Sharm El Sheikh: Colored Canyon Jeep Tour With Blue Hole & Dahab

I went on the coloured canyon tour and I thought every second of it was incredible and well planned out! The transport was speedy and played music for us all to join in with. The friendliest bunch of people I’ve had the pleasure of spending the day with! The camel ride was really good with stunning views, snorkelling was out of this world and Mohammed was the best tour guide, being patient and sticking with me as water is not my strongest trait! Every step of the way he went above and beyond, was dead friendly and approachable and friendly! I really enjoyed the coloured canyon and loved watching the sun set. I would highly recommend it to anyone, a must have adventure!!

The tour guide was knowledgeable and an expert in what he does. The coloured canyon was the main highight of the tour for me.

Amazing experience. I would recommend 10/10. I had had read some reviews about it being closer to 12 hours which it was. But really the whole experience was worth it. Safi was excellent 👌

The Coloured Canyon tour in Dahab was average. It was an okay experience, but not the highlight of the trip. Three stars out of five. The day felt very long and drawn out. The food provided was okay but nothing special. The camel ride was okay but very brief, lasting only a few minutes. Although we were told by the guide that tipping was optional, the Bedouin children clearly expected a tip, which was uncomfortable and annoying. The quad biking was probably the best part of the tour, although it was also quite short. Snorkelling equipment (mask, fins, and wetsuit) had to be paid for separately at £10. We chose not to snorkel; however, others who did said the experience was not very good, as they were kept in a large group by the guide and ended up very crowded, with people constantly bumping into each other.

Hands down the best tour in our one week holiday! Contrary to all of the ones we’ve done this one was well organised and explained by all the amazing guides who walked us through every activity in detail and stayed by our side at all times! The whole team was super friendly, kind and available for whatever you might need, from the driver to the photographers❤️ SPECIAL THANKS to RAMI who is the best guy ever! Can’t say enough good things about this experience! Good timings within the activities and enjoyable relax

Such a fun day out with Kimo! This tour is fully packed with everything, camel ride, quad bike ride, snorkeling, jeep ride through the desert and a walk through the canyon and then finish off with a tea at a Bedouin camp.

Kimo was a great guide, he explained a lot around the local history and pictures. Unfortunately his company didn't give him the money so we could see the blue hole which was disappointing. He was very apologetic. The rest of the trip went well and we enjoyed the activities 😀

I very much recommend the trip. It’s very well organised. The snorkelling in the blue hole is an extraordinary experience. We were supported by an experienced and supportive guide. I liked the photos and videos taken by the tour guide. Lunch was very good. It’s important to have some local cash to pay for the use of facilities like toilets and showers.

Nice tour overall, but be aware of what you're actually visiting. The tour itself was enjoyable and well-organized. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable, the jeep safari was fun, and the Blue Hole snorkeling was fantastic. Lunch was good and the overall experience made for a pleasant day out. However, I need to point out that this tour is somewhat misleading. While advertised prominently as a "Colored Canyon" tour, you actually visit Salama Canyon (mentioned only in parentheses in the fine print). These are two different locations with significantly different experiences. Salama Canyon is a pleasant 800-meter walk through a mostly open wadi with a very short narrow section. It's pretty and worth seeing, but it's not the world-class slot canyon experience that the actual Colored Canyon offers. The real Colored Canyon features much longer slots, higher walls, and more dramatic scenery. If you know you're going to Salama Canyon and set your expectations accordingly, you'll have a nice time. It's still a beautiful spot and the rest of the tour activities are worthwhile. Just be aware that if you're expecting the famous Colored Canyon slot canyon experience based on the tour title, you may be disappointed. I'd recommend the tour operator be more transparent about which canyon is actually visited to avoid confusion and disappointment for future travelers.

OK trip, usual stop on way to buy stuff from a side of the road setup, similar stop on way back. The blue hole was great, but the food was the usual faire, rice, grilled chicken, and cold. All the drinks were extra cost. We were meant to go shopping in Dahab, but due to some snorkelers being very late our guide cancelled the shopping in order to get to the Canyon in daylight. The Canyon was good, amazing colours, but beware its not easy walking. We had to rock hop and some serious steps. Our photographer was brilliant as he led us through and helped anyone who was struggling. The Jeep tour was just a 5 minute drive to and from the car park to the entrance of the Canyon. All in all was a good trip but a little disappointed that due to lack of planning we missed Dahab.

We had a fantastic time with Emad and our group. Emad was very knowledgeable and explained everything. His team was very helpful and flexible with our demands. It was quite windy that day so they gave us two snorkeling options as the Blue Hole would have been more challenging due to the weather conditions. We decided as a group to go to the second option, the Three Pools dive site and the reef was amazing with healthy corals and lots of fish. Overall very happy with our day and good value for money!

They take you for shopping and they push you to rent useless equipment. They leave you little time for the interesting experiences and then they allow plenty of time at shops of their choice. They told me the sea was cold and dangerous and that I needed to rent a diving suit and a floating jacket and fins, but none of these were needed. The guide was good but he said the agency decided the stops.

This tour is falsely advertised. It ended being 12 hours long. We were picked up at 7:30am and dropped off at 7:30pm. They were late and disorganised. We spent 2 hours travelling to the Coloured Canyon and went on a 10 minute Jeep Tour to the start of the Canyon which meant we had to hike up and down the Canyon for about 40 minutes. The hike was difficult with alot of high, rocky, and uneven pathways. The route was not for the average person. We then went shopping to one store selling perfume which became another 40 minute pitstop. Finally arrived at the beach. The ATV tour lasted 15 minutes and the camel ride was 10 minutes. The snorkeling was 1 hour and ended being extremely long and slow paced from changing and hiring the gear which was a separate cost to completing the snorkeling tour. "Lunch" was only served at 4pm and was extremely cold We did not receive the complementary bottle of water per guest as stated on the tickets. We were also not informed that our passports were required to enter the national parks. Overall extremely long and tiring. Spent most of the tour on a bus with 20 other people driving to different locations and ended up not being worth the money at all. Highly not recommended this travel company and tour.

Wonderful well organized tour, exceeded my expectations. It was an adventure packed day. Great value, comes with lunch. Mohammed is a great, very gracious guide. He stayed with us during snorkeling to make sure we are safe and enjoy. I also appreciate that there was a photographer on hand who took the most amazing pics of me. Lol. This means a lot to me as I am traveling solo. The charge for the pics is $10 USD. So worth it. The whole trip was worth the money. Thank you.

Great experience, included the quad biking and camel ride before heading to the canyon. Start at 8am and finish around 4:30pm. Mohammad was a great host and an honest man, made the experience easy.

Lots of new experiences! The tour guides were very friendly and helpful, the lead guide even let me borrow his shoes when I was struggling in my sandals in the Colored Canyon. Snorkeling was incredible, great coral and bright colored fish.

An absolutely fantastic experience! The snorkeling at the Blue Hole was beautiful, and the Bedouin lunch was exceptional. We also enjoyed some shopping in Dahab city. But the highlight of the entire day for me was the jeep safari that took us all the way to the Colored Canyon — a magical place where time truly feels like it has stopped. We travel as a couple and like authentic local and fun experiences. We tried to make the most of it, but this was a tourist scam. Guide was all talk, but delivered very little. All day is just a big rush, we rode camels on a overcrowded, poop smelling beach and camels were in very poor condition. The quadbike was good and colour canyon very nice. But you don't have a guide that would explain things or be with you literally anywhere. You get zero new knowledge, or facts about culture or history. The worst of all was the blue hole trip, you are basically forced to rent the swimsuit, snorkling goggles and flippers for 12€ (the price just changes all the time) and you really really don't need any of it. The "guide" will say that you need it cuz the water is cold, you can get cut on corals.... but water is warm and snorkling mask is just useless cuz corals in the blue hole are all dead and there is nothing to see. Guide was also promising to go with us and explain everything and show us how to snorkel for those who haven't done it before. But right before leaving for the blue hole from the lunch site he directed us towards a car with a driver who doesn't speak english who took us there, literally dumped us on the beach and left us alone. Also in Dahab you will go only to an overpriced tourist mall and i suggest you if you do decide to go on this tour (and i advice you not to) when coming to Dahab just go your own way through the city to see locals, authentic cheaper shops and how people really live.

The excursion was great! we stayed perfectly on schedule and the organization was excellent. The explanations were clear and engaging, and assistance was always available when needed. The atmosphere was positive and friendly, which made the experience even more enjoyable.

The snorkeling is not worth it, 1 guide takes 20+ people and if you get into difficulties you are on your own, you also have to pay extra for a wetsuit which is unnecessary and a life jacket is a must, shopping trip was 3 shops, the Canyon was lovely but be prepared to do some climbing.

Trip was soo fun!! 12 hour tour! Loved loved the adventurous from visiting Dahab, quad bike, camal rides, safari, and eating Egyptian authentic foods and visiting the canyon.

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a fantastic day! Everything was perfectly organized – we were picked up on time from the Aurora Oriental Resort and brought back safely in the evening. The whole tour was well planned, and it’s amazing how many different activities are included in just one day. If you want to experience a bit of everything, this trip is the right choice! Our two guides were super friendly and shared lots of interesting facts about the area. We joined as a family with a 12-year-old and our 87-year-old great-grandmother, and everyone could easily take part and enjoy the adventure. In Dahab we found some lovely souvenirs, and we’re already excited to see all the great photos and videos from the day. Excellent value for money, and the communication beforehand via WhatsApp was smooth and very easy. Highly recommended!

The 2 guides and the driver were nice people. The snorkelling in blue hole was amazing. Lunch was good and then the camel ride and quad biking. Rounded it off with a visit to a natural canyon. It was a very enjoyable day
