2 Hours Calessino/ Tuk Tuk Tour To Syracuse And Ortigia Island

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a great time on this tour! Vincenzio was knowledgeable, friendly, and fun, and riding around in the tuk tuk made the experience even more enjoyable. He picked us up right at our door, and the tour was a great way to get an overview of both Syracuse and Ortigia while learning about the area along the way. At the end of the tour, he even dropped us off at the restaurant where we had dinner reservations, which made everything incredibly easy and convenient. Highly recommend. We would absolutely do it again!

The pickup for this tour is in Siracusa, quite the walk if you're staying at the far end of Ortigia. There are many other tuk-tuk tours on Ortigia

Vicenzoo took great care to show us the coty he has lived in all his life. Old town, new town, churches, ocean overlooks.

Good way to see a lot of spots, especially with the intense daytime heat. The tour guide didn’t really speak any English- which was a little disappointing- as he seemed like a lot of fun- and while he used a translation speaking app- it sometimes fell flat. We still enjoyed ourselves and I used my phone to text a few questions into Italian which was ok. The Tuk-Tuk was cute and boy the navigate tight spaces. Ours seemed like it was on its last legs compared to some of the others we saw driving around- lots of smoke each time it started. Overall fun, value was 8/10.

We were a family of 5 and had to reserve 2 tuk tuks. They stayed together, which was nice, but our guides spoke very little English. We were shown different areas and still we walked away not knowing anything more than when we started. We still enjoyed the sights but it was a lot of $$$$ to not be able to communicate and ask questions.

We chose a tuk tuk tour as it was 35 degrees and too hot to walk around Syracuse and Ortigia. We booked on the day and so glad we did. Vincenzo was right on time and picked us up from our accommodation. He gave us a great tour of Syracuse and Ortigia with enough time to get out at important stops and enter churches or take photos. The area we covered was huge and despite being so hot the breeze was great when we were driving. The tuk tuk is not built for comfort and the roads not good so it is very bumpy. Be warned if you have back problems. Vincenzo kindly dropped us off at the shops and my husband back at the hotel. So glad we did this tour !

We had a tour with 2 adults and 3 young children (6, 4, and 1). It was a perfect way to see the city quickly and efficiently. Our children all enjoyed the vehicle, and the adults enjoyed learning more about the city!

Our Norwegian cruise had to reroute due to high winds in Catania, and instead we docked in the beautiful port of Siracusa. Fortunately, we found a fantastic two-hour Tuk Tuk tour with Sicily in Travel, and it turned out to be a wondeful tour! The meeting point was conveniently located just a five-minute walk from the port. Since we disembarked earlier than scheduled, we enjoyed a delicious coffee and croissants at a nearby café while waiting. When we arrived at the meeting spot, we were warmly welcomed by Iolanda, who offered us water and coffee as we waited. Everyone was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Soon, our Tuk Tuk arrived and our adventure began! Riding in the small, fast vehicle was such a fun and unique way to explore the narrow streets of Siracusa. Our guide was knowledgeable, pointing out key historical sites and stopping at several picturesque spots for photos. It was a perfect way to see the town in a short amount of time. It was efficient, informative, and very enjoyable. Highly recommended if your time in Siracusa is limited!

Our guide, Francenzio, took us to places we would never have found on our own. He was very cheerful, knowledgeable and polite.

What a great way to get around! It was perfect because at the time both my Mom and husband had issues with walking long distances. The Tuk Tuk was also able to get through many corridors that a regular vehicle cannot. It gives you a different perspective on sites that makes it WAY too much fun. We would highly recommend the tour!!

While we were in Sicily and didn't speak Italian, the trip was advertised that the tour was in English. Driver spoke no English, but used a translation app on his phone to tell us what we were seeing. Booked for 4 people, but only 3 could be squished in the back seat. I was forced to sit in the front seat with the driver....only problem was that the seat was really only for the driver. I had to sit at the edge of the seat so I wouldn't hamper the driver steering. Since the driver spoke no English, there was no interaction with him at all.

Vincenzo is very personable and showed us Ortigia with all her facets. In addition to the great places, he was able to tell us a lot about the story. Eir had already done the tour with the Calessino a few years ago and did not even receive half of the information. If you're Ortigia, make sure to plan a one-hour tour with Vincenzo.

Great excursion our guide Frédéric spoke French and explained everything to us each monument he gave us time to take photos and mini tours if we wanted it was perfect without him we could not have seen all this I recommend

Great way to see ortigia and its little alleys. We loved it. Super sympa Vincenzo. To be made and remade for the pleasure of the eyes. To use as a taxi to go to the restaurant when it is far away and hot.

He studied a lot about the history of Syracuse and explained it to us step by step. I stayed in Syracuse for a day with my mother, and she guided me from the Duomo to alleys I was unfamiliar with. I really recommend taking a tuk-tuk first so you don't waste your precious time.
