Very early pick up at 4.10am, transfer from hotel was great, flight great, pick up and trf to the Pyramids was great. The trip down the Nile was a waste of time and money. Too many plastic bottles floating, boat music too loud. Minimal info from the tour guide and nothing to see except diggers in Giza pushing building debris and rubbish into the river, disgusting to watch. Pyramids were great to see close up, similar to the Sphinx, a visit down into the tomb was hot and non eventful but free. *Local sellers became a pain and very insistent once they realise no husband in tow, wanted English £ but took $10 out of my hand ! I argued loudly and he finally gave me back $8 which was change for a head dress he put on me that we did not want or ask for*. GEM museum was great, but I think was more enjoyable with our free hour rather than with the tour guide. She was very knowledgeable but it became boring and repetitive. We were unable to read any printed information whilst with the tour guide, she said her but and moved on so we came away feeling we had not covered the museum fully. The trip to a bazaar/shop was not needed at the end of the day, clearly the tour guide/driver knew the owners. The day could be cut shorter by 2 hours. The walk from the Sphinx to an average restaurant was ridiculous and possibly dangerous, literally walking in the road with the traffic. Anyone with mobility problems would struggle on this tour. At this time of year (end October) the flight time could be an hour later as the heat is less or an earlier return flight would be recommended. We flew at 06.00 and return flight 22.00.

Itinerary
You will be picked up from your hotel around 4am. Upon arrival in Cairo, your tour guide will meet you and accompany you throughout the tour. Meet your Egyptological tour guide at the museum to start your day. Visit the state-of-the-art Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), the largest archaeological museum in the world with over 100,000 artifacts, or the Ancient Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square. Select your preferred museum during the booking process. Afterwards, enjoy your lunch. The further course of the excursion will take you to the great pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus. The pyramid tour ends at the Sphinx and the temple in its vicinity. If time permits, you will have the opportunity to drive to Cairo Bazaar at the end of the day before returning to Sharm el Sheikh. Upon arrival at the airport, you will be driven to your hotel in an air-conditioned car.
When returning from Cairo in the late evening, we will spend some time visiting medieval London (Khan el Klalili Market), Old Cairo, recently added to the UNESCO World Heritage List, or Cairo Festival City, an extra-large shopping mall (air-conditioned), one of the largest in the Middle East. Full of the most famous international brands, restaurants, cafés and a giant dancing fountain, where you'll be drawn to Cairo's chic, modern nightlife.
If we have time, we can make two characteristic visits to the Papyrus Museum and the Essential Oils Factory. These two attractions will introduce you to ancient Egyptian techniques for making papyrus and essences. These two interesting visits expand your knowledge of daily life in ancient Egypt and are also helpful for the Egyptian farmers who work in these sectors and preserve these very ancient handicrafts from ancient Egypt. (These visits depend on the time remaining.)

Great day out, Ibrahim was a great guide and took us to the pyramids and GEM museum. Early flight but you get to the pyramids before the crowds so worth it, lunch was great and the museum is amazingly done.
An unforgettable day in Cairo, made exceptional by Mohamed – but disappointing customer service from Book Tour Egypt We booked an excursion from Sharm El Sheikh to Cairo to visit the Pyramids of Giza, explore the tombs of the pharaohs and visit the Grand Egyptian Museum, and the actual day exceeded all our expectations! Our tour guide, Mohamed, was absolutely fantastic. He was incredibly knowledgeable, passionate about Egyptian history and able to bring everything to life. He made the entire day wonderful, helped us navigate everything smoothly and ensured we got the most out of our experience. We were particularly grateful that he allowed us free time to enjoy being around the pyramids at our own pace, take everything in and appreciate just how incredible they are. The whole day was fabulous, and Mohamed played a huge part in making it so memorable for us. We cannot praise him highly enough. Unfortunately, our experience with Book Tour Egypt before the excursion was far less positive. We found it very difficult to get hold of the company, particularly as they use multiple WhatsApp numbers. Despite having booked our excursion over a year in advance, we had received no communication as our tour date approached, and I had to spend two days trying to contact them to confirm our arrangements. When we eventually made contact, we were informed that the price had increased by £60 per person – effectively an additional 50% on what we had originally agreed to pay. We were told that we either had to pay the additional amount or the entire excursion would be cancelled. With children looking forward to such a special experience, being put in that position was incredibly frustrating, as cancelling was not really a realistic option for us. The manner in which the situation was handled was also disappointing, and we found the lady we spoke to quite rude. It is such a shame that the booking process and customer service caused so much stress before what turned out to be an absolutely brilliant day. Our advice would be to make sure you reconfirm your booking and the total price well in advance. The excursion itself was outstanding, and Mohamed deserves enormous credit for making it such a wonderful experience. However, the communication, unexpected price increase and way the issue was handled by Book Tour Egypt left a lot to be desired. Thank you, Mohamed, for an unforgettable day in Cairo. You were brilliant, and we would happily recommend you as a guide!
I had a fantastic day exploring Egypt, including the Nile, the Pyramids and the museum. The pick-up arrangements were very flexible, which made the whole experience much easier and more convenient. The journey was also much better by plane than by coach, only around 45 minutes, which gave us much more time to enjoy the sights. Our tour guide, Reem, was excellent. She was extremely knowledgeable, has a PhD, and did a great job making sure we saw as much as possible while still allowing enough time for breaks and to enjoy the experience without feeling rushed. The buffet was also very good, and overall it was a lovely, well-organised day. We saw so much, learnt a lot and really enjoyed ourselves. **Definitely worth the money and highly recommended!**
Great trip to experience Cairo in 1 day. Reem was a fantastic tour guide highly educated on the history of Egypt and gave us great insight into ancient Egypt and the dynasties. We drove a boat on the river Nile and Reem vey kindly took some lovely family photos for us. Finishing off at the GEM seeing the artefacts from the past. It’s was a full packed so be well rested the day before to take in the whole experience!
Worth every penny. Falcon (our guide) was good and friendly enough. Only downside was the delay in the flights to and from Cairo.
The trip was fantastic. Very easy from start to finish. Ahmed our guide was brilliant. Would highly recommend ❤️
Khaled the tour guide was amazing and could not have been better for us as a family. BUT- DO NOT BUY AN ELECTRONIC VISA- we paid for this the night before and when we arrived at Sharm El-Sheikh airport were told it was incorrect and had to pay the whole amount again. Aside from this we have had a FANTASTIC day with Khaled and our driver- thank you so much, 5 stars for Khaled and the driver!
Best day out ever first time seeing the pyramids! Guide was great and we got a discount with code NEFEAST5 on GetYourGuide
The experience was amazing . Our guide Reem and driver Mo Abdullah were great . They have been so friendly during the whole trip and Reem is so experienced and walk us through the whole egypt history . We are very pleased and we recommend the Book Trip in Egypt.
Very well-organized tour! I enjoyed every moment of it. Abbas brought the history of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) to life, making us feel as though we had traveled back in time. An unforgettable experience!
It was a fantastic day! A big shout out for our tour guide Reem! She was such a great guide! Really kind, so knowledgeable! She took a really good care of us! Thanks for everything! We highly recommend this tour!
Mr Falcon was an amazing guide who made sure we all have great time. He also have great knowledge. The trip was worth all the money.
Our tour guide Sholah was very welcoming and very knowledgeable we would definitely recommend him to anyone and also very good at taking the perfect pictures for us. We had amazing time :)
Overall good trip and very nice and positive guide. Just my recommendation - the boat in the end can be skipped. The trip is anyway super extensive and there is plenty of activities.
What an amazing experience. The pyramids are fascinating as is the museum. The TV and pictures do not do it justice. We had Abdul who was just awesome. His history knowledge is something else and he was warm, friendly and accommodating and a fab photographer. We have some wonderful pictures of a very special day made better by our host. A must do when visiting Egypt and ask for Abdul as your trip will be amazing from start to finish. Expect to be tired, it's a long day but worth it. One tip would be to get and pay for the correct visa upon arriving in Egypt. Enjoy.
The experience was once in a lifetime! Khaled had lots of knowledge! The Nile ride is not to be missed, we did a horse ride at the pyramids and it made the trip better, lots of time at the pyramids! We even had time to visit the old market although it’s very busy with traffic. Really good day and would recommend!
The tour was amazing. You will have to wake up very early but to be able to see Kairo, the pyramids and the museum was amazing. The tour guide was 10/10. I Recommend this tour a 100%
We really wanted to experience the ancient egypt, and our guide Ahmed Sholah was good at communicating about the history throuout the excursion. 10/10 experience
Absolutely fantastic day out and worth every minute of the long journey! 🇪🇬✨ Seeing the incredible sights of Cairo was an unforgettable experience, and I’m so glad we made the trip. Our guide, Sam, was absolutely fantastic! He was extremely knowledgeable, passionate about what he does, and shared so much fascinating information throughout the day. His enthusiasm really added to the experience, and I couldn’t recommend him highly enough. Our driver was also very courteous, polite and professional, making the long journey comfortable and enjoyable. The time of year was perfect for visiting. There were still crowds at the main attractions, but I dread to think how busy it must get during peak season! It’s a long day, but absolutely worth it if you’re staying in Sharm el Sheikh and want to experience the incredible history and wonders of Cairo. I’d highly recommend this trip, and if you’re lucky enough to have Sam as your guide, you’re in for a fantastic day! 🇪🇬❤️
Amazing experience fantastic guide Reem and mr Hassan driver would definitely recommend
Overall my trip from Sharm El Sheikh was good. Achmed our tour guide did a good job . We visited pyramids and Gem. Also did Nile tour ( extra)
It was a great experience. We booked only 2 days before and the company accomodated us very well. We had a great time with our guide Ahmed as he was knowledgeable and humourous. Would highly recommend
Amazing experience and a great guide
We booked this trip to Cairo with Achmed, would recommend the tour and excellent 10/10 tour guide, very knowledgeable We covered soooo much in one day, pyramids with camel or carriage ride, GEM museum and Nile River trip, it was definitely worth the money! Achmed was excellent at making recommendations and helping negotiate with prices for gifts, he told us what not to fall for with people by the pyramids which we really appreciated. He even opted to take us on a city tour to show us around before going to the airport as we had spare time, there was no rush all day and could take our time and plenty of free time to explore too Good tour company and guide
Achmed was a fantastic guide, extremely knowledgeable and shown us all the best spots for photo ops, gave the group time to explore for themselves. Top top guide and tour
Lovely day our guide Achmed was lovely, very cheerful, humorous and went out of his way to make it that way.
Absolutely incredible. We certainly got lucky with Dr.Hesham as our guide today. What an outstanding and highly knowledgeable man who took time to explain the important aspects of the Pyramids and the NEM. It was a lot to take in and my brain is tired off the experience but if you're going to travel to do this, please ask for this man. I cannot fault his knowledge, humour and courtesy today. Mohamed our driver was fanatic, full of smiles and always waiting for us. I have loved this experience and it has made our time in Egypt magical. Thankyoy Dr.Hesham
Achmed was our Guide for the day and he was simply wonderful, top bloke who was brilliant for his descriptions around our tour for the day the museum the pyramids must say his knowledge was 2nd to none and his English was excellent and even better his sense of humour 😊
An amazing experience. Jimmy is extremely knowledgeable with Egyptian history and took us to the best places
Overall good experience. Guide was excellent. Tour was worth it. Only thing was a proper guideline around visa process and associated fees should have been shared with customers especially those who visit directly to Sharm El Sheikh and also plan to visit Cairo.
Me & my family had such amazing day Flying only took 45mins instead of a long bus ride to Cairo , we then visited the pyramids with camel riding & going inside one of the pyramids, we then had a buffet lunch which was all inclusive after that we visited the new Grand Egyptian Museum Then we finished our day with a boat trip on the river Nile ~Moustafa I guide was amazing & know much history about the Egyptians We would definitely recommend this tour 10/10
Booked the day trip from Sharm to Cairo via plane through getyourguide. Our tour company was Book Tour Egypt and we were kept updated with all pickup details etc. We were at Sunrise Remal so we were the first pickup at 0315hrs which meant a 0230hrs get up!! Flight was 0530hrs so we were in Cairo for 0630hrs. We then met our guide Jimmi and our driver. Being driven through Cairo is an experience in itself!! Visited The Pyramids of Giza first and was there early before it got too busy. A fantastic experience with plenty of time to look around and good knowledge from the guide. It was very hot but we had a constant supply of cold water in the tour bus. Next was a buffet lunch in a restaurant with a view of the Pyramids. Lovely food but drinks were extra. Onto the Grand Egyptian Museum. Again another fantastic experience and we were able to skip the queues. Again lots of free time to look around and explore. 3 hours in total but it's that big it's impossible to see everything in that time. That was then the end of the arranged itinerary. We still had a few hours to kill so we paid 10 euros each for an hours river cruise along the Nile. We were also taken to The Papyrus museum where we had a demonstration as to how it was made. They did try to pressure you to buy products but a polite no worked. However can't say the same for the perfume factory where we were also taken. They gave a demo of various fragrances and medicinal lotions and oils. After this came the very hard sell and you felt very pressured into buying something which we did. It was only later when I researched this that it was clearly a scam where the product sold was probably cheap rubbish. This was the only disappointing aspect of the trip really given that our guide took us there. Apart from that overall it was a fantastic probably once in a lifetime experience.
I booked this excursion for my daughter and myself and we had an amazing time. First off its a very long day our pick up was at 4.40 am. We were taken to the airport and when we got to Cairo we were met by our guide. We were driven to the pyramids. Along the way our guide explained all we were seeing along the way. Once at the pyramids our guide was very helpfull taking pics keeping the scammers at bay and explaining everything to us in great detail. Afterwards we were taken to a perfume shop given drinks and shown diffrent perfumes with no pressure to buy. After this we were taken to a restaurant and the food was top notch..after this it was off to the GEM. Once again our guide was very helpful in explaining all we were seeing and last but not least a boat trip on the Nile..Like i say its a very long day but well worth it
An incredible day out and worth every penny. Reem is a delightful and knowledgeable guide, with a particularly great tour round the highlights of the museum. The rest of the team including the security guard and the driver were great. My partner is a wheelchair user and while aspects of the trip we're not exactly wheelchair friendly, Reem and the team could not do enough to help. Thank you all for the wonderful day and the tremendous help.
Its a long day we got picked at 4.40 am and got back late in the night but what an amazing day. Our guide new so much and took pictures for us. He was friendly and peofessional.
Karim, our driver, was punctual, friendly, and made the journey smooth and comfortable from start to finish. Abbas, our tour guide, was outstanding — incredibly knowledgeable about Egyptian history and took time to explain everything clearly, always making sure the children in the group were included and engaged. We also added the optional boat ride, which was a beautiful and relaxing experience — well organised and a great addition to the day. A brilliant team and a memorable tour. Highly recommended for families and anyone wanting a well‑run, informative experience.
Really good experience. It is an early rise, but it's worth it. Our guide, Jimmy, was very knowledgeable and informative and ensured we knew what was happening at all times. With such a packed itinerary this was very important. Would highly recommend!
Mr Falcon was an amazing guide and made sure all our needs were met, he explainee lots and still managed to give us free time.
Brilliant trip highly recommended! From pickup to knowledge of the guide, to Nile tour, museum, pyramids and a lot more
Sam and Anee gave us a fantastic experience, and even some special treatment because unlike our group, we decided to skip the museum and went for an authentic cairo shisha bar with Anee. They went above and beyond to make our day memorable, and we really appreciate the opportunity to have spent our day with them in Cairo! Best pyramid tour in Cairo!
We were a family of 7, with 5 children from ages 7-14 and we all had a brilliant (but exhausting) time! Communication was excellent, we felt everything was under control at all times. Instructions were clear. We were met at every stage, from hotel pick up to drop off at the end of the day. We were never kept waiting, everything was run efficiently. In Cairo our tour guide Ahmad was brilliant. He was so knowledgeable, passionate, funny, and considerate to younger passengers. We loved hearing him talk about Egypt's culture, Cairo's history, and of course the pyramids. He paced the day well, was very patient if anyone fell behind, and gave us enough space to explore on our own, while giving us great advice on what was worth spending money on, and how to keep safe. The only parts we didn't enjoy as much was when we made stops to a couple of shops, and we didn't love the hard-sell. I understand that these are parts of most tours, but our group had several young teenage boys, so somewhere more relevant to their tastes would have been better I think - a market with trinkets perhaps, rather than perfume? Overall, I think when you have a good guide, it really makes a tremendous difference and we were really lucky with Ahmad. It was for us the trip of a lifetime, and we loved it.
Everything ran smoothly, the pyramids were amazing and Ahmed, our guide, was very knowledgeable and entertaining.
We did the Cairo excursion from Sharm with our two girls (9 and 11). The early 4am start was worth it as once you've landed you head to the pyramids and beat the heat and the crowds. Our guide Ahmed was excellent — he was very knowledgeable and kept the kids engaged, nothing felt rushed. The pyramids are amazing in person, photos don't do it justice. GEM Museum was a great add — modern, air-conditioned and full of facinating artifacts. The day was capped off with a felucca ride down the Nile. A perfect way to wind down after a long day. Highly recommend. Ask for Ahmed.
From start to finish, the communication from Book Tour Egypt was clear, organised and punctual. As I was travelling to Cairo with my young son, safety was particularly important to me, and Ahmed took extremely good care of us throughout the day. He was always within earshot, offering guidance, reassurance and support, while still giving us the freedom to enjoy this incredible experience. Seeing the Pyramids was absolutely amazing, and Ahmed even gave us the insider’s guide to getting the best photographs, navigating the area and staying safe. His knowledge of Egypt is outstanding — he brought the history to life with fascinating facts and stories throughout the day. Most importantly, I felt that my son and I were in safe and capable hands from beginning to end. Thank you, Ahmed, for taking such good care of us and helping to make our visit to the Pyramids such a memorable experience. I highly recommend Book Tour Egypt for anyone considering a Cairo and Pyramids trip from Sharm El Sheikh. 🇪🇬🐪❤️
I had a private tour with a wonderful guide Sam who was very accommodating, we kept changing our minds what we wanted to do and nothing was much trouble for him. We had personalised experience, we were told what to avoid on the trip and overall it was an amazing experience. Sam’s knowledge was invaluable.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ahmed was a fantastic tour guide — very knowledgeable, considerate and friendly. The whole trip was extremely well organised, and he made sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying themselves throughout. His jokes were genuinely funny, and his photography skills were brilliant too! 📸 He captured some fantastic moments for us. We had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend Ahmed to anyone looking for a great tour guide. Thank you, for making the trip so enjoyable!
Was very easy to book and at a competitive price. All details were sent in advance and clear. Pick up was on time and the full service was very efficient. Driver was very good and tour guide very knowledgeable and approachable. Tour guide - Ahmed made the day very enjoyable. Price included all admission fees and lunch. We did in 1 day, long day but made the most of it. Thank you Ahmed and team.
Absolutely awesome. Truly once in a lifetime trip. Transport was great and our driver was there whenever we needed him with cold water. Our guide was Hussain and he was amazing, his knowledge was epic and he couldn't do enough to make the day brilliant. The GEM was truly outstanding with so much to see and do. I could have spent days in there. 100% recommended.
Great day out exploring Cairo! easy transfer to the airport and reps along the way. Treated by our lovely guide who was with us all day! We visited the pyramids first to beat the heat, and then after visited the new GEM museum. We also visited an oils and perfume shop, and another which taught us how to make paper out of papyrus. We had lunch included with views of the pyramids, and also had a boat ride on the Nile! fab day out and looked after us from start to finish, especially my 7 year old Son. Thank you team! Would highly recommend!
