Best Shore Excursion Etna, Taormina, Messina With Tasting Of Sicilian Products

Sonia and Filippo were absolutely amazing. Very knowledgeable of the area and we had some good laughs with them. I 100% recommend this tour.

Sonia was such a great tour guide! The tour was really well organized and felt we had time in both Mount Etna and Taormina to explore without feeling rushed (although we could have stayed in Taormina much longer!!). Mount Etna was beautiful as well as Taormina. Sonia gave us really great recommendations of where to have lunch and key places to see. Her instructions on pickup where easy to follow and when our kids got sidetracked by gelato she even came to find us 🤣 we were a party of twelve in multiple vans and the process was easy from start to finish. Highly recommend.

Transportation was great and we had a very knowledgeable tour guide. My husband and I are from the United States and this was our second visit to Sicily. Such a beautiful place! I highly recommend taking this tour for the personalized experience.

What an amazing experience with an equally amazing guide and driver. Erika was a brilliant, knowledgeable and extremely kind person. Our trip was Mount Etna and Taormina with a tasting experience. Erika sorted the tickets for us for the cable car up Etna as we had young people with special needs with us. She was very informative about Etna and then the driver, who happened to be her dad, drove us to some fantastic viewing points of Taormina. All in all we had a great day and was very impressed with the service we received. Thank you Erika.

This was the most amazing tour of Messina! I cannot recommend this excursion more. Serena was our tour guide and she was an expert in all things Sicily. She was kind, funny, and very informative. We spent the day going to Mount Etna, Islobella and then lunch in Taormina. This was incredible! A must if you are heading to Sicily!!

Had a wonderful day on our tour with Fillipo and guide Sonia. We went to Mt. Etna and walked around the Silvestri craters. Then to Taormina where we had free time to walk the main street Corso Umberto and look at many shops. We ate a delicious cannoli and Gelato. Just breathe taking view from Piazza 9th of Aprile. Had a lovely lunch there at a local resturant suggested by Fillipo. Then got to see the beautiful view of the Strait of Messina and the amazing Duomo of Messina. 

This was an amazing tour! We drove to Mt. Etna and walked around and into a dormant volcanic crater, then went to Taormina and had a nice lunch and visited (not included in the tour) the Teatro Antico (buy tickets in advance so you don't have to stand in a long line) , and then into Messina for the most delicious cannoli. Lillo was a very good driver, so knowledgeable, pleasant to communicate with, and had lots of history to share with us! I highly recommend!

Beautiful experience. First of all we went up on Etna to see the lava flows and walk up on the craters. Obviously it's a lot of things to see and we had to run, but Filippo (our awesome driver) gave us the perfect timing to do everything. After Etna we went to Taormina, we visited the town...he drove us along the coastline and we tested finally the famous sicilian granita. On the way back he found the time to show us the highlights of Messina too. We're glad to met Filippo, without him we couldn't have such a beautiful experience. Highly recommend !

We had a fabulous time with Sonia as our guide and Francesco as our driver. It’s the way to do Sicily in one day if you’re on a cruise ship. Don’t get caught up with the exorbitantly priced cruise ship excursions where they put you on a bus. This is the way to do it. You can customize your own itinerary Exactly as you want it. We even stopped at the Biondi winery, which I found online and had a lovely experience. Five stars. Sonia and Francesco are top notch.

The trip to savoca was amazing, to follow in the footsteps of the godfather film and sit in his chair. It was like reliving the film, and made all the better by the wonderful guide Sonia, who is American, with Sicilian roots. We then went to Taormina, wow! Shop til you drop! With stunning views of Etna and a jaw dropping Greek theathre. Off up to Castemola, how hilarious, bar Turissi, with its phallic cocktails, made all the more hilarious by Sonia's amusing comments! Then, to finish off the surprising port of Messina. The views from Christo Re of the Straits of Messina and Italy were awesome! Likewise, the informative history from Sonia. To finish off, the cathedral with the world's largest astronomical clock, not to be missed. well worth the money, I would highly recommend this tour!

This is one of the best tours we had during our 8 night cruise with odyssey of the sea in Aug 2023. We have a family of 6 (2 adults, 2 kids and 2 seniors), really cannot ask more. Everything is beyond our expectation. When we get off the ship which is earlier than scheduled meeting time, the guide, driver and car are already there to greet us. The first stop is Etna, it’s magnificent, we were able to take the cable car up to the top which definitely worth it. My younger son is a little fussy and tired but the surprise gift from the guide cheered him up :) then we got time with a beautiful stop along the coast to take pictures and spend some family time in the nice little town. The whole journey is well planned and pretty flexible if we want to stay longer or change any stops. The guide is knowledgeable and even very good on taking nice family photos for us! The car is clean and comfortable. Highly recommended this trip!

Lillo was an amazing tour guide. He is an excellent and safe driver. He went above and beyond to make our tour special. We were able to see Etna and he took us to other special locations that were absolutely gorgeous. The food and the wine that we tried were simply delicious. His knowledge of the history is extremely impressive. I will recommend Lillo and this tour to anyone I know is coming to Taormina.

The tour we received did not cover most of the items from the tour description on Viator website (see below for summary), so this misrepresentation is very disappointing. We contacted Viator to no avail. We will be disputing this charge with our credit card company immediately. We stayed for a day in Sicily while we were cruising the Med. we decided to take this tour as our guide was very friendly the bus was immaculate with air con and fillipo our tour guide was so friendly easy to talk to and explained all about the amazing places we visited I would highly recommend taking a tour with him and will go back to do it all again. We booked a private 6 hour tour with SICILY BEST TOUR and it was a wonderful time!!! We had a party of 6 in our group all traveling together and they promptly picked us up at our cruise port in a comfortable new van! We headed to Mt. Etna first with a great pit stop at a local honey store where we tested wines, olive oils and honey made in this region. Then we trekked up mountain to a popular stopping point near the peak of Etna called silvestri crater. Divine panaromic pictures. We then were given wonderful pastries by Fillipo and Angela was very informative about the island as we drove along the different towns. We ended our tour In Taormina with street shopping and some local eats. All in all a wonderful trip for a group rather than dealing with the masses on a large bus tour

We arrived at the Port of Messina where Filippo and Ketty our guide came to pick us up. We had a great day, rich culture and we took full eyes. Children 17 and 8 years old were amazed by the landscapes. We went to taste local products then Etna. We continued with the visit of Taormina and ended with Messina with a good tasting of Cannolo. We advise you Filippo to close your eyes and thank you again to Ketty for her culture and all the information she brought us.
