We recently stayed here and it’s quite comfortable, with a great location (15 minute walk) to the 4 corners of Palermo. The rooms are a little on the small side but clean and with a very comfortable bed. I used the gym and it’s fine however realize you need the key from the front desk to access the gym and the gym does not open until 7am. Especially helpful and friendly, as well as speaking English well, are front desk operators Angelo and Salvatore who made our stay very special and we all agreed, if/when we return to Palermo, we would stay at VillaFranca and make sure to see Angelo and Salvatore at the front desk!
My daughter and I stayed here for three days at the start of our vacation because the location was convenient and in a safe area. Our reception upon arrival by the front desk was very cold. Whenever I asked a question, I was made to feel like we were a bother by all three receptionists. They should be advised to smile and be more accommodating. The breakfast staff was very friendly as was the housekeeping staff.
We just came back after a 7 night stay at this lovely hotel.
The room was superb, very comfortable bed and sheets, a very relaxing room and lovely bathroom.
The breakfast was delicious and the staff very friendly and attentive.
When we came in we dealt with Angelo that was very helpful, giving us a map of Palermo and spending the time to show us how to get to the downtown area from the hotel.
The only advice I would give is to stop or mind people using cell phones loudly in the breakfast room when the other guests are having breakfast in peace. Unfortunately we experienced a loud business meeting between a guest and 2 non guest colleagues that suddenly came to the breakfast room behaving like it was their office, they were so loud that we couldn't hear our voices!!!I had to ask them to be quiet as we were trying to have a peaceful breakfast, they didn't even apologize!
So this is why I am sharing the only negative episode I experienced in this hotel, but it would be nice if this rude behavior could be avoided for the future maybe restricting the use of loud phone calls.Thank you.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Principe di Villafranca. The rooms are beautiful and well-designed, with comfortable beds that made for a great night’s sleep. The bathroom was very modern, spotless, and featured a strong, hot shower. The rest of the hotel has a charming atmosphere that adds to the overall experience. Breakfast was outstanding — delicious and plentiful. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Palermo!
Overall, I had a pleasant stay. The room was clean, modern, and tidy, with a nicely decorated lobby and a great breakfast. The staff were also very helpful. However, I was really disappointed that the WiFi didn’t work in my room. I raised it with reception a few times, but nothing was resolved and things they said was far from being helpful. It was quite inconvenient, especially since I was travelling with only mobile data. It’s a real drawback for an otherwise well-presented hotel. I’m left flabbergasted in my room now.
