the building is special but it is not well maintained (e.g.electrical socket broken in the room), service is terrible (nice young people working here but totally understaffed that did not speak english) and breakfast was terrible. the worst i have had in a hotel in a long time
For my family and I, Baglio Fontana was our first italian agroturismo experience. I have to say I was at first a little sceptic, but overall I actually loved it. 1. The FOOD: AMAZING. Stela cooks perfectly and her team (Giuseppe and all the colleagues) are really welcoming and warm. The Breakfast is great, and dinner also. They do have a good menu, but they also asked what we prefer and cook it perfectly. 2. The rooms: unique. Very spatious and cozy. I would have liked better mattresses, but we all took this detail as part of the “agroturismo” experience. 3. The cat: the kids call him Oreo. He is very nice and friendly. We hope he lives a long life here. 4. The pool: looks great, but late october was not the time to use it, sadly. 5. The garden: so big and beautiful, with a typical italian look. Very clean and nicely organized. 6. On our second day we had the chance to be guided around by an old man who knew a lot about the villa, which used to be a big winet with barns and everything. We really liked it! Maybe a small historical tour would beba nice idea to implement for new tourists. In conclusion I definitely recommend staying here. Next time will be coming in the summer to get to enjoy the pool as well.
We visited this agritourism hotel along with four other families, and it truly felt like a little slice of paradise. The hotel’s courtyard is spacious and beautifully landscaped, and the building itself is authentically Sicilian. Every detail reflects the Sicilian spirit. The host is incredibly kind and attentive. The views are breathtaking, you can enjoy them the moment you wake up and look out the window. The traditional Sicilian food is absolutely delicious. I loved everything about this place, without exception. Truly outstanding! I will definitely be coming back and wholeheartedly.
Great and authentic hotel run in a way that makes you feel part of a family. Billy, Marco and the Chef who cooked custom meals for our 1-year old son every day made our stay memorable. Would always recommend staying here, whether you are with family or else
Perfect for a family holiday with children, there were 15 of us of all ages. Away from the impersonality of a hotel we were cared for as family. Excellent in house cuisine. Staff helpful and wanting us to have a good experience. Handy for beaches and sites. Local shops, although scattered, had essential services. Good local restaurant in walking distance. Car essential.
