Agrigento's Valley of the Temples is a mesmerizing archaeological site located in Sicily, Italy, renowned for its exceptionally well-preserved ancient Greek temples.
Difficult to access the tickets and we never could figure out how to access the audio tour guide, and one of us is a tech guru. Very frustrating. The site is worth visiting, but get your tickets there.
To Buy the ticket it was easy but on site it was more difficult. Not pratical because we canot use the QR code as an entrance so we had to scan it and then to Access the audio guide we had to contact the help Desk because we didn’t have the user name and password. We lost 20 minutes. Personnel on site cannot help. Helpdesk very good and Quick at helping.
I purchased tickets through Viator to see the Valley of the Temples. I have used Viator before. When I showed my tickets which I downloaded from Viator, the staff at the Valley of the Temples would not accept our tickets. They said that they were not valid. I did not show them a voucher. I showed them our tickets. Since we were already there, I had to get in line and buy tickets from the front office at the Valley of the Temples in order to see the temples. Why should I buy tickets from Viator if they are not going to be accepted at the tourist attraction?
Amazing historic ruins, it can get hot in the summer so bring water, hat and sunscreen. We appreciated the online tickets as we did not have to stand in line to purchase.
Very interesting, but a lot of walking over 5 miles. Uneven ground. One of our friends fell. Be careful!
The site was amazing but I never got the ear phones to listen to the tour. I had to pay for them having already purchased the ear phones from Viator. No one could help me. I would never recommend Viator for this site. Better to just go there and purchase the audio tour on site. I think Viator should refund the charge I paid
Great place to visit. Can be very hot in summer months. Audio tour wasn’t the greatest. You can just get the audio that they provide at the entrance.
Great experience, great walking through the site. Be sure that you have downloaded your tickets before arriving, not just the voucher.
It’s very unclear from the listing that the audio tour is through your phone. You are required to download an app and it will take at least 5 moves to get the audio, IF you get enough cellular signal to do that. It should have been clear from the description that this was not a listening device given to you by the establishment. It wasn’t, so my group of fellow travelers was not happy with me.
Viator tickets to valley of the temples in Agrigento is a scam. They did it to two different parties (we met in the line). Do not buy tix through them or Vox for Agrigento. They send vouchers but no tickets and then you pay again at gate. Also, no skip the line option.
Not great, the geo location wasn’t accurate, the descriptions were basic and what was written on the signs, nothing to make it worth pre buying.
The Valley of the Temples is fantastic. A must see in my opinion. There is a lot of walking to do between the different sites, but well worth the effort once you get their. BAD THING the audio guide was so complicated to install and figure out, that we gave up and paid for a €1.50 map. What a joke the audio guide instalation was. Actually, the whole ticketing process is very poorly implemented. If your are over 25 you wont be able to figure it out! First up, you get a "voucher" from Viator. In some places this is refered to as a ticket and in other places its a voucher. The instructions tell you to show this "voucher" to the physical ticket office to get your real ticket. Well, this did work, sort of, the ticket office guy could not scan the voucher for some reason, so he had to manually enter the digits. He was very nice about it all, but the growing queue behind us was getting annoyed. The people behind us got their tickets in seconds. So in summary, audio guide was a dud, tickets were a dud and we should have just paid for tickets at the window and got one of their audio machines. Back to the audio guide. With multiple vendors involved in the chain, downloading an APP from the Play Store, being re-directed to more 3rd party links in their convoluted chain, all refering their "ticket" their "voucher", their "QR code" it is mind numbing to try to to figure out "which" dam QR code you are meant to scan. I'm an IT guy and i gave up!

The ruins are great, they are in an awesome state, the audioguide Is too long for each visited point.
The app was difficult to navigate and would have been a better experience had the list of sites been organized by distance from the ticket office instead of alphabetical. The commentary was good though.
They refused to honor our voucher. We ended up having to buy tickets anyhow at the gate. They were also rude about it.
I was skeptical visiting the temples as I’m not particularly passionate about history like my boyfriend is. However I thoroughly enjoyed it and was pleasantly surprised by how fascinating it was. The audio guide made a big difference- it provided a lot of context that I’m not sure I would’ve appreciated the experience as much without it. Great day!
Amazing history in my family’s historic province. Looking at ancient civilizations from an American perspective is mind boggling. Our history only goes back 300 years.
Just buy your ticket and audio guide when you get there. This is through Voxcity and you have to download two different apps to hear anything.
Audiguide has not worked. I want my money back! Price too expensive! The Tour is very nice. In the off season you can buy the ticket direct. Then it has not many people.
Viator reference number not valid with VoxCity. I paid for skip the line, but I had to stand on line for 1 hour. Viator QR code not accepted at ticket window. I paid for audio guides through Viator, but VoxCity App does not work. VoxCity had me download another App that didn’t work. Would NOT recommend Viator to anyone. A Complete waste of money and time. Worst experience ever.
Spectacular expansive site. Thousands of years of history- magnificent. Lots of walking but there are shuttles. End of september was warm (a little hot!) but glorious
Trouble at the gate with my on line tix. As 70 year old walkers..even this had us worn out..everything was extremely far from one another..maybe give it an hour..
The experience was extraordinary, but the process of booking through Trip Advisor was complex, needlessly bureaucratic, and stressful. You are sent a confirmation, then a voucher which was not initially accepted at the ticket gate. A helpful lady at the desk asked to see our e mails and eventually let us in. Tha Audio guide took ages to sort out via Vox. Several interventions were required. All very irritating.
The ruins were amazing. There was so much to see. I recommend spending the 3 euros apiece to ride up and only do the walk down The audio guide didn’t sync well with the walk
Showed the ticket at the office with no issues. Audio tour and map downloaded easily to my phone and was informative throughout the park.
The location is amazing! You can sense the history! The audioguide made it easy to get context on each temple! My kids learned so much!
Excellent day out would highly recommmend it, if you love your history then this really is a fantastic place to visit!!!
We had a lovely time seeing the temples, really loved the concordia. It’s a very pretty area that was easy to get to from our hotel. Good audio guide too.
Breathtaking views, beautiful landscape; the signage could have been better (for the audio guide) - but it is definitely worth a visit.
Okay, however, the audio guide (very little text, no background knowledge) is not worth the price (for 4 people). The Valley of the Temples itself is, of course, fantastic, but tickets could have been purchased on-site without waiting and at a better price.

I was on foot, landed at the museum, was then irregularly admitted to the Valley of the Temples and could not use my ticket and audio guide. A better indication of the exact pick-up location would be better

Extremely disappointed with the organization. We booked to have the skip the line and we had to queue anyway. For the audio guide we had to download an application that did not recognize our identity or our booking number. As a result we did not have any explanations during the visit. The link sent by the claimant also did not work so I could not reach them. Also the rate on site was cheaper 22 euros with audio guide instead of 27. Last time I book in advance 😡

The ticket was neither worth it, we were accompanied by bus to the top and then back, we saw the enchanting places of the theater the impressive statues.... with two small children, it was a nice experience.
Go in the morning so you don't have too many people and especially fresh!!!!! You don't need their 3 or 4 euro taxi to make half the way I recommend an arrival by gate V because it goes up to the outward but it goes down to the return and ascending we see the most beautiful buildings last!!!!
I simply could not enter the park because the ticket received was not valid. After almost 30 minutes and due to the good will of the local team, they released access. They did not give the audio and we were already tired of waiting and intense heat. I never had problems with Viator, but this time it was unfortunate!
A fiasco. The digital audio guide malfunctioned, and tickets received by others had to be lined up for redemption. On top of that the site is lousy marked, which is not helpful. Buy admission and audio guide to the site.

Sumptuous site But disappointing because audio digital guide never worked!!! And yet we had downloaded all the necessary applications. We are very frustrated. And we paid 54€
The Valley of Temples was great and worth a visit. But neither we nor the ladies at check-in in Agrigento were able to download the tickets. From Viator you only get one voucher, which is to be exchanged for a ticket. Unfortunately, this was not possible or we have always ended up on extremely dubious pages where we should open an ellenlong link, which Viator warns against. We only owe it to the kindness at check-in that we were allowed to visit the Valley of the Temples. The 20€ for the audio guides we had to write off. Our conclusion: Never again with Viator!
Stunning, it is like visiting Greece in the heart of Sicily. Well preserved and clean. Skip-the-line entrance and restoration and souvenirs at the entrance
No need to book through this app. We had to go through the ticket counter to pick up paper tickets, with no possibility of wire cutting. The audio guide has no interest, the explanatory panels are more complete. To avoid
