for my parents and was not actually there. They had a great time and Stefano was reactive and friendly !

Worst of the worst. We were the only ones on the tour. Maybe that is why they didn’t make too much of an effort. First thing: There was no typical “home made” lunch , I think we all know what the word “ lunch” means. There was a plate of previously “bought” starters (cheese, sausage, something that seemed like algae and pieces of tomatoes and potatoes that were almost melting in the sun and swiming in oil). So no very inviting food. We realised we will have to have a “lunch” after the activity because this can barely be called so. If you look for this kind of trips here in trip advisor you can see the difference of price when they offer an “appetitive” than When they offer “ lunch”, so we feel a little scammed about this, since we paid one price and we received less. Second thing: They offered to swim in the middle Of the trip in open sea…not a nice spot or anything. Just like any spot on the sea Third thing: The trip ended in 1 hour. So basically 70€ for 1 hour around the island with no food, only water ( because since we are allergic to wine and that was the only thing they offered.. no coke or something else)…that is what you get

This was a great choice during a hot day. Fantastic boat trip, caves, lunch, drinks and great swim in the sea. Boat had a roof against sun 👏🏻 Skippers were great. We enjoyed it and recommend!

We chose, much to our regret, the 4-hour tour with lunch on board. It was a terrible experience, the boat was old and poorly maintained, I breathed exhaust fumes for 4 hours, the homemade lunch included pasta with tomato sauce, as an appetizer 3 types of cold cuts and 3 cheeses from the supermarket. No homemade food and not even a shadow of fish. All this for the modest sum of 90. Terrible experience, the worst money spent.

Yesterday we took a 4-hour boat tour in Ortigia, we went to see the caves and made stops to swim; we were a group of 4 friends, and it was simply perfect. The lunch on board was delicious, but the real added value was the staff: wonderful, super helpful, and attentive to every detail, especially Mr. Mario, who made us feel pampered from start to finish. Highly recommended if you want to experience Ortigia from the sea at its best!

Wonderful tour, welcoming and caring land staff, the ship's staff Captain Roberto and his assistant Nino real sea wolves, made us feel safe and pampered, precise and interesting explanations, beautiful legend of the pillirina, visit to the caves, several baths in the crystal clear waters of the Syracusan coast and stop in front of the Maniace castle for lunch really suggestive and hearty and quality lunch. Experience definitely to be repeated if we return to Syracuse
