Sorkeling Trip To The White Island & Ras Mohammed

An amazing pirate ship trip to Ras Mohammed and White Island I booked this trip through GetYourGuide, and although I’ve done it before, sailing on a big pirate ship this time made it feel extra special. It was amazing! The staff were so friendly and helpful, and we felt really looked after throughout the day. We had several snorkelling stops where I saw some incredible marine life, followed by a visit to White Island, which is absolutely beautiful. I also had photos and videos taken during the trip and was so pleased with the results that I bought the lot. Such lovely memories to take home. The food on board was top-notch, and the whole experience was a real highlight of my holiday. Even having done the trip before, I thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely recommend it!

The picture depicted is nothing like the truth, the 'Island ' has 60/70 boats around it and you swim to the Island and stand with 200/300 people for a few minutes, complete waste of time. The 2 snorkeling stops were good.

They have a great team on the boat,your really taken care of.if your not a confident swimmer, they will stay with you.

Nothing of what we’ve booked was respected. The driver took us back to the hotel when we were halfway because he said that we should have give him more money.

My friend and I live in a big city and had intense professional life there. When I travelled to Sharm and discussed excursions with Samasm - our tour representative, I said I was looking for worry-free, well organised, no hidden fee tours, good experience and fun to rest our mind. All my expectations have been fulfilled and reached beyond. I often take boat trips when I travel, and I can say that this was the best ever, for several reasons: small number of passengers (maximum 20 people), the price accessible to all, the incredible sea and the most beautiful coral reef, attention and concern from the entire crew for our safety and comfort, the best diving and snorkeling instructors, not to mention lunch. I would do this experience again a thousand times, for all these reasons. Thanks Peter for letting us discover your company.

The boat ride out to the snorkeling area is perhaps 90 minutes, which is a really long time, and 90 minutes back (plus travel between sites). When you get there, all the boats are moored together around a small spot where there are fish. I'd say this boat tour is really more catering to people wanting the learning first-time shallow diving experience, and snorkelers are just along for the paid ride. Snorkelers get in the water but have to stay with a snorkel master so that you don't get lost and then can't find your own boat again. And the sea was rough! The snorkel master had a float ring that a bunch of people hung onto, so just imagine all the flailing arms and legs. I finally let go and swam free, keeping an eye on them. Meanwhile, the boat's main efforts were on the divers, who were all brand new, as well, and needed tons of assistance. Then we went to site #2 and site #3, and it really kept getting worse. Don't sign up because you want to see spectacular fish.....there were a few, but you'd need to know how to snorkel already and feel very safe in this rough water to see them. I have snorkeling experience so I saw stuff, but I'm not sure of the other few snorkelers. Go on this trip if you want a really, really long day out on the water with very loud music, don't go for viewing the fish. The scenery is pretty.

The boys were so friendly and reliable. The best excursion in Sharm! We definitly come back and choose them for other excursions. Samsam and Taher are amazing people and they make us feel like home. A special day, with special people in a special place!

The boat is quite old and needs repairing inside. Quite small also comparing to other fancy boats there. At first there was a long waiting time before they took off to sea. More than 2 hours. The crew smoked non-stoped. :( And stop to White Island was very short 30minutes. But they took where promised so...

Amazing day with an amazing team! Ibrahim and all the crew were soooo nice and professional! We didn’t think we would be spending such a beautiful day but it was actually the best decision we took! The boat is very clean and spacious, not too crowded, lunch was delicious. But most of all, the visit of Ras Mohammed and White Island was a dream! Thank you for the best excursion ever!

The experience of the tour can not be described with words. You should definitely try it. There were amazing views at both underwater and surface.

Fantastically, well organised trip. Contacted by Medhat from Sharm Wonders on arrival at hotel he organised pick up times and looked after me and my wife throughout the trip. This is an absolute must for anyone who would like to swim, snorkel, dive or just take in the scenery and soak up the sun.

We used Sharm Wonders for transfers to and from the airport (via booking.com). Our driver Beko gave us a leaflet for some excursions. We soon discovered that Sharm Wonders was extremely competitive with their prices compared to the hotel tourist reps. We chose the Snorkling trip to the White Island and Ras Mohammed and had a great time. (If doing this trip, we would recommend you take some warm clothes as the boat is very windy out at sea). After arriving back to our hotel, we discovered we had left a t-shirt on the boat. We contacted Sharm Wonders via WhatsApp to let them know. When Beko arrived at our hotel to take us back to the airport, he handed over the t-shirt and they had even taken the trouble to wash it. We were very grateful and very impressed.

We had amazing time with the tour guys. They have been extremely cautious and caring. They followed all the safety measures for snorkeling and scuba diving. The snorkeling experience was nice. Trip to white island was very enjoyable. The island itself is beautiful. We both have thoroughly enjoyed the whole day trip.

It was a nice day, the company and food were nice. White Island very crowded and not worthy, about 20 boats around the little “island” and 100 people on it. Ras Mohammed was nice, but not so different from the reef in front of the hotel where I was staying. Corals mostly white. I reported to the crew that something bit me while swimming and they said it was impossible. That evening I had bather rash all over my arms and one leg. The bus driver was very kind, but it took about 1h to collect all the passengers from their hotels.

Snorkeling area was small, overcrowded with more than 25 boats in the same are, not allowed to swim on your own, the only thing that was good was the different types of fis

Just now the under the water is a very short time. If u want more water snorqling, not for you. I would have loved to have more time to look around more!

We went for the snorkelling but to be honest the snorkelling was better at Temple Reef next our hotel. Our guide, who was excellent, informed that the number of permitted snorkelling sites in the national park had been reduced to a handful. The better sites that are popular for scuba diving were off limits. It’s a shame we weren’t told this before the trip. White Island is ok but not worth the 4 hour round trip. It was a nice day out but, having spoken to the guide, for snorkelling Tiran Island sounded a better option.

Sharm Wonders never let us down. Whenever you need airport transport, trip to Cairo, Luxor, swimming with dolphins, water sports snorkeling or scuba diving they are there to help. They can beat every price and most of our tours were private. Good guys providing excellent servise, top tour guides or even borrowing monies if you forgot them from the hotel ;)))))

Amazing experience, boat nice clean and wasn’t too many guests. Plenty of drinks. Incredible views and great snorkelling. Chances to try scuba diving for decent prices. Nice friendly staff.

I have booked several excursions with Sharm Wonders and will give a review for each of them We were met at our hotel by a taxi who brought us to the Marina, we had to wait for all the people managing the boats to register their different groups and have the go to , it took a bit of time,there is a cafe if you want but we had some water and just had breakfast so we just waited seated. The boat take quite a bit of time before arriving at the snorkelling spot. During this time 2 instructors explained how the day would go, what we need to know about the boat, going into the water etc... and gave us as well the options of doing an intro to dive, which we took as it was quite a good offer. When we finally stopped, instructors took turns between people diving (everytime with 1 instructor) and help with the snorkelling. We did not have any equipments but you can rent everything from them, life jackets, tuba and masks and it is way cheaper thann to buy it if you dont intend to snorkle often . The spot where you stop is limited but there is enough different fishes and coral for you to be amazed and the water is so clear, it is impressive to be able to see so deep ! After that we went further and had a quick lunch cooked on the boat which was very good. We then arrived on the White Island which was overcrowded (not that it is anybody's fault), stayed a bit there to take some pictures and went back to the boat, it was a bit disappointing but you cant prevent other tourists wanting to see the same things as you And then go back to the boat for the ride back which was possibly an our long you have coke and fanta + water available in the boat and 2 toilets there was 2 photographers, one on the boat and one taking pictures under the sea. We were with our 2 children who are 6 and 8, i would recommend the snorkelling only if you have confident swimmers, both mine were scared at the end by the depth of the sea (even with the life jackets you cant do much) I was expecting to be able to do more stops and see different snorkelling spots but i guess it is also depending on the schedule of the boat and when they are allowed to leave the marina. everyone working on the boat was professional and nice and the trip overall was quite affordable

This trip was supposed to include a snorkeling stop, the white island and Ras Mohammed. We never made it to RA’s Mohammed. Instead we stopped at a fairly small coral reef where we were originally told we would stop for 40 minutes. Then the operator tried to force as many people as possible to try scuba diving (for an additional price) and we wound up staying at the reef for two hours. We got to the White Island about 20 minutes before high tide obliterated it. I do not recommend this trip unless you truly just want to chill out for 8 hours. But it’s really not what it’s advertised to be.

No covid measures in place - picked up 45 mins late by a rude unapologetic non English speaking driver who crammed 16 people in to a 14 seater poorly air conditioned bus - hearses like cattle at the jetty with hundreds of people doing the same - White Island was very small and overcrowded with so many boats it was like an over crowded bus station - the divers and men on board for our safety were great though and happy to help - the snorkelling and diving stops in less crowded spots were however great

Quite disappointed with our booking, we were supposed to visit Ras Mohammed with a stop off at the white island, due to delays with collections we didn't arrive until after 10am, we then proceeded to sail for hours with 2 stops for diving and snorkelling and no stop at the white island, which was the main reason we booked. Relayed our feedback back to the operator and have not received a response. Would not book with them again.

We are big group and we went to the pyramids and sphinx we enjoy do much and we will be back next year . Thank you very much . It was an amazing tour

The trip is really nice. But organization of the process! In the bus transfer to the Port were too much people. Why you couldn't mention that tourists especially with babies will have some luggage? So it will be no chance to "pack" inside more people. Also lunch on the boat was so poor. Nevertheless team was great and coral is wonderful.

Thanks to Sharm Wonders for arranging an unforgettable day on the boat! I was deeply fascinated by the White Island. No water boundaries around, still you stand on the ground slightly covered by the water. Magic nature phenomenon! I’d like to thank an excellent crew who secured our trip and took care of all the needs during our trip. “Crazy shark” guys know their business. I travelled with a 3-years old child and if not those guys I would have had no chance to snorkel or swim to White Island. My son was charmed by these people and forgot about his mom ))) When the trip came to an end all the tourists on boat knew each other no matter what nationality we were, as the atmosphere contributed to it. Diving was perfect the diving team was friendly and helpful the whole cruise was perfect .....only the food was not good but i was not there for food

This is a around 9 hours trip stopping for 1 diving and for the white island 2nd stop.Make sure to have water proof phone bags or camera as there are around 50 m of swimming to reach the island.

Great experience. I was able to take in beautiful scenery and also made a good snorkel with the help of one of the guides.

Far too many people about 200 boats on top of each other and sailing 2 hours to go and another 2 hours to return. No swimming could be done, just be standing on a tiny sandy tongue and back to the boat. Very nice place. What a shame. Before this last pitiful snorkeling alter because still too many boats and not much room to do snorkeling. We do not recommend this outing.

syaff super nice and pleasant, diving with trained and available instructors where they speak a lot of languages to be understandable to everyone. In the end the trait itself is what everyone does so nothing different. The lunch offered was very good

I discovered Sharm Wonders because I booked the transfer from the airport to the hotel. We were immediately welcomed in a very professional and welcoming manner! At that point we decided to try one of the excursions (Ras Mohamed via boat) and we realized we had made the best choice! We then also did the Safari. Amazing excursions, great prices and perfect service that made us feel safe and welcomed. We had a lot of fun. Surely everything was made better by Sam, who undoubtedly made our holiday better in every way and we will never stop thanking him for this. It was a daydream that we can't wait to relive, and we will certainly relive it with Sharm Wonders!

I never thought I would find such welcoming and super-trained staff. Ras Mohamed and Neverland are spectacular.. the coral reef is an explosion of colors and fish.. absolutely worth doing again. Omar is a fantastic guy, professional and helpful, thank you so much ❤️❤️

Beautiful experience, an additional €20 to dive is worth the price although it would have been nice to dive at both stops and not just one of the two White island is a paradise.
