Authentic Sicilian Cooking Class In Palermo

Francesca was phenomenal and I was able to communicate with her prior to the Cooking Class. She even suggested a taxi driver to pick us up from our cruise ship. She was so accommodating and such a pleasure to work with, and we absolutely loved our whole Cooking experience with her. our three pasta dishes that we made were phenomenal.. This was our best meal in Italy.!!

My family had a wonderful time cooking with Francesca. The majority of the ingredients came directly from her garden, super fresh and tasty. We made pasta from scratch, forming it into three different shapes. We then made three different sauces, each one very delicious. We then enjoyed the fruits of our labor, accompanied by local wine. Francesca was very patient and helpful with my 11 year old grandson, who ate the most pasta of all. Great family experience!

It was a fun and educational experience. Francesca was a good teacher and made it a fun day. The pasta dishes were delicious. We will definitely try them at home

Francesca was a lovely host who had incredible knowledge to share with us and made us feel very welcome and comfortable. We enjoyed making handmade pasta and cooking sauces using only fresh ingredients from her garden. The class was personal and informative, a perfect opportunity to learn about Sicilian food.

Pasta making with Francesca was absolutely lovely! She taught us 3 different pastas and sauces, at a good pace that kept everyone engaged and enjoying the class. We really did cook it all ourselves, and then we ate it all! Everything was fantastic. We brought the leftovers home and had it again for dinner the next day. Our group was age 7 to 50+ and we all had a great time.

Francesca is very friendly and humourous. She made the group instantly feel at ease and she is specifically good with children - there were two families as well as three extra adults in the group. We enjoyed learning all sorts of tricks and titbits about Sicilian cooking and made 3 different pasta dishes as well as 3 different sauces. It was excellent fun and the food was delicious. Î recommend this course to all interested in cooking and having a good family time together.

Francesca is wonderful. She opens her home to teach the art of Sicilian cooking. She starts her course with flour and eggs and we go from there. We made three different types of pasta and made three different dishes. All of them were superb. I HIGHLY recommend this excursion! It is a 30 minute urban drive from the docks and worth every second!

Francesca is an excellent teacher and chef. The three pasta cooking class (stuffed ravioli, cavatelli, fettuccine) were delicious, accommodating my family's dietary restrictions (vegan, but allergy and shellfish allergy). She is a warm hostess and very organized chef. Delightful and tasty!

Did this class in Sicily in May 2026 and it far exceeded my expectations! Francesca is a talented teacher and chef, and our group thoroughly enjoyed the process of learning multiple different pasta techniques and sauces in a convivial setting. Francesca was able to adapt the recipes to ensure it catered to both the meat eaters and our one vegetarian equally. Everything we made was delicious and the class left us feeling empowered to try it at home. Highly recommended!

Francesca was an absolute delight! I lucked out as the only person to book with her for my particular slot, so got a personal cooking class. She made sure I had the right directions ahead of time, and when I arrived taught me how to make 3 delicious dishes that I will absolutely be making for all my friends when I get home! While we were making the pastas from scratch and making the sauces, each one unique in its own way to Sicily, we talked about why and how each one was done differently here than anywhere else in the world. It was a great experience and I highly recommend Francesca’s class to anyone looking for an authentic experience. 5 stars!

Cooking with Francesca felt like cooking with family, it was warm, fun and delicious! Our kids absolutely adored this experience and it was so special to learn to make so many dishes. We will cherish this memory as a family. Also, the pastas were the best meal we had in all of italy. So delicious! Francesca was a delight to spend the day with and she was wonderful with the whole family!

Great authentic experience. Francesca clearly loves what she does and it translates into the experience we had. Francesca made the experience fun and it was very hands on. We made pasta from scratch and all the sauces. The lunch consisted of 3 different pastas, all unique. It was quite filling. Highly recommend. We walked from the train station, it is a bit of a hike, but doable.

This was an absolutely amazing experience! It ended up being a private class for us, which was great. Francesca is very passionate about cooking and is an excellent teacher. She is extremely knowledgeable and answered all of our cooking questions. She made us feel apart of her family!

Francesca gave us an excellent experience while ensuring we could have a great time with a large group of friends. She kept us on task when needed but was flexible with our group as we kept the drinks flowing on our own. We made plenty of pasta and had leftovers for later. Highly recommend!

The cooking class with Francesca was the highlight of our trip to Sicily. My college aged daughter and I spent the morning with Francesca making three types of pasta. Francesca is highly knowledgeable and her love for cooking and Sicilian food shines through her instruction. She speaks English as well as a native speaker. What an amazing experience cooking with Francesca! From the moment we walked in she made us feel at home...her kitchen was our kitchen. I went with my family including my 2 kids, ages 12 & 14. They were a little "tired" at first, but after a little fun "teasing" they jumped right in with us. Francesca's instructions were easy to follow & the food was probably one of our best meals during our 9 day trip to Sicily! I 100% recommend this class to anyone who wants to learn how to cook amazing food & have fun doing it . We may have started off as strangers, but we left feeling like family. Thank you Francesca ️

Francesca is really kind and takes care of everyone in the cooking class. She speaks really good english so you can follow everything she explains. It feels so nice getting the 110% siciliy feeling of the cuture, the heart of italy, the italian kitchen of course. Our family of 6 (including one baby) had a great time. Francesca accommodated all our dietary needs (one vegetarian and one gluten free). We laughed as we cooked, enjoyed a large meal, and were given a ton of leftovers!

Francesca was extremely attentive and friendly, which immediately made us feel welcome and comfortable. We weren't able to get a taxi on the day to the area, so she kindly offered to pick us up and drop us off. Once we were in the kitchen, she made a full spread of Sicilian dishes which were all full of flavour and joy. She made bruscietta, sausages, meatballs, alla norma pasta, and cannoli. As we ate, we spoke about her life, her upbringing, and her Sicilian culture and roots. As greek cypriots, this was incredible to learn about another culture, but also to see how many of our traditions and practises are similar to hers. Food was the best we've have had yet in Sicily! Kids 12 and 15 loved it. Francesca is a great host! Baghera is a lovely little town and we went early to see the sights there.

I’m a mom who was traveling on spring break with 2 fifteen year old girls and 1 twelve year old boy. Our day with Francesca was everyone’s favorite. Francesca was a lot of fun and speaks perfect English. She accommodated food allergies and aversions, and found a driver to get us back to our Airbnb. The pasta we made (3 different types) was delicious… one of the best meals of our trip. She kindly wrapped up all of our leftovers and sent it with us. I would absolutely recommend! This was an authentic experience and was exactly what we were looking for.

We booked the cooking class with Francesca but unfortunately, got some kind of respiratory infection right before our scheduled class. We didn't have Francesca's contact information so we went over, masked up, and explained that we probably shouldn't do the class today. She warmly invited us in, suggested we keep our masks on and that we could proceed with the cooking part. Francesca is passionate about cooking and introducing people to the art of Sicilian cooking. She is very warm and welcoming and willing to freely share her knowledge and experience. We learned how to make three kinds of pasta sauces as well as three kinds of homemade pasta. During the session, the conversation flowed and we got to know more about each others' culture. It was a very rich experience and well worth the price. Francesca then sent us home with a week's worth of food! The ravioli was probably the best I've ever had. We will definitely book this class again next time we come to Palermo.

My husband and I received this experience as a gift for our wedding and we are beyond happy that we did. Francesca was incredible. She taught us some of her favorite recipes and all enjoyed the meal together. We talked, ate and learned from one another. Francesca is so friendly, and welcoming to her home. We learnt to make 3 types of pasta and had a lot of fun whilst doing so. She showed us how to make red pesto, tomato sauce and Sicilian style courgette.

Francesca welcomed us to her kingdom: her kitchen with all her utensils, good tips and a lot of nice stories. What made our experience even more special was that we could learn in our own curve and time also considering our little one needs. You feel like home and enjoy a good chat with the best pasta. Amazing class, we were 6 friends some with partner and had an amazing time. Francesca was friendly, friendly and above all a spectacular teacher of Sicilian cuisine. Everything was delicious (although we did) and above all fun. An experience you should live if you come to Sicily.

Authentic Sicilian cooking with Francesca is highly recommended. On arrival, snacks and drinks were already ready. We have made exceptionally delicious ravioli, fettuccine and tiramisu. I was already good at cooking, but I still learned a lot of new things from Francesca.
