We stayed here last year - such a classy hotel, I ashamed I only just took the time to give it the 5 star review it deserves. I don't know if I have stayed in such a opulent hotel in my life. The staff were amazing, I loved lounging by the pool - if I came back to Syracuse, I would definitely stay here again!

The upside: beautiful hotel, historic building. Rooms were ok. Great parking. To improve: the hotel has seen better days. Our room hadn’t been properly prepared (toilet wasn’t clean, towels not replaced, and - random - an empty beer bottle between mattress and box spring.)
What an absolute treat to stay at the Villa Politi! Highlights were the superb Head Waiter (I wish I knew his name!) who was on point every time we saw and experienced his kind, professional and wonderful service. Our room was tip-top - spacious, comfortable and very well equipped. Even when we needed assistance the team went into action double quick and sorted a slight problem. Lunch was a veritable treat and Happy Hour cocktails and wee smorgasboard was delicious. Highly recommended!
I love this hotel. It’s beautifully situated. The staff is very attentive, accommodating and friendly. The pool is just perfect. The rooms are classy and beds are comfortable. Every day the room is cleaned spotlessly. The breakfast is diverse and there is something different every day. It’s also only a 25m walk from Ortigia or the Archeological park.
The hotel atmosphere is lovely and truly historic. The rooms are neat and cosy. However, the breakfast was a major disappointment. I don’t think I’ve ever experienced such a poor and low-quality breakfast in a hotel of this level. It felt especially ironic to have it served in such a beautiful, light-filled ballroom. The selection was very limited, and the food felt cheap, with low-quality ingredients.
