The hotel is beautiful and set in a lovely, central location. Our room was comfortable, with good beds. As is typical in Italy, cakes were the main feature of the breakfast buffet, but there was also a good range of other options, including various egg dishes and fresh fruit. The service was excellent. We had made an error in our booking, which the hotel kindly resolved at no extra cost. Thank you for a very pleasant stay!
What a wonderful boutique hotel! We were upgraded to a sea view room with a deck for free, and loved spending afternoons watching the sea. The breakfast was amazing, and they had a ton of gluten free options.

What an incredible stay! This is without question one of the best hotels we’ve stayed at in Italy. From the moment we arrived, the front desk team made us feel genuinely welcome. Every single staff member was kind, warm, and incredibly friendly. Anytime we had a question or needed assistance, they were happy to help with a smile. It never felt like we were inconveniencing anyone, they truly cared about making our stay exceptional, and that level of hospitality is something you don’t forget. Our room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully maintained. The bed was extremely comfortable, the pillows were perfect, and the updated bathroom was modern and well designed. Breakfast was another highlight. You can choose from a generous buffet or order from the à la carte menu, and everything we tried was fresh, delicious, and served surprisingly quickly. The location couldn’t be better. It’s within easy walking distance of everything Ortigia has to offer, making it the perfect base for exploring the city. Yes, this hotel is on the expensive side, but after our experience, we can honestly say it was worth every penny. Outstanding service, beautiful accommodations, an unbeatable location, and a team that truly goes above and beyond. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Ortigia.
Our stay at Algilà Ortigia Charme Hotel was truly exceptional from start to finish. The staff went above and beyond in every possible way. A huge thank you to Denise and Blanca, who were absolutely incredible. After our luggage was lost during our flights, they stepped in immediately, contacting the airline, advocating for us, and even coordinating delivery. What could have been a stressful situation was completely eased by their care and professionalism. The attention to detail throughout our stay did not go unnoticed. Our room was spotless and refreshed daily, and the room service was consistently excellent. The waitstaff were equally impressive, remembering our preferences within just a couple of days and always being one step ahead with thoughtful, attentive service. The location is simply phenomenal. Nestled in the heart of Ortigia, everything felt magical, walkable, and full of charm. This hotel delivers not just comfort, but a truly memorable experience. We felt genuinely cared for every step of the way and cannot recommend it highly enough.
